I really enjoyed my experience here. The waitress was awesome. She quickly acknowledged me and told me to sit anywhere--taking my order soon after. She regularly checked up on me and topped off my coffee. One of the cooks even took the time to check on customers, and topped off my coffee too. Service like this seems to be rare these days. I wish I caught the waitress and cook's names. I would have loved to give them a shoutout. Thank you! My food was cooked just about as good as it could get. There isn't much else to say. The place is DISGUSTING!!! The inside open kitchen is FILTHY!!! My daughter purchased a Shrimp Dinner to go for me, when I opened the box the shrimp were really dark I assumed they were probably over cooked until I opened several of them the batter on the shrimp was gray and the shrimp we're rancid. I contact the store and was told that I could not be issued a refund because of there CORPORATE POLICY. and don't even get me started on the corporate number. I contacted them waited over 25 minutes and then got sent to a Cold Stone complaint line. I do not normally eat at places like this. This is mainly the reason why they do not have any type of Consumer Friendly service. While driving back from Tampa on our way to NC, we stopped overnight at Hinesville and chanced upon this place for breakfast. The kids enjoyed the chocolate waffles with aplomb and the omelette were great as well. We topped it off with some house coffee which was pretty smooth. Worst dine-in experience I've ever had. waited almost 2 hours to get our food. Server claimed he was swamped but there were 3 other servers working and they weren't even on a wait. Asked for a refill of coffee and literally got a sip poured in my cup. Didn't even receive half the food we ordered and it was cold. I asked to speak with the manager and she was EXTREMELY rude to us. Will definitely never return to huddle house again garbage experience just go with waffle house. We've lived here almost 3 years and have never been to this southern staple. Cat was our server and she was sweet and attentive. Food here is cheap and comes fast, not typically my go to kind of place being I prefer more gourmet but sometimes we can make exceptions. I'd come back at some point. I ended up not eating, and got the server to take it off my bill and I left. My daughter grits were disgusting so she ate something else instead but atleast it didn't have a hair in it like mine did. I could see the cook that the hair was coming from. He is a bald black man with black and grey beard and I knew it was his because the little hairs were black and grey . Put bacon on my sandwich that I asked for none then tried to take the bacon off and give me the sandwich that tasted like bacon it was gross! Great service here for breakfast with the hubby! We were greeted kindly and quickly by Lisa (I think that was her name). She was patient with us as we took a while to order, all with a great smile and attitude the whole time. They were packed so I expected her to rush us or be grouchy, she was awesome. The food was delish although I prefer my toppings cooked into my omelettes. Everything we cooked well and they even remembered to give my bacon an extra crisp! We didnt eat barley any of our food and they would only take off our drinks, the manager never even came over to us just sent her words through the waitress and didnt even try to resolve our issue. I'm leaving one star simply because zero isn't an option. Had lunch here yesterday with some friends, and it was the worst restaurant I've found so far in the Hinesville area. The waitress was friendly enough when we walked in, although busy wiping down a filthy table. When she was done she seated us, then gave us about 15 minutes to peruse the menu. Somehow she found her way back to the table after chatting with the cook and took our order. That was the last time she visited the table without us having to wave her down. The coffee was bitter and stale, the orange juice concentrate wasn't mixed properly, leaving a film in the glass, and the food was cold when it arrived half an hour later. After finishing most of the meal, at least the portions we were able to eat, we had to flag the waitress down and ask for the rest of our food (waffles we ordered but hadn't even been cooked yet). When she brought the waffles, she cleared off other dirty dishes, dropping a bowl in the process (and blaming it on us when another waitress shouted at her). Frankly, I don't know how this place manages to stay in business; suffice it to say, we won't be back. read more
