Interior is clean despite being a bit worn. Today is Memorial Day so not a lot of folks on the road. There was one other local couple there. Our order came out super fast and piping hot. It's not gourmet but it was a solid diner breakfast served by friendly staff. They even offered us go cups of coffee as they knew we had to get back on the road. I think the Overall 3 rating may be unfair as many of the negatives were during Covid and most are more than a few years ago. Our experience was just fine. Would definitely stop again! read more

I tried to call in an order and no one answered the phone. When I did go in the server was very rude. Unfortunately we ordered the fried chicken tenders and they were burned beyond recognition and the chicken itself was like sawdust and we had to throw them away. I gave this a 2 star because the atmosphere was very friendly and the waitress was very apologetic and very kind. However the wait was extremely long. We got there around 10:30 and it had a couple tables no biggy. About 30 minutes later a few more tables came in and ordered. Around 11:25 we still had not received our food and the other tables who came in after had received their food. We received our appetizer sampler around 11:45 and the pickles were sadly very burnt to where you pick them up they just crumbled. We told our waitress she apologize brought us more and it was the same thing, so I wouldn't recommend getting the fried pickles.. around 11:45 we received our food and majority of it was cold like it had been sitting for a little bit. And at one point the cooks behind the counter told them to stop taking orders. Driving down from Memphis to Orlando, we stopped here for dinner. It's a great location off the highway and plenty of parking plus lots of tables that have a handicapped-accessibility sign. The Loos amused me - there was the outline of a cheerleader and a quarterback to signify men vs women. Also lots of blokes wearing camouflage jackets - I counted 4 tables with someone wearing that item of clothing! Our server, Sarah was super awesome and attentive - she verified our order and also kept checking up that we were satisfied with everything. Our meal cost just under $20 incl tip. I got the fish n chips plus two sides - okra that was awesome and the sweet potato fries ended up growing on me. My mum got a large salad and really liked the blue cheese dressing although she wished the salad leaves had more variety instead of just being all iceberg lettuce. Since I also had a few more hours to drive till Atlanta, I also got a coffee to go. So mum and I overall really enjoyed all our meal choices tremendously and much to our surprise, because we were expecting this restaurant to be similar to Waffle House and didn't realize they'd be line cooks in an open kitchen, who made our order fresh or how extensive the menu options were. Food wise, I didn't even mind that "frozen" fish taste because the batter taste was pretty decent and the cod was cooked at a perfect temperature and not over-cooked. Also just great coffee!! I thought it would be a very American dark roast and wasn't looking forward to drinking it, but to my surprise and delight it was a mild & light roast and I enjoyed my cup of joe that helped me make it to Atlanta safely! I will start by saying that I liked the breakfast food choices. I think the food is fresher and higher quality than Waffle House. I've eaten at huddle house before and go back, but probably not to this location. The service in this location is absolutely terrible. We came in last Friday night after an afternoon of hunting. The waitress directed us to a dirty table with the promise of wiping it down in a bit. This was not a one time thing. Throughout our entire slow paced dining experience, she continued to put people at tables that had not been bussed. She would only clean the table after somebody sat down. When she set the table she shorted us a set of silverware. We ended up needing to ask for it multiple times when she could be bothered from chit chatting with some of the local patrons. Once the food came out, she finally realized she never got that silverware. She then proceeded to forget my friend's waffle through multiple asks and about 15 minutes. Finally, we sat there with our plates and glasses empty for too long waiting for our check. Just as I was going to get up and just go to the register, she said she would get the check. This is an odd place because they give you a check, then you proceed to the register (like Waffle House or Denny's), but the same waitress must run your ticket at the register. We stopped at the Huddle House on 129 and I22 on 1/10/22 at approximately 3pm. We sat ourselves. The cook turned around and said that some one would be with us in a moment. My wife said that the cook said something to the servers. We set there for over 15 minutes without being greeted. We were not the only one's not greeted I saw the two servers just staring in the horizon. We and the other couple left. They also show up at the Huddle House by Loves on exit 14. We love huddle house and we go at least once every other month or so. We have noticed the service declining since covid, which is not the employee's fault. I never ever have anything bad to say. Even if we have to wait a little bit, it's worth it. The food was still great. However, they are severely understaffed. Which again, isn't their fault. BUT we went in and there was only one table clean so that's where we sat. Everything was fine until we noticed our waitress looking on her phone. The cook had our food up and announced that the order was ready while she was at another table talking. The other waitress (super sweet) called our waitress' name to let her know our food was waiting on her. Still nothing. So the other lady took it upon herself to serve us. Now, if our waitress would have been busy with work related issues I would not be writing this review. But she was socializing and on her phone while she had customers waiting. Huddle house, please do better. I know it's hard to find people who actually want to work and do their job correctly, but it's hurting your business. Small quiet establishment with a friendly atmosphere. Our server was very prompt and friendly, she helped my husband with making his brunch choices. Coffee was delicious and made fresh. I ordered pancakes and my husband got eggs, bacon and sausage. The food came out fresh and correct. Pancakes were nice and fluffy, they were not over cooked. So let me just say I'm NOT the type of person to complain about a business or blast them on social media because I have worked fast food and I've worked customer service for 16+ years! If you're nice, they're nice. If you're rude, they're rude. This is ANY customer service! We went to Huddle House in Winfield tonight. We arrived around 10:30pm. When we walked through the door we was told it would be a 30 minute wait. We said okay no biggie. We waited 5-10 mins before they took our order for our drinks and then when she brought us our drinks the waitress then took our order for our food. When we started ordering we was told they had no biscuits, pancakes, waffles etc.. (It's huddle house how can you not have pancakes and waffles???) My Aunt then respond with "Y'all really ain't got waffles" the waitress then responded "the shift before us didn't leave us nothing made. Let me go make sure." She comes back and they are able to do pancakes and waffles. We repeated the order 2-3xs. The waitress even called it back! We waited 1.5 hours on our food. My aunt, youngest niece and I went to the bathroom. When we came back the manager asked us if we was ready to order. To which we replied "we done have. we have been waiting over an hour!" Then they brought out our order... IT WAS WRONG!! We was told by the waitress that messed our order the last time we was there that the waitress that took our order tonight was new. My youngest niece ran out of drank. I timed it. 45 mins. They walked by our table multiple times and NEVER offered refills. They left food out and charged us for food we didn't even order! My aunt knew I was going to say something so she left me to deal with it and she went to the car. I told the manager that we waited over an hour on our food. Never received refills, had to ask for silverware, syrup and our order was screwed up and still didn't get everything that was ordered! The manager responded she understood but that was before her shift. I have years of experience in this line of work! First of all.. I don't care what kind of shift drama you have going on.. you never tell a customer! If the managers were doing their job and you was too.. you'd have product ready to go. If you'd spend less time talking to your co-workers your customers wouldn't be waiting 1.5 hours on food! Last but not least do not put in a order that's easier for you! Driving from California to Florida is a long drive. Stopped here for a quick bite and ended up leaving hungry and worst wasted 40 minutes at this restaurant. Simple order biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. After what seemed like a long time I noticed that everyone who came in after me had been served and all were enjoying their meal. I looked at my waitress and she immediately realized that I had been waiting a long time. She went right to the grill and talked to the two cooks. I was served 1 flat biscuit cut in two with a ladle of gravy in a styrofoam bowl. The bacon was undercooked and not swimming but drowning in grease. Disgusted I ate my pathetic biscuit and paid my check. I asked the cashier if they considered a halved biscuit two biscuits and she said no I should have been served 2 whole biscuits. We've never been to a Huddle House and asked for a hamburger and Roasted Turkey Sandwich to go. Both were delicious and came with fresh/hot cooked fries and sweet potato fries. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Price was excellent!!! Service was terrific! We'll go back! read more

I always prefer huddle house over Waffle House , but being from South Carolina we don't have huddle houses so I took advantage of eating at this one since it was right by the hotel. I got the bacon and cheese omelette and hash browns . It was greasy but good. The nearby food options in this area are fairly limited. All in all it worked out okay. read more
