I have run…read moreseveral non-medical related companies, and from an executive oversight perspective, the Glens Falls Center is so poorly managed, and in such disrepair, the facility should be closed. I also strongly believe the company bills insurance for unnecessary medical services. In any event, the staff at the nursing and PT level are nice folks and this review is strictly limited to the folks that adequately fail to operate the facility n a professional manner. The corporate office needs to pay a visit terminate all senior management at the facility, including but not limited to, Amy Russell, the purported director, and Kelly in the business office, which tells patients she can't stand the place, and they should file a complaint with the state. They order services that are not necessary, and they forget to order equipment that is necessary, and form the basis of the actual stay. Again, I have never operated a medical facility, but apparently the folks in charge here are not that much further along. The food is miserable, not appetising and a total waste of any patient's time of they are trying to maintain or gain weight. THere is no dietary supervision, you get what you get. One night it was about a cup of mac n cheese and a little plastic cup of broccoli. Another night it was a turkey sandwich, just two pices of bread and a very little meat. NO mayo, no veggies, no nothing. Go anywhere else, it doesn't matter - can't be worse than this place.

My transfer form listed none of my symptoms, and my partner's form only listed some of hers--leaving out important details. When we called back to have this corrected, the person on the phone was dismissive and did not listen to our concerns, despite the errors being on their end. This experience was frustrating and concerning, especially given the seriousness of why we were seeking care. The receptionist was very rude and made assumptions instead of listening to what we were trying to explain. She misunderstood the situation and ultimately hung up on us.

Many are older with no transportation. Appointments are impossible to get. Hospital policy of sending patients to Urgent Care has hurt you. You do get a big team to work with but they dont keep you informed of med changes and dont explain risks. Not friendly. Not cocreative. Techs badly in need of training. I was refused fresh clothes and told to try and get along with my violent roommate who threatened me. I got out and went to my pharmacy and i was given 14 days of most meds and only 3 of the most important. I would never ask anyone to visit me there. It is not safe. Food was mostly ok and chaplains rocked. Forget calling an ombudsman to complain. They never show.
