Had an amazing day sitting by the water and catching with an old friend. We got hungry for an early dinner abs went inside to just peak at the menu and ambiance and decided to stay and eat. Best choice ever. Greeted so friendly and warmly by host and then had an equally attentive and gracious server Gil! Everything we ate was delicious. Nothing to complain about except my date should have booked a room because I was stuffed and ready for a nap. We will absolutely be back because I have to try the lobster roll I passed on to have the short rib not disappointed just need to try other dishes lol

It's a very nice setting. The service was good and the food was good. The pop over was lackluster if you're going to go through the trouble of making them, you should go all the way. The salad was good, but disappointing in portion size for the price. This restaurant is banking heavily on its location and not so much the quality of the food

Spectacular food and service! The only thing I'd change was the immensely loud table near us. It was such a peaceful setting but their rowdy laughs and conversations broke the peace. My wife and I otherwise loved the food.

Homemade cider sangria - OMG taste just like Apple crisp as it does have a cinnamon stick

Right on the river which is cool because you can see what is going on - the restaurant was very cute antiquity also offer showers as I saw a baby shower passing to the ladies room. The service is great our waitress was friendly - I will assume the manager came over to us to check on us which was night. It was a nice lunch meal and the drink I had was on point and might be only in season for the fall season - definitely check out as there is outside dining.

Had a nice lunch here with my family. Very cool old building and absolutely incredible views. Our waitress was great. Popovers with strawberry butter are put on your table when you arrive. It was warm and huge! Strawberry butter was fun but I think a honey butter would be a smart move. We ordered crab cakes for an app and they were pretty good but still a bit cold in the middle. It wasn't lumps of crab but the string kind. I ordered the cajun shrimp salad. There wasn't anything Cajun about it but it was fresh and tasty. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food and the consensus was it got the job done well.

My mother and I decided to spend a couple of days and nights here to escape the city. This historic inn, right by the Hudson, was perfect. Finding the front door was a bit difficult (go up the stairs), which made us crabby after a train misadventure and then lugging our suitcases up and down stairs and through a tunnel. When we arrived at the front desk to check in, it was somewhat chaotic as people were also being seated for meals. But we finally checked in and a nice man carried our luggage to our rooms. There are stairs, no elevator. My mother's room, on the second floor, had a balcony overlooking the Hudson (with chairs) and a small indoor seating area. It was lovely, although she couldn't get the armoire doors to open. My room, on the third floor, was a suite of sorts with a daybed and second television in the second room, which also contained the Keurig coffee maker. Neither room had any closets. There were hooks on the back of the door to my room, and on the wall of the second bedroom. My mother put her coat and jacket on a chair, since the armoire was unavailable. The bathrooms have been fully updated and modernized, although the bathtub in my room was smallish and very shallow. The shower had weak water pressure and was difficult to adjust. But there were nice thick towels and scented toiletries. The bar lounge area, with a fireplace (which my mother loved on a previous visit) has been converted into another dining area, filled with tables. The fireplace was off, as there was a table very close to it. We were lucky to be there during Restaurant Week, and there was a wonderful three-course prix fixe menu. The food is absolutely superb. We had two dinners and two breakfasts at the hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. We had a hot breakfast Sunday morning (included with the rooms) and a cold breakfast (we both had the yogurt, berry, and granola parfait, also included) and delicious coffee. Everyone working at the Inn was friendly and kind, even when it was really busy. Which was pretty much all the time.

My husband and I stopped by this spot in Cold Spring after a hike and a train ride from the city. We picked it for the outdoor seating and stunning fall views of the water. Pros: The location is perfect--clearly a lively tourist & local favorite. The host was kind enough to let us use the restroom while on the waitlist, and the pizza (especially the margherita) was phenomenal. I'm still thinking about it months later! Cons: The rest of the food was hit-or-miss. The popover was disappointing with the wrong texture, and the soup had either too much sherry or brandy. Service, though friendly, was slow, and there was a long wait for outdoor seating even with open tables inside. My husband's lobster bisque was more bisque than lobster. Great for pizza and views, but I'd skip the extras next time.

Craig and staff did a wonderful job hosting my daughter's bridal shower. Craig is a pro- at planning and the wait staff very attentive. The luncheon delicious.

Went for a birthday lunch, nice atmosphere with river views, service was very good, ordered crab cakes, would recommend, house salad was good and the salmon with crabmeat was okay but lacking in flavor, would not order that again.

We found Benny Havens on Yelp and thought it looked worth a try. This place is what it is, a local institution that does what it does; if you want something else, go someplace else. It is of course unabashedly an Army bar. Sure it's a dive, but in the coziest, best sense of the word. The owner and staff were welcoming and the food was simple and honest. All they have is hamburgers/cheeseburgers and wings, and fries or onion rings! That's it! We had cheeseburgers and fries/onion rings and everything was fresh and tasty. The bar is a great big wooden thing and I bet it has stories to tell. The beer was cold and the whiskey tasty. It's cash only, so bring your greenbacks. I don't often have reason to stop at places like Benny Havens, but every time I do, I wonder why I don't visit more often.

We came for the burgers - and must admit was wary of going to a little pub for food- but they did not disappoint! The burgers were big and juicy and tasted like they had been grilled on a backyard bbq. (So good I forgot to snap a photo!) The fries were light and crispy (similar to McDonalds). We tried the chicken wings as well. They are fried and not as juicy as I typically like, but had a good flavor. It's a limited menu but there's a little something for everyone (chicken tenders, burgers, onion rings, mozzarella sticks). The waitress and bartender were both very kind and friendly to myself and my son, who were visiting West Point Academy for the weekend. We also met a couple of WP Alums who were meeting up and very nice and welcoming to us both. Def recommend if you're in town for a local experience - swing by for a burger and a beer!

Nicely charred, glazed balsamic and underneath was a coating of a whipped ricotta. Great dish! Unfortunately, our entrees were brought out minutes after our appetizer came out. Very annoying and the server just stared at us like - here, where do you want this? The French Dip and Short rib grilled cheese were both good. Tasty, they get a bit heavy, but we're really nice. Good cuts of meat and hardly any fat or grizzle. We opted for salads instead of fries, which that allow you to substitute. The acoustics here are awful as they have a tin roof and nothing really for sound absorption. With only 4 or 5 tables of costumers, we could barely hear ourselves talking. They charge a 4% credit card fee. Service was excellent, aside from the kitchen waitress rushing the food out. Nice pub overall and I recommend.

She approached and asked had anyone came over. She proceeded to finally take our orders. After we received our orders I asked for a spoon for the oxtails. She came out 4 times to help others at their table, then she noticed me trying to get gravy on my rice with a fork and I guess it clicked she returned hands full with said spoon wrapped in a napkin I had to take it from her because she was unable to hand it to me.
