I recently discovered black mold in the soap/ bleach dispenser tray of my Whirlpool front loading washing machine, purchased from Hudson's. When I removed the tray to clean it, black mold covered the whole interior of the housing. Hudson's was indifferent when I expressed my concerns and asked for help or a referral to get the mold,seen and unseen, properly removed. I am a 75 year old woman who has owned several washing machines, never with this issue. I have done my best to clean the apparent mold, but don't know what lurks in areas I do not have access to. After every wash, I have to remove the soap dispenser and let it dry. If you Google Whirlpool/ mold settlement, you will see this is a known issue, which Whirlpool was forced to settle. Over the past 7 years, I've purchased the following from Hudson's: refrigerator, microwave (twice), dishwasher, washer, dryer, and a Traeger. The Kitchen Aid brand is crap, constantly breaking, resulting in service visits/fees. My microwave and washer crapped out recently so I called for repair. The washer needed new suspension springs, and I confirmed that the technician would have them. He shows up, spends 15 seconds confirming the suspension spring replacement solution, but doesn't have them on hand. That's $125 service fee. I work with service dept to reschedule, and it's another $295. I'm confused about this high cost, so I reach out to them and I get a sales person who says "that would be from service, I am in sales." I escalate to the owner (nice guy), but they don't understand they can't charge me $1,200 for a new microwave I got at Home Depot for $499, and then $420 to repair suspension springs on my washer that I got from Amazon for $65 and can install myself in 20 minutes while watching the YouTube instructions. All in all - I'm spending less than $600 where they wanted to charge me over $1,000 more for what? Wasting my time? Hudson's - we are officially breaking up with you. Our refrigerator iced up every couple of years, and we would call for a repair (after warranty expired) and it would be de-iced. Then Hudson's Appliances came to Chico, along with a wonderful repair man who not only de-iced it, but said he thought he could repair the actual problem! And he did! It's been 4 years and it's been perfect. For some reason I couldn't leave a review on their website then. Had an issue with our dishwasher not draining and they were once again recommended to us. A technician (different than the one who came for the dryer) came out two separate times and continues to tell us it's clogged, but it's still not draining after a complete cycle. Fast, professional appliance installation, and take away, very courteous staff

Purchased an entire suite for the kitchen, paying more than $12,000. Paid $100 each for installation of five appliances. The installers could not install the downdraft properly. After they left, I tried the down draft. It got stuck and would not lift properly. I checked underneath and they "shimmed" it with cardboard and MY duct tape. Spoke with the OWNER and he said that was perfectly acceptable. Also said had they taped it in place it would have been fine and I would have never known. I asked for $200 dollars back as they did not install it or the stove top. He refused saying he would only pay $100. I read installation directions and they were not using the supplied brackets and clips. This owner is rude, condescending, unethical and dishonest. He claims "Military Owned" but does not have the ethics one would expect from our military personnel. read more

Post-fire, we went to Hudson's to look for a new set of kitchen appliances. Vince to the time to show me the differences between brands and models and then place my order. But anyone can do that. Even Lowe's. Where the real difference lies is after the sale. It took our contractors months longer to finish our house than we expected. Did Hudson's call us to get our stuff out of their warehouse? Never. Did they make several trips to ensure that the install date would go without a hitch? Absolutely. Their installers are without compare. Professional and incredibly helpful. At the last minute, we realized that the refrigerator we'd selected was going to stick out into the kitchen. I called Vince and without hesitation, he switched us to a counter-depth model and took the original back. Seriously - who does that?? After holding it for us, then delivering it! Moved into my place with the dryer not working. They couldn't get me in till a week later, so was understandable that they are busy no problem. The technician comes out and doesn't even touch my unit. Leaves a note saying he has to come back with another person cause he needs help since it is a tight space, understandable. I then have to wait another 5 days to get the next appointment, the two guys come out and are very nice. Takes them less than 2 minutes to find the issue going on. The nob on the dryer was cracked and that's why it wouldn't start. They replaced it and were gone within 5 minutes. So with my first appointment could have been an easy fix but since this technician decided not even to look at it one bit or run any tests, I had to wait over 2 weeks to get this fixed. Called Rhea to ask why this wasn't looked at when I had my first appointment and was given no explanation, no apology, and was completely rude to me. Not sure since I'm a young college student they think they can treat me a certain way but this has been a very disappointing interaction and would not recommended them. read more

My husband and I were in the market for a Traeger grill. We did a lot of research online and learned that Hudson's is the only gold level dealer in Chico (and Paradise). This means that they have a wide range of products AND they are the only ones in the area to service Traegers! We had never been in before, but were immediately greeted by Gabe, our salesman. Gabe was super cool and a huge help! He hooked us up with a nice little starter kit of pellets, rub, etc to go with our new smoker/grill. It being a holiday week (4th of July), we knew we wouldn't be able to get it delivered before the 4th. Within an hour of getting home we got a call that they would deliver it the next day (July 3rd)!! What a great surprise! I was not there when they did their assessment and asked if they checked the drain filter. The repair guy lied and said he did and it was not much in it. Went there with cash to purchase a new refrigerator. The salesman ( Gabe) came over, we told him we were from Paradise and needed to buy a new refrigerator due to the fire an old food being left for over a month, also asked if they had any discounts for fire victims. He said their refrigerators were already at rock bottom prices and he couldn't help us until we gave him a measurement of our existing unit.
