Needed to replace the AC on my travel trailer. Bought a unit and was going to do it myself but my help fell through. Called a place that had lubed the axles before and asked if they would do the installation for me but they said since I bought it myself rather than having them order it they wouldn't do the install. (If I had them order the unit they would certainly have marked it up by hundreds of dollars and the warranty would be in their name rather than mine.) Called Ron's RV and asked if they would do the installation. After assuring them that it definitely fits the same opening, etc. they said they would do the job. When I took the trailer and AC unit to their shop I asked about replacing a dead exterior USB port as well and they said no problem. They installed the AC unit and replaced the USB port and didn't take a long time to "get to it" like a lot of RV repair places do. I'm very satisfied with the shop and the crew there and will definitely return for all future RV needs. read more

What I was preparing myself for was half a days work, with at least one airco being replaced, whether it needed it or not. I took my motorhome in for 3 electrical problems. Both electric awnings and the stairwell cover slider were inop. They diagnosed all the problems quickly and accurately. After our visit, I understand why. Ron, Donald and Paula went out of their way to go over our long list of 5th wheel problems (1999 Alpenlite!). They scheduled us, gave the estimate and went to work. Ron came out to where we are staying in our motor home to take care of a refrigerator that was freezing everything. He was easy to work with and was very prompt and reasonable. He also found that there was an unrelated recall on the unit. He helped me get Dometic to cover the cost of his coming to us, so I didn't have to break camp and take it to be repaired. read more

Totally not sure how to fix a skylight in our 5th wheel bathroom, we found Rons RV and Repair. We were so happy that the part we had purchased to fix it with was the right one and that Rons crew could easily get it installed and the little bit of water damage that was the original problem was an easy fix as well. They got us quickly back on the road and the job looked great when they were done. We are very picky and I have to say we were both very satisfied in how quickly they finished and how good the job was done. The people we dealt with (Paula And Ron) were very knowledgeable and helpful. We appreciate the courtesy. Thank you. Thanks to the guys from Ron's for coming out and getting our jacks up. We were stuck, the automatic system failed to get them up. They explained everything they were doing to get them up manually and told us what we needed to have done to fix the problem. We've been taking our 20+ year old Class C motor home to Ron's since we bought it early in 2014. Ron and his staff have been consistently helpful and accommodating as they repaired deficiencies, taught us much that we needed to know, and advised us on what was essential and what was not (special thanks to Nate for his patience with us). Additionally, our vehicle needed various "fixes" and the guys engaged us in discussion and assisted us to achieve what we needed/wanted at a cost that we could afford. Finally, Ron treats customers with unfeigned hospitality, so that a visit is like stopping by to see a friend - albeit one who actually knows what he's doing! read more

I had Ron's RV replace the cooling unit on my class A motorhome in July of 2013. They made the initial repair in decent time, and we left for a trip one day after the repairs were completed. When we arrived at our destination we found the fridge side of the coach covered with water, and there was no ice in the freezer. Upon our return home I asked for a tech to come to my home and inspect the coach. He found that the water line to the freezer was NOT hooked back up, and the inside walls of the coach were now waterlogged. He stated the coach needed to be taken back to the shop and the cooling unit removed AGAIN to replace the water line, which they did, but not in a timely manner. After waiting over a week I went to the shop and asked for my keys. There was no apology as to not completing the work right the first time, and there was an attitude with it as well. Upon inspection I found the lower cabinet panel below the fridge was scratched, and the coach was very dirty. Forward one year later. I took the coach out of the inside storage center, and started all the systems to check things out before our trip. After some four hours the fridge and freezer shut off, and it was not able to be turned on since there was no power to the power switch. I checked the fuses and looked at the wiring inside the service panel. The coach had to be taken to Chico RV for repairs. The service manager there called me to say there were several safety issues that needed to be addressed. Most of the wiring was incorrectly spliced together, and the main power wire had melted. It was obvious that the folks at Ron's RV did not take the time or use the right materials to complete my repair, and in light of the water line mistake I can see why. It will cost some $400 to make the proper repairs AGAIN. Buyer beware of this repair station. read more
