If you look at my lengthy review recap ,you can easily see I loveeee bbq ! I love ribs and have coined myself the baked bean connoisseur. While visiting SC ,I knew bbq was top on my priority list . After a brief search ,I came across Hudsons and decided this would be my fix for the day . Not only do they have a bbq buffet ,they also have a separate bar area . I had a craving for fried catfish ,but was swayed and decided on the bbq brisket burger . I don't know why I didn't get that it would a burger topped with brisket . Chileeeee. The meal came with 2 sides . I opted for French fries ,coleslaw and added the mist have baked beans . I don't even know how to explain to you just how big this burger was . The serving sizes are immaculate! I truly believe 2 people could share this burger . It was such a THICK patty with pulled brisket , grilled onions ,melted cheese and burger toppings . This burger would be perfect for Jolly Green giant or maybe even Goliath . This is a MANS MEAL !!!!! there was no way I could consume even half . It was too much for my palette. I had to take the patty off and just eats bits of the brisket and sandwich toppings . The coleslaw was the appearance of KFC which in all honesty is my favorite type of coleslaw but this here was ... actually terrible .bland and flavorless . The baked beans were the biggest disappointment . Kinda like a canned pinto bean flavor . It was just so bad and it hurts my heart to say that . I tasted my dates mac n cheese ,it was decent just needed some salt and pepper . My date didn't speak while consuming his meal ,he cleaned his ribs CLEAN. He loves greens and says they were edible not his fav, says his mac n cheese was good and would eat them again . Overall I'd have to give this establishment a 3/5 Not my favorite but I would return to try a few other menu items .

Really nice BBQ joint in Lexington. Large seating area with rustic appeal. Moderate noise level. A few TVs on the walls showing sports Service was good and restaurant clean. Our waitress even brought replacement drinks well ahead of us finishing the first ones, almost like she had ESP and knew we'd need them before we did. You can order off the menu or opt for their $10 buffet, which includes a few meat options, many sides and three or four desserts, but no drink (extra cost for that). A couple in our group had the brisket and they said it was excellent. I got the buffet and it made for a really good lunch - the pulled pork, fried okra, Brunswick stew, and hash & rice, all so nice. The banana pudding and peach cobbler were equally as good. Absolutely no complaints here.

A+ value around Lexington. Great food, very nice buffet, servers very professional - all around a star in the local BBQ scene.

This is my favorite buffet and BBQ restaurant in the area. The Hash is super tasty and they have the best sweet tea!

It's spacious and clean. I also learned they have a separate event space, which is something worth keeping in mind. Customer service was outstanding. I really commend the quality of service that was provided throughout our entire dining experience. I was really impressed. They bring a very cute butterfly fruit plate for kids, which I thought was really beautiful and very on target. We tried the Japanese fried chicken appetizer with the sauce on the side. They came in chicken nugget form, and they were really good with a very subtle flavor and fairly crispy. The wedge salad was also tasty along with the garlic bread. We enjoyed the brussels sprouts as well. I ordered the flank steak with mashed potatoes and the corn. The dish was so delicious. Their fries were also really good. The food and the entire dining experience were very pleasing. I love the flavor, and everything tasted fresh. When we return we will try one of the boards.

The cocktails are AMAZING -- seriously some of the most unique and delicious drinks in the area. They're creative, flavorful, and beautifully made. Nikki, the bartender, is an absolute gem. She is so kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful when I'm feeling indecisive. I can tell her what flavors I'm in the mood for, and she'll make something off-menu that ends up being perfect every time. The fact that she remembers me and my boyfriend even though we've only been 3 or 4 times says so much about the level of care and attention she gives her guests. The food is pretty good overall, but for us it doesn't quite match the price point. That said, we happily sit at the bar because the drinks and service make it completely worth it. If you're going, grab a seat at the bar and let Nikki take care of you -- you won't regret it!

Jazz is playing and the servers and wait staff are super nice. Once our reservations were confirmed, we were sat shortly after. We sat and our waitress Avah, or Ava was great. The pimento cheese and shrimp for appetizers. 12oz NY Strip with French fries and cream fried corn with a 16oz hand cut ribeye with mashed potatoes and string beans. We added on 3 scallops and were happy that we did. Everything was delicious, well seasoned, steaks both medium rare and the drinks were made well. Well walked in and see plenty of two tops open and the hostess made me a reservation anyway. Yes and then asked me to please wait for five minutes and then she would seat me. Sure enough after five minutes almost to the dot she took me to one of the many empty tables. Several were two tops. No by the time I left many were full but still trying to force the reservation issue on a rainy, humid yucky Wednesday night is a bit much. The waitress was very nice and very professional as you would expect in a relatively upscale restaurant. She took my drink order and my she crab soup. The ole fashioned was ok. Not great and if you look at the pix it is a bit short. The she crab soup was thinner than most and had an excessive amount of shell in it. Some rather large pieces. Some shell is to be expected but this was a bit much. The bread for dipping was delicious and the soup had plenty of crab in it to go with the shells. Then came time to order main course. I have had salmon, reddish and tuna this week so opted for the scallops. I asked to swap both sides for a side salad and was told no. They don't do that. Hmmm. Usually for a small up charge yes. I have never been just told flat out no till this evening. She advised her manager said no when she went and asked so I had to choose two sides so went with the green beans and the Cajun coleslaw. The scallops were a bit small but ok. The green beans were delicious. Best part of the whole meal. The Cajun slaw was nice and creamy by a bit too spicy so it was left. The place is an old house that has been converted into a nice restaurant. It is nicely decorated and has upscale feel but it is lacking. Had high hopes but trying too hard to be something in an area with lots of restaurant choices. No is what I will say when asked if I will return next trip.
