After less than 6 miles, the check engine light came on and the front of the car shook violently. I called the dealer and was told since I live 100 miles away, to take the car to a local repair shop and get the car fixed. The repair shop replace the oil pressure and power steering pressure sensors to clear the engine light. They also replace the left front brake caliper. I sent a copy of the bill along with a letter to the dealer, believing they would pickup the tab, or at minimum go 50/50. After a month, I called the dealer only to find out that I was stuck with the repair bill, since they had only made $1200 dollars on the deal, ($500 went to a lot fund and the salesman was paid commission on the remaining $700). They wouldn't even stand behind the warranty statement on the final sales document about taking care of the warranty on the oil pressure sensor, a problem that they supposedly repaired at time of buying the car. My wife an I are retired living on a small fixed income and $286 is a lot of money to us.

Now in November, just 4 months later, I'm having transmission problems and the part needed is not covered by the warranty insurance they sold me. I've talked with my salesman Cody, and I've also talked with Pete and Zach Delaney, and they promised to check on our extended warranty and call me back, but they NEVER do. And now I keep leaving messages and no one is returning my calls. When I finally got in touch with Zach, he told us there was nothing he could do. So I would advise anyone looking for a used car to NOT buy from Don Wood since their cars are obviously pieces of junk and they don't have any kind of customer service at all. From the beginning, I clearly explained exactly what I wanted in a vehicle, and the salesperson even wrote down the specific feature that was most important to me. I was repeatedly assured that the vehicle included that feature, only to later discover that it does not. Since then, I have felt ignored and dismissed. The general manager told me he was considering either refunding my money or finding a solution to address the issue, which gave me hope that the situation would be resolved fairly. However, after leading me to believe progress was being made for two weeks, I have now gone another two weeks without any communication at all. I am left with a brand-new $35,000 vehicle that I regret purchasing and rarely drive because I am so unhappy with it. More than anything, I feel misled and taken advantage of throughout this process. As an older woman shopping alone, I cannot help but feel that I was not treated honestly or respectfully. I was taken advantage of.
