Brandon and his team did a great job installing two outlets in my bathrooms. What set them apart from other quotes I got were the questions I was asked about how the outlets were going to be used. If it were not for these questions, I could've ended up having someone tie into an outlet that did not have the proper breaker on it. The smart toilet draws quite a bit of amps and it needed to be on a different line to the panel than others were going to wire it up. We were having electrical issues in the home, intermittently losing power and had to replace the main breaker twice within a year. I had a few electricians come take a look, provide their opinion and bid to fix. They all had the same: the circuit breaker panel needed to be replaced. An unexpected ouch to the wallet! In the end, I chose Desert General Electric. For one, Desert General Electric is a verified business on Yelp and backed by the Yelp $2,500 guarantee. I received a quick response to my Yelp project query and booked the appointment to inspect the project. I found Desert General Electric to be friendly, knowledgeable and organized when we met. We discussed the job, the timeline and an estimate was emailed to me shortly after meeting. The bid included the stucco repair and paint that would be needed from knocking out the current panel and enlarging the space for the new panel. That was awesome because the other bids did not include stucco repair and paint so I would have had to seek additional bids plus coordinate the additional repairs for the job prior to final inspection. I don't have time for that. Desert General Electric was already ahead of the game which was a huge plus - no extra work for me - they were taking responsibility for the whole job, start to finish. Upon signing the bid, the permit process began immediately and I was updated on the permitting process. Here's where above and beyond come into play. Our house lost power again during the permitting process while I was out of town, yet my spouse and dog were at home. The summer heat was relentless. I sent a message with a heads up that we lost power and asked if we were close to starting the project. Understanding the predicament, Desert General Electric went to my house to check out the issue. During day one of the project, a potential issue with the landscape valves that could result in not passing final inspection was pointed out to me. I contacted Brandon for installing a EV charger in our garage and moving a receptacle for a chandelier in our dining room. He was pretty busy so it took a while but he came and scoped it out and then sent his two guys to do the job in one day. He had to increase the initial estimate because access to the electric box was not as simple as he originally thought. But we were happy with the results. I did have to replaster the holes that were cut for the job myself.
