Came in this evening for a meal after work to take out, cashier was very pleasant. The guy filling the food area was extremely rude, didn't speak and I was the only customer. Then the guy cooking my meal, also extremely rude also didn't speak and barely cooked my meal, wish I hadn't tipped. The food here has such a potential of being really good but the persons on the stone are so inconsistent on cooking it. I follow the rules exactly the way recommended and the either burn some of it or dry it out so much it's not pleasant to eat. I make sure I put plenty of sauce in the 1 bowl like asked and very little meat and they still dry it out and burn parts of it. They also offer a nice incentive program to earn points and coupons you can utilize from a convenient app. You get a free meal on your birthday! HuHot is great for families with differing tastes as you choose your ingredients (proteins, veggies, starch, sauce) and they cook it up while you watch. Do be aware if anyone has allergies as ingredients can sometimes sneek over into other containers or a spatula could come in contact with egg or seafood while cooking. They also offer many different and fun soda flavor combinations as well as a limited selection of adult beverages. The atmosphere is a pretty typical open room dining experience. Odd I know but, I do love the way they gently remind EVERYONE (not just employees) to wash their hands(especially if all the public is touching the serving tongs, spoons, and ladels)! I respect their light humor in all their advertising and signage. Do give them a try, your flavor experience is up to you so if you don't like it, just try something different next time. Sooooo I've got mixed feelings with this restaurant, it's very hit and miss. Went the other day, 3.10.23 and ordered the orange chicken appetizer, it showed up with a very long hair in it and sent it back. Then the poor girl cooking on the grill was by herself trying to cook food for at least 7 of us, and by the time she got back to my food it was almost burnt and the sauce literally evaporated so it was dry, and I put tons of sauce on it. So all in all not a great experience and not sure I'll be back anytime Soon. read more

The manager, was by far one of the RUDEST people I've ever met!The very sweet waitress told us that we could either do an "all you can eat" buffet, or a "take-home" option. She said with both options you could stay and eat in the restaurant. The "take-home" was the option was a server yourself once and take home leftovers, whereas the "buffer" was all you could eat but you couldn't take anything home. About three minutes into our meal, the manager came over to us and rudely (he had no customer service voice), told us that "a take-home option means take-out, and you can't eat here". After repeating this same statement a few times, my mom was finally able to tell him what we were told. In an incredibly harsh voice, the manager explained that the waitress was wrong, and he's making a "one time exception" since she messed up. Repeating again, "for next time, take-home means take out". After our conversation, the manager kept eyeing me from the host stand. After our five minute stare down, the manager printed out our receipt, had the host run it to us and walk away with no comment. The manager continued to stare me down until we left. The only reason this restaurant is getting two stars is because the food was good, and they had an excellent option for vegetarians to limit cross contamination. Very dirty not like Mongolian BBQ, the servers were all nice but it didn't look clean. The one hot surface was reused and the spatulas were scraped on the edge. The sauces looked murky and muddled. I never go out and thought "how about something new" not a good idea,and now I am sick. It did have bacon so that's another plus. read more

It was the worst Mongolian I ever had. These cooks unfortunately were never trained on how to cook cook on the grill. Food was left unattended to burn, I made three trips to the grill every one of them was burnt. Waitress said just put it to the side and go up again. I'll never return again. What a shame. read more

I really love this place. I've been to the Spokane location and the Coeur d'Alene location. They have so much variety and all you can eat. They have clearly marked gluten free options and sauces. However, I would not recommend this for someone with Celiac because it is a buffet style and there can be cross contamination. Like the wheat noodles and rice noodles are next to each other and some may get dropped into the other. For anyone with food sensitivities, just tell your server and they bring you a special bowl that signals the cook to thoroughly clean the grill first! Love that! They also will bring a bowl of rice to your table if you want that too! We have not been impressed with the servers at either location, but the cooks were friendly! I'm still giving it 5 stars because mostly you are serving yourself anyway! I recommend you try it! read more
