I loved my experience with HuHot. The staff was GREAT. It had great variety and making my own sauce was a very fun experience. I feel that HuHot is more for the experience than the food though. The asian salad was fantastic and a member of the party I was with loved the crab rangoons and the cheesecake rangoons, but the main event tasted mostly like higher quality frozen dinners that you can customize. Very very allergy friendly. I have shellfish problems and my niece has nut problems. They have a list of all the sauces. You can look at this list to see what they contain if there's nuts or shellfish. They have special bowls for allergy people. The cooks keep an eye out for people with those bowls. They scrub the area on the grill and have a metal V shaped screen that they cook your food in. This is so that the sauces will not get into your food from other people's food. The food was okay, not worth the amount of money we had to pay. The service absolutely horrible, The server came and talked to us once, we got our drinks, and they were never refilled, we never received our soup or rice, and the dirty plates just piled up. We also then waited 28 min to get the check, only to go stand at the front of the establishment to have someone completely different help us out. They were not friendly and gave excuses they were understaffed. It was the middle of the week with not many patrons, and as a former server, It shouldn't be difficult to refill drinks and only bring out soup. This is a great idea for a restraunt, but very poorly managed. Went there twice in the last month. First time was just after the lunch rush and there were many empty food containers and the place was a mess. We just assumed we had just come after a pre holiday lunch rush. It seemed strange as the place needed so much attention in filling the food selections and cleaning up, but there were 3 employees sitting in a booth at the back of the restraunt. Today we returned and it was a repeat. No food and the sauce bar was a complete mess. You could not touch any of the ladels as they were slimed with sauces. I got my food and took it to the cook then went to the restroom to wash the sauce off my hands only to find no paper towels to dry my hands. Could do a lot better. Probably wont go back read more

Cons: wildly overpriced and limited dining options (I never need more than one go through the line and would like not to have to pay for the overhead for customers who go through three or four times). The only reason this place deserves no stars is that they do not care for their reputation and their customers. I left my expensive sun-glasses there, came back within 5 minutes to look for them. The server had taken the cheque instantly, and other girl had cleared the table, but they had no clue where the sunglasses went. The server remembered the exact tip amount, and was rude about the whole incident, not even acknowledging us talking to the manager. Of course she was annoyed at why the cooks got tipped and not her(To make it clear, this is a self serve place and she did nothing to serve us other than bringing water). So I and my husband are pretty sure that she took the sunglasses. The manager went looking for the sunglasses after we pressured her. Never going again to this dishonest place again. It feels bad when the whole restaurant gets a bad name because of the dishonesty of one employee; but HuHot also didn't do well in handling the situation. * Have reported the incident to the cops. 3:30 pm * The owner called me back on my number (which I left for them in case they found my glasses) saying I am accusing them of stealing, and that I made a scene. I received a message from the owner apologizing for the way that we "perceived" his behavior, and stating that he is working on being less short fused. This apology, while certainly appreciated, does not justify the way we were treated. I truly hope that our experience was the rarity, and that the owner was perhaps just having a really bad day. I just had my first and last meal here. Floors were scattered with food and the buffet area covered with food/sauces. Our beer glasses were sticky covered in beer along with the waitresses hands. Overall unclean, unfriendly and confusing. There wasn't really any instructions on how things worked and no one took the time to explain. Would not recommend!!! read more

This place is kinda cool in the sense that it's brought something to Logan that it never had: Mongolian barbecue. You start by going down the line buffet style filling your bowl full of meat, veggies and starch of your choice. Next you ladle on generously the sauces... (*tip-make sure you add enough sauce or your final product is going to be severely dry) There's a little list on the back of the menu that tells you which sauces are vegan. If you tell them ahead of time as you sit down that you're a vegetarian they will even scrub a section on the grill as well as set dividers. Other places I've been to like this usually just have a second pan set up. This place seems to be a tad messy, but I think it's because of the buffet style set up. Clean up around the sauces should be done a little more often. Overall, it's a pretty nifty place for something different to eat. read more

I visited HuHot today and it was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. We went into HuHot restaurant today at around 2pm and it wasn't busy but the hostess acted like she couldn't seat us. We were a table of six and there were many empty tables that could accommodate us but our hostess said she needed to go talk to the manager. She left us unattended, standing by the door for a few minutes and then proceeded to seat us at a dirty table. The raw meat at the buffet was not properly frozen. Many of the foods at the buffet were either empty or almost empty. They also were very unorganized and had lots of cross contamination. The sauce counter was the same but there was sauce spilt everywhere and none of the employees cleaned it while we were there. The employees were talking about snorting drugs and how much they hate their jobs while we were waiting for our food to be cooked at the grill. Two of the female employees did not have their long hair pulled back while they were working with the food. Another of the female employees had her headphones in and was talking about how much she hated dealing with customers while she was cleaning a nearby table. Two male employees came in and proceeded to change in the dining area in front of customers. I found a short blonde hair in my food but nobody I was eating with has light colored hair. The cook at the grill had short blonde hair and he was not wearing a hair net. He and another cook at the grill were complaining that none of the customers ever tipped and do not tip enough money. I was absolutely disgusted and did not eat anymore of my food. It was an expensive meal but I have never even experienced service that poor at a fast food restaurant. Very impressed that the server asked us about allergies as I have 3 food allergies. They really cleaned the cook surface of the grill, set up dividers to isolate the food from others and even had a separate, clean steel plate to store utensils away from others. Wow. i went to the restaurant for the first time on a school trip, i had to get a tour of how the huhot experience works, but once i figured it out i loved it, although my first round at this particular location i put some potato in my bowl, along with other stuff, when i took a bite the potato was still crunchy, but i figured out a solution to that problem, dont order potatoes, the second bowl i ordered was amazing and cooked all the way through although i only went to huhot once during a school trip i have been wanting to go back for a while read more

We had the worst service I've ever had in my life tonight. We got seated and waited for a server to ask us what drinks we wanted. Waited... and waited... and finally after 15 minutes ( not an exaggeration... my husband was able to go get a plate of food, sit down, and finish it) I went up to the manager and asked if anyone was going to come order our drinks and order some egg rolls. She seemed shocked that no one had taken our order and rushed right over to help us. After a few minutes kenna, who I know, came to help us and she was so sweet. BUT come to find out, the server (Phana) that was supposed to be assigned to our table refused to serve our table because "it wasnt her table." I guess there was a mixup on who was assigned what table. But that is no excuse. This server needs to understand that 1. Hello we are paying customers. And 2. There goes your tip. It shouldn't matter if you didn't know that we were your assigned table. To refuse service...??? I was in complete shock. But the only reason I gave this a 2 star and not a 1 star is because Kenna was amazing at making sure we got helped after that. But I dont think we will ever go back. read more

We first got here and there was no waiter to show us to a table, or to show us what to do. We found our way to the food line to see everything is frozen with ice still on the meat. The grill was not hot enough to fully cook my noodles or broccoli, both were still hard. Also, the chefs did not oil the grill making half of our noodles get stuck to the grill. My mom also got a couple of shrimps by surprise in her noodles, this is not a good place to go if you have allergies because everyone's food is cooked together. Our waiter did not give us place settings, menus, rice, or napkins. She did not serve my mom her soup, and she barely came to our table to check on us. Do not suggest this place!! read more

Cleanest Mongolian I've ever experienced. They have a wide selection of meats and vegetables. First place that actually has mangos and talapia as a choice to mix in with your dish. You can make some interesting dishes there. They also sauces galore. read more

Hu Hut is a great experience, you go through the buffet and fixing your plate and the chefs quickly cook your food maybe 5 to 10 minutes they're not bad at all. The have a great variety of foods to eat, from beef to pork, Crap to tofu and the veggies are plentiful. read more

Best all you can eat in Logan Utah this is a Mongolian BBQ with many different sauces many different meat selections and many different vegetables you put it together they cook it on their Mongolian stone BBQ and give it back to you you can go as many times as you would like so you get to try different food it does average around $20 a plate in the evening and I can't remember what their lunch time special costos as for me they have your standard beef pork chicken and then they go on to have spicy sausage all the way up to calamari which is some of the best calamari I have ever tasted on their sauce bars they will let you know whether it is a mild spicy or hot by their claims that they have on each of their signs. The only improvement that I see that they could use is where it's an all you can eat they need to have a pop dispenser for public use read more

Huhot is great as a restaurant in general but I am especially impressed with the Logan location. The employees have always been so kind and accommodating. On our anniversary we got a flat tire and ended up not arriving until 5 minutes before close and when we came in they didn't bat an eye. We apologized over and over but they assured us they had no problem with it. On my birthday I had just joined the HuHot club to get a free birthday meal - we realized online we had to sign up a week before to get the free birthday meal. We called ahead to see if it would be an issue and the manager told us not to worry and that my birthday dinner would be free regardless of me signing up that same day. I've never had a rude waitress, the guys who work the grill are very friendly and chatty. Overall a great place. read more

I had driven past HuHot on the way up to school many times and I finally went in and tried it. It was a Tuesday night and packed so it passed the parking lot test.
