This is a popular cafe selling many mango related versions of drinks and desserts. However I wanted something a little less heavy and opted for a watermelon in aloe with aloe jelly. Unfortunately I was told they were out of fresh watermelon which was disappointing to say the least. I decided to share an order of mango mochi with a friend and it was very good. The cafe was super crowded even though there was seating outside which is nice on a summer evening. Parking is also an adventure so be patient.
If you're only going to order one thing, make it the mango coconut sago. The mango is soft and custardy and slightly tart with *just* enough coconut to round out the drink. The sago didn't add much flavor but it did make every sip feel slightly different from the last. I'm a huge durian lover so of course we had to try the durian cake. It was also my partner's first time trying durian (so fun to get a front-row seat to his first encounter)! The verdict? As expected, the durian cake was rich and custardy and funky and absolutely delicious. I'm also rly glad they didn't add extra sugar bc durian brings plenty of natural sweetness on its own. Proud to report that he passed the vibe check with flying colors :)

Stopped by Hui Lau Shan for dessert and tried the Mango Delightful. It was pretty refreshing, not overly sweet, and packed with mango flavor. Definitely a nice dessert if you're craving something cold and fruity. The place itself was clean and had a chill atmosphere, good spot to hang out for a bit after eating nearby. Service was friendly and everything came out pretty quick. Overall a solid dessert stop and I'd come back to try more off the menu.
Absolutely obsessed with this dessert spot! I last visited on a Monday evening, and it wasn't super busy. As the night went on, more and more customers filled the store. The store doesn't have the most comfortable ambiance: fluorescent light, hard furniture, and it gets pretty loud. However, the dessert is so worth it. I highly recommend the mango chewy ball dessert. Every single bite is perfection. The mango puree is refreshing and balances out the creamy ice cream. I am obsessed with the texture of the chewy balls, and the mango pieces on the top are so sweet. When I'm not eating this dessert, I'm thinking about this dessert and wishing I was eating it. It's not the cheapest dessert, but the portion is generous. I can't wait for my next visit!

My greedy *ss got the Jumbo Pomelo & Mango with Sago because there was no way I was going to be content with the regular size, and frankly I could've eaten another--it was just. that. good. Love that this Hong Kong-based chain has so many locations worldwide! The strip mall this particular location is in gets super busy--the parking lot is free but good luck finding a space! We were fortunate, however, that the shop itself wasn't crowded at the time of our visit, as that's not always the case. We managed to snag a table, and appreciated the cleanliness of the interior.
Nostalgia for asia hui lau shan locsitins ?? Then this will recreate those memories. Just ignore the pricing. It is what it is and accept it. Tastes great you can't go wrong with anything here. And testament to their freshness of ingredients??? Proof is sitting right outside their side door. A large pallet of boxed mangoes . Yes that's how fresh their desserts are and you can see employees in the back peeling them one by one by one. Get a few different items and grab some spoons and share. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face especially on a warm day.

However I ordered A3 and it looked nothing like the display which was in a tall fancy glass in the display case. Most the desserts will come in their paper bowl so it's not layered in the same way. It's all condensed together. Not as appealing for photos.
This store usually has a long line and I was lucky enough to arrive before more business came. I love when stores have displays of their food so I know exactly what to expect. From the time I ordered to the time I received my food, only a few minutes passed. I ordered the J3, Pomelo and Mango with sago. The fresh mangoes were a perfect balance of sweet and sour. I was a bit hesitant because of the season but I was pleasantly surprised. The coconut milk balanced the mango base and the mango sorbet in the center very well. The sago added a nice texture along with the fresh mangoes. I tried the mango jelly and it was good but not as sweet as I hoped for. Still good nonetheless. I'd like to return to try all of the other delicious mango treats during the summer.
Hui Lan Shan has refreshing fruit based desserts in Cupertino. The place is clean (although a bit crowded) and the service is fast and friendly. We got the A4 Mango with rice balls. The mango was delicious, especially considering it's February. It was very refreshing and not too sweet. I'll definitely go back!
Hui Lau Shan is the epitome of mango dessert, this Hong Kong dessert spot is for mango lovers and such a refreshing place to grab a sweet treat. The freshness of the mangos used here is apparent in their desserts and their stock is visibly seen by the pallet of boxes they have of fresh produce. Deliciously refreshing drinks, blended mango bowls and even mango mochi and crepe filled. I always go with the Mango Chewy Ball, though the Jumbo is great for sharing. The Mango Mochi (fresh mango encased in mochi layer) and pancakes (crepe with fresh whipped cream and choice of mango or durian) are sooo satisfyingly good. If you want something drinkable they offer tea and fruit juices as well. Price is steep, but I think the quality of dessert makes up for it. Service is good, with lines out the door they are able to churn orders out pretty fast. The interior is a bit limited in space, with a few tables indoors and some outdoors. Sometimes it's hard to snag a table, leaving you to stand around waiting for a bit. It is a bit thoughtful though as they provide wet wipes as eating here can be a bit sticky. There's always a line whenever I come here and for good reason!

Been wanted to try this place since it opened. Knowing they have multiple locations but this is closer to my husband workplace. Tried to have him stop by to grab me some dessert but he never did, then I kinda forgot about it. Until I came with my in-laws one time and finally tried their desserts. Durian Pancake: Crepe was made with pandan leaves, because there is a light aroma of it. Filling is mixed with whipped cream and durian, but my opinion is too much cream, cannot really taste durian. A bit disappointing since I'm a huge durian fan. Jumbo Mango Chewy Ball: They served with mango ice cream, but I don't taste the flavor of "mango ice cream", not creamy enough. But it is not sherbet, cannot really taste mango. Mango is not in season so it is a little sour and hard. Mango tofu tastes all right, not the best but it is refreshing. Chewy ball is actually the best of all. Mango & Coconut Juice with Crystal Jelly: The best of all orders, except the mango as the topping (Again, mango is not in season so they are sour). They used fresh coconut milk to add to the drink, so they have a very strong coconut flavor and their crystal jelly is really good. Pomelo & Mango with Sago: Drink overall is good, mango this time is sweet but pomelo is a bit sour. Mango Mochi (no photos): This is not good. Mochi itself is too hard to chew, it's not chewy, it is hard. Taste like mochi has been sitting in the fridge for too long to make it hard. Basically it doesn't taste fresh. Mango was find but not the mochi. Store was clean, order came fast and staffs are friendly. Will I come again? Definitely.

I've been coming here since it opened. I'm always in the mood for mangoes and this spot makes the best sorbet. I usually get the sorbet with coconut and sage. I add the chewy balls too. My brother ordered the ice cream with the bubble waffle. There was nothing left to take home. We also got the mango mochi and it was heavenly. I will probably order them every time I come. My husband got the coconut jello. He wished it was more cold but he ate everything. read more
I came with 4 friends on a weekend afternoon for dessert. I heard great things about Hui Lau Shan and I love mango, so I needed to try! The inside was very clean and welcoming with lots of seating. I got the mango chewy ball and it was delicious. The mango was perfectly sweet, and I loved the scoop of ice cream. I wish there were more mochi balls though. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back for more! read more

Hui lau Shan was always our go to dessert place. Even during the winters, we were amazed at their sweet ripe mangos. However, this time we went the mango flavor was so bland! We got the chewy mango ball dessert and it just tasted like water with a bit of mango. Even the chewy balls were a bit hard.. the mango had chunks of the core with the furry bits so it wasn't pleasant to eat. disappointing and a waste of $10! read more
For some reason, this one taste better than the store we have in San Diego. The mango feels fresher, and the actual sago in their D3 feels fresh also. There are no major ice chunks. It was pretty crowded when I went, but I would say overall service was good and we found a table for seating. This one in particular gives wipes for cleaning the table just in case you need it. On a hot day, this is a great spot to get that mango fix. Make sure you go when it's not too busy or crazy and it'll be worth a visit. read more

If you're looking for sweet and refreshing mango goodness, Hui Lau Shan has got you covered! We came here on a Sunday evening for some dessert after dinner. There was a short line that moved quickly. D3 Pomelo & Mango with Sago ($8.95) - sweet and creamy, packed with a great mixture of textures to make a refreshing dessert-drink A4 Mango Chewy Ball ($8.50) - had mango puree, coconut sauce, super sweet fresh mango chunks, and chewy mochi balls C7 Coconut Jelly with Black Glutinous Rice ($9.00) - the coconut jelly has rich coconut cream flavor and super smooth mouthfeel, paired so nicely with the black glutinous rice Overall, a great place for solid HK style desserts with fast and efficient service, even when there's a line. Indoor and outdoor seating is available but limited. We ended up sitting outside because all the tables were filled inside. This store is located in a plaza and parking can be challenging around peak hours, so be prepared to be patient. read more

Hubs and I were craving something sweet. After a quick Yelp search, saw this place was close by so we decided to make a stop. Quite a few menu items to choose from. Hubs decided to go with the Mango Coconut sago and I ordered the Strawberry Yogurt. Both were refreshing and not too sweet - very enjoyable. The Mango Coconut jelly/pudding also caught my attention and so I had to give it a try. It was topped with fresh mango, rice balls, and crystal boba - must say it is probably one of the better coconut puddings I've had. Also, the price for the coconut pudding is a bit better than other places as well. Would definitely want to return to try other items and/or to order another one of those coconut puddings. read more

Lowkey I like this place better than the Milpitas location (*´v`*) simply because the napkins have their logo and they give you cute Hui Lau Shan mascot spoons. I don't remember if the Milpitas location has those two things but nonetheless I think I'm biased because I was craving something icy that day. The place is pretty clean and each table comes with wet wipes so you can wipe off the sticky wicky leftover mango on your fingy wingies. The line on this random Tuesday at around 8pm was nonexistent so I highly recommend going on a random weekday evening because this plaza gets easily packed due to the other businesses. Even though we went when HLS wasn't that busy the parking lot was still pretty filled when we arrived. This time I got the Mango & Coconut Juice w/ Crystal Jelly. The crystal jelly itself has little to no flavor compared to the mango and coconut but I liked it because it added texture to an otherwise pretty flavorful dessert. The coconut juice is more like a slushy texture which fulfilled my icy cravings. The mangoes of course were perfectly ripe and sweet. Hui Lau Shan does it again. read more

Overall the drink and mochi was delicious but nothing out of this world. I would still get it again and recommend it to mango lovers. Desserts: (4/5) Pomelo and Mango Sago Drink ($8.95) Perfectly sweet, refreshing, and creamy. However, there is not much of a taste, the mango is subtle. Though, I was not expecting the mango to be blended, so drink it quickly before it melts. (4/5) Mango Mochi ($11.25) You get 6 small pieces. There are coconut flakes on the outside of the mochi dough and on the inside there is a fresh mango chuck. Delicious, however, nothing crazy given its price point. Nice store with specialty on Hongkong style fresh mango dessert. I see so many mango boxes the store. I came for their lemon tea as I was thirsty. The store us nicely arranged. The worker is nice and you order at cashier. I ordered ice Lemon tea snd interestingly they don't give you the receipt right away after you paid. They will give you when your order is ready. The ice lemon tea is refreshing, not sour and not too sweet. I like it. Will visit next time to try their signature dessert. As I know there is one that will open in San Mateo downtown. read more

The line was around the corner at 8pm, when is the best time to go? What's the "must have" there?
In my experience, the best time to go is right when they open at 1pm and on weekdays. The Pomelo and Mango w/ Sago and the Mango Crisps are my personal favorites!
