Signature Fresh Milk Tea鼎極鮮奶茶 with Mochi
Michelle T.

I decided to try Shang Yu Lin after seeing the bogo deal they were running on Doordash for certain drinks. We chose the Signature Fresh Milk tea with drinkable mochi as the topping and enjoyed the depth in its flavor. 10% sugar might sound intimidating, but was just the right amount. They added a generous amount of mochi so it turned out to be very thick and viscous, making it difficult to sip the drink and get proportionate amounts of tea and mochi at the same time. Besides that one issue, I did enjoy the drink with mochi overall and would give this drink a 4/5. Service was quick and our order of 4 drinks was ready within about 10 minutes of ordering. There is limited seating inside, and most people tend to bring their drinks to go. I would come back to try the rest of their menu and toppings.

Came across this store on google maps and realized they sell basque cheese cake so I had to try! This is related to the cheese cake (original flavor). The cheesecake itself is pretty mediocre (has a fridge smell to it too so I'm not sure how long ago the cheesecake itself was made). On weekends the cheesecakes are half off so definitely a deal! They have other cakes to try- may try them next time. Store is super cute, casual, and friendly staff! Service is great!

Been wanting to try since they opened up. Popped by to grab some drinks. Too bad their non caffeinated drink options are so limited. The girls ended up going next door to tea era. I ordered via the kiosk. The hot drinks take longer to prep, they said 10 minutes but ended up being over 20 minutes. Peach oolong milk tea: 2/5 I had a taste of it and didn't like the peach flavor. We added panna cotta but it had an odd harder texture than we are used to. Yung yang jelly fresh milk tea: 4/5 much better than the peach. I liked the jelly.

Strawberry Fresh Milk + Lychee Coconut Jelly

Shang Yu Lin is a famous Taiwan chain of boba stores and I'm excited that they have a location in the US! The Queen of Guava Smoothie was very refreshing and had an icy consistency. Not many stores have guava drinks, so I'm glad they do. It has green tea, soft mochi swirls, and lychee jelly. The Red Bean Mochi Fresh Milk was a fun one to try. Soft mochi was also swirled in the creamy drink. Real chunks of red bean sat at the bottom. I felt like I was both drinking and eating a dessert! The Strawberry Fresh Milk had real bits of strawberry and it wasn't too sweet. The strawberry taste really comes forward. I liked that it was made with organic milk as well. I added Lychee Coconut Jelly, which was sweet and juicy, bursting with fruitiness. Overall very flavorful drinks in huge cups. Beautifully decorated store interior with an elegant feel. Fast and friendly service. Their glass display case has little cakes and desserts that I want to try next time!

Peanut Butter Bliss Drink (No Caffeine)

This boba shop is located in a plaza with lots of good asian food restaurants so I stopped by while on the waitlist for Siam Station. I ordered the peanut butter milk tea drink because I love peanut butter and it's a pretty unique drink I haven't seen elsewhere. I was also specifically looking for no caffeine options, and this one said it was caffeine free. The drink was surprisingly really good and creamy - not overly sweet. Would come again for this drink! There is some seating inside and you order at kiosk. There was no wait/line when I went.

A taiwanaese boba chain located next to siam station We got their roasted guanyin milk tea with mochi it tasted really good Sitting is a bit limited, but still has plenty of room Ordering is done through the kiosk and easy to sign up for rewards as well Overall, I had great flavoring, good vibes, and the Boba comes out really fast Great place to also wait if you're trying to eat the Thai food next door Parking is easy as well

My favorite Shang Yu Lin drink on right side: Black tea with Feng Jiao (white chewy things!)

One of our family's favorite boba places in Cupertino. They have a special Feng Jiao topping and it's my favorite.

I have passed by this intersection so many times and never noticed what stores were in the shopping center at the SE corner by the McDonalds. It's because they signs don't stand out and it's hard to see them from the street. I can see the sign for TeaEra while driving along Homestead, but this bubble tea shop Shang Yu Lin is not visible from either side, neither Homestead nor Stelling. I'm glad I ventured into the parking lot to get a closer look at what this corner had to offer. Saw Shang Yu Lin and decided to give them a try. They have 2 order kiosks on the right side as you walk in. I love it when these places have more than one kiosk, so there is no bottleneck when several people are waiting to order. The interface was easy to use. And it didn't take long for our drinks to be ready. We ordered a Black Tea Cloud Foam and a Roasted Guanyin Cloud Foam. It's a good thing the slapped stickers onto each cup so we could distinguish them, because they look virtually the same. But when you sip them side by side, you can easily tell which one is the Guanyin (Tieguanyin Oolong). The tea flavor definitely comes through. I was surprised that they sealed the lids on these "foam" drinks. Many other places give you a different "sipping" lid that can be easily popped on/off. It's hard to get the foam when using a straw on these sealed type lids. I usually just peel off the lid before drinking. But they certainly do make it easier to transport in your car, if you're going to take it home before drinking it. I appreciate beverage shops having a restroom for customers. Didn't have a need to use it during my visit, but I do like having that option available. Parking is really easy here, however, the paving in the parking lot makes it feel a bit "dumpy".

Service was easy and quick. The place was clean. I ordered lychee tea and jelly which was good. The popcorn chicken didn't take long and it tastes good. Not too salty and fried crispy not greasy. Prices are typical. I think they have weekday specials too bad I'm not in the area to take advantage of. Solid place.

Roasted Guanyin Fresh Milk Tea鐵觀音鮮奶茶, Signature Black Milk Tea鼎級奶茶, Strawberry Milk Matcha Cloud Foam 草莓牛乳抹茶

Came here with my brother, and his gf. We were craving for boba. We never tried this place so we're excited to see how it tastes. Brother's GF ordered Strawberry Milk Matcha Cloud foam. Brother ordered Signature Black Milk Tea. I ordered Roasted Guanyin Fresh Milk tea with grass jelly. We each tried each other's drinks and it was really good! I love the taste of the fresh strawberries with the Matcha. My brother's was good as well being at 100% sugar, it wasn't too bad. It wasn't very sweet, which is perfect for me. Mine is 75% sugar and it was also perfect as well. Lots of tea flavor in each of the drinks. It was self-service ordering on the kiosk, I think there was only one person working, who was making the drinks. Luckily, it wasn't busy, and it was just us on another party. Super spacious with lots of seating. There's like Bar seating on the left side. Definitely recommend to try this place!

Jasmine Green Tea ($4.85) & Peach Oolong Cloud Foam ($5.95)
Rachel L.

Very very mediocre watered down teas slightly enhanced by toppings and sugar. I had the peach oolong cloud foam which was pretty flavorless with barely any hint of peach. The tea flavor was pretty weak and the drink felt watered down. The cloud foam was just okay... kinda just tasted like frothed milk. Drinks come out super fast after ordering on kiosk. On a Monday around 6:30 it was pretty busy. There's very minimal seating inside.

Stumblef on this spot after dinner nearby. The milk tea was pretty good. The teA had a nice strong herbal flavor AND not too sweet. They've got the balance just right. We tried the peanut butter milk tea too, and it was definitely different. Pretty thick because of the mochi, and the PB flavor was strong. It was good and kind of fun to try, but not sure I'd get it again. More of a "once is enough" kind of thing for me. I'd definitely come back to try other drinks.

Green beans and oyster mushroom

We frequent this plaza for lunch and dinner often, so it was nice to find that Shang Yu Lin was here! Upon arrival we saw that there were some workers behind the counter but opted to use one of their ordering kiosks so we can look through the menu since it was our first time. They had a nice variety of drinks and snacks. Their teas are super fragrant and not too milky or dull. Get at least 50% sweetness on your drinks, it's perfect! We also got their popcorn chicken, the green beans/oyster mushrooms and a cheesecake. Both savory snacks came with lots of basil which I absolutely loved. The popcorn chicken reminded me of the OG/classic popcorn chicken, which was so delicious and nostalgic. The green beans/mushrooms were surprisingly crispy and tasty, which I think have become a favorite of mine. The cheesecake was just OK; not as creamy and smooth, but more chunky? Idk, I think I'd skip this next time, or try a different sweet treat. There is plenty of seating, and decorated very nicely as well. It also wasn't too busy on a Saturday evening, as I think everyone was busy at dinner. Overall, if you're craving a solid, fragrant milk tea and some fresh, herbaceous popcorn chicken, go here!

The closest place that I have had Indonesian coffee is Kopiku in SF (but that is so far!) I ended up ordering a Klepon which is an espresso based latte with coconut milk, Pandan syrup made with palm sugar, coconut flakes! This had such distinctive flavoring that played homage to south East Asian flavors and was so comforting, especially when it was served hot. I love how balanced the pandan and palm sugar was. It wasn't too sweet at all! I am eager to try more flavors here. Service was fast and quick and only took max 10 minutes to get my drink even with a line. I heard they are opening a store front - you definitely have a unique selling point in the South Bay! Rooting for your success!

We read reviews ahead of time and saw it was recommended to order online and come and pick up andi felt like this was a MUST DO, if you didn't want to be waiting all morning. I came to pick up my drinks about 25 min after opening and their running count for drinks made that day was already nearing 100. We tried the strawberry avocado smoothie and the mango avocado smoothie and both were great! I would recommend getting the mango if you had to choose between the two. We got 30% sugar (recommended) and I would say that was perfect! We added the oat pearls, and they were good. Different than the typical boba. I may prefer the other kind of boba, but my husband liked the oat boba better. I would love if they had both options to choose between and would love a few more non caffeinated options. Those are my two recommendations for change. We will be back!

It's quite different from a typical boba shop, focusing more on fruit-based and creative specialty drinks, with several unique combinations that you don't see very often. This visit, I ordered the Avocado Snow Ice drink, the signature milk tea, and a durian drink. The avocado drink was probably the biggest surprise of the day. It tasted like real avocado rather than artificial flavoring, with a rich and creamy texture. The grains and seeds at the bottom added an interesting layer of texture, making it feel more like a dessert than a drink. The signature milk tea had a noticeable tea flavor and wasn't overly sweet, making it easy to enjoy. As for the durian drink, it delivered exactly what durian lovers would hope for--strong aroma, rich flavor, and a texture similar to a durian milkshake. The packaging also deserves a mention. The designs are distinctive and eye-catching, giving the brand a unique identity and making the drinks great for photos as well. Prices are a bit higher than your average boba shop, but the quality of ingredients and creativity behind the menu make it feel justified. After trying boba and tea shops for years, it's refreshing to find a place that offers something genuinely different. Not every drink will be everyone's favorite, but the menu is memorable enough to make you want to come back and explore more. Overall, a solid first visit, and I'll definitely be back to try some of their other specialties.

It feels more like a factory of workers churning out cups of coffee without the personal touch that Philz was known for. Sadly, it's been hit or miss the times I've gone here recently. The other day, my coffee tasted burnt and not at all the way it was supposed to with the subtle flavors of the brew. Part of paying a premium is getting the quality that is difficult to replicate at home. I also miss the humble energy when Philz first started out and each staff member truly cared about your experience and the cup of coffee. For the price point, it's a shame that's no longer the case. Most staff here are hardworking and friendly, but some could use work on their skills. As someone who worked in the service industry, I 100% believe you should be acknowledged/rewarded for the work you do -- it's tough! But the automatic expectation of getting a tip and side eye you get if you don't is beyond ridiculous. And it's not just specific to Philz. Still a great cup of coffee. Just really expensive now. And you still have to wait (of course) so the appeal for a good cup of Joe is gone.

The plaza is super popular with the restaurants, supermarket, and dessert places. Menus are on digital signage on televisions above the pickup area and on the shop's electric posterboard signage. The shop's aesthetic all runs on the same theme which made everything look very consistent. Service was all dedicated to making and readying drinks. Dan Cong Milk Tea has rich oolong flavor. There's some floral notes, but it isn't overwhelming at all. I liked this one out of all the drinks I tried. Sweet-Scented Milk Tea has rice pieces in the drink itself. If I had to compare, the texture was similar to soybean skins. It is a sweet and floral oolong milk tea drink. White Champaca Milk Tea is a super floral oolong tea out of all the drinks ordered. I know people have tried to compare this drink to other milk tea stores, but I feel that MoonTea is still a little different. Ceylon Milk Tea tasted like the usual ceylon milk tea. It might be because it's quieter to make tea than desserts, so it's a good place for us to chat. The menu seems quite complicated as the Chinese naming are too elegant to understand what exactly is in each item. Lol. I tried the Da Hong Pao Milk Tea. You can select ice level to 0 and sugar level to 0, but for me, I still wouldn't call the tea flavor strong enough. Maybe because I'm used to the HK style milk tea where the tea was extra strong. I ordered just a plain milk tea with whole milk, there's a layer of foam on the top and I almost thought they gave me cheese top by accident. Service was really quick and polite.
