My brother LOVES this place, but I'm not a fan of coconut so take this review with a grain of salt. I thought the pudding was very silky and smooth, but the coconut flavor was just so strong, I didn't like it. But if you like coconut, this place will be heaven for you like it is for my brother. I got the mango river the most recent time I went with him because it's their only thing without coconut pudding. I think their mango wasn't fresh at that time because the color was so murky :/ but the taste was alright. It was really sweet though, and I wish it was less sweet. Interior was very spacious, lots of seating, and clean!

I've been to the SoCal (Sawtelle, and San Gabriel) locations. This one is the biggest and poshest I've been to. You have a wall of (faux) jelly jars of all different flavors once you enter. This place feels very revamped. A "red carpet" greets you upon your approach to the counter. And though there is staff who I suppose could take your order, there is one kiosk tablet to place your order. Lots of seating inside (9 tables). We came on a Sunday afternoon and though the wall display says "SO MANY FLAVORS TO CHOOSE FROM", the inventory behind the glass says "meh not so much". I guess most of the different flavors had sold out already by 3 pm, like some of my favorite seasonals (dragon fruit, ube). However, I was able to get the osmanthus oolong which I love. The taro coconut was light and refreshing so I enjoyed that as well! Today I decided to venture and buy the durian but I have not YET tried it. It wasn't too busy so after placing the order, they had our order in less than 5 minutes. My puppers got to accompany me into the store too. I wish melo melo would open up stores out in the central valley and Sacramento area too.

Walked by many times and decided to try it when it's not too busy. This place has many flavors of the coconut dessert. Service is fast or order at the counter. There can be a long line to wait to order if it's busy. Interior is bright and big with many tables/chairs for people to hangout. All the flavors are clearly labelled and their dessert is not too sweet. We tried the Sunset Mango Coconut, Black Sesame Walnut Coconut and the Pistachio Rose. The Sunset Mango one tastes the best. The Black Sesame Walnut one is good too but a little runny. The Pistachio Rose is so-so. It looks pretty though. Overall when comparing this with Tong Sui: - OPTIONS: MeloMelo offers more options and different interesting flavors than Tong Sui. - TEXTURE: MeloMelo's texture is more soft and runny. For some jars, it's like drinking dessert "soup". For Tongsui, there is more texture, less watery, and more "chew". You feel like you're eating dessert. - PRICING: MeloMelo is slightly more expensive. Some flavors are as much as $13.99 for a small jar (like the ones we ordered), not sure if it's worth it. The cheaper flavors are still $10.99.

My first time trying Melo Melo, and it was pretty darn good. I think I like it better than Tong Sui, although they're pretty much the same thing. I might be biased because I love how cute their jars and bags are haha. Also, they seem to have more fruit flavors than Tong Sui, so I would definitely come back to try the other flavors. I wanted to try the dragonfruit one but it was sold out. It's definitely a splurge since it's pretty expensive.

This place is a spot to get different flavored Coconut pudding based desserts. They have a wide selection of fruits and flavors. My wife got Mango and I got Triple Coffee flavor. The taste was very good but I'm not a huge fan of pudding, (just not really into the texture). The whole time we were there, there was a line so obviously this business is popular.

A coconut jelly dessert served in a variety of tropical flavors in cut glass jars. We walked inside to see what all the hype was about but did not order as we had ordered dessert from Beard Papa. Inside and dining area was very clean and may try their dessert the next time I see their store front sign.

Coconut durian pudding was delicious! Can't eat in store so you must buy and bring it out or home to try. Or in your car! Whatever you like. I like that you can keep the glass container jar and use it for other food or even household uses! Adorable inside with the pudding wall for pics Plenty of tables for groups to enjoy together

This was my first time ever going to this particular coconut dessert shop, and I've been wanting to try it out for so long, but their parking lot is honestly horribly packed but if you go around 9 PM on a Thursday night, no one is insight except for at this establishment! Lol I was actually surprised, there were only two tables available for my girlfriends and I to sit at! Since we were able to get one of the last tables, I will also note that I have a sensitivity to Lite and the fact this whole shop had LED lights with neon white background. It was very triggering for my eyes. So sadly, I actually looked down the whole time. My girlfriend and I were in here due to my sensitivity of light. Apparently on a Thursday night, everything in Cupertino shuts down early! Nevertheless, we were able to each get a dessert and I was only planning on eating half of mine, but it was honestly so good. I accidentally finished the whole thing!! I will definitely be going back to try the other flavors but be aware some of them do contain cow milk. I'm lactose intolerant and I was able to get this vegan mango dessert and it was so delicious. I literally ate the whole thing!! It had a great fresh flavor and the coconut inside as well as the little pearls were very crunchy and Boba like textured.

I came into MeloMelo with some friends on a weekend, and I loved the aesthetics of the dessert place! Plastic clear chairs, mirrored and white walls made for a spacious environment. Their classic coconut desserts are already made and placed in glass jars, which made ordering easy as we were able to see the finished dessert. I tried their combined Oreo and Matcha coconut dessert. The dessert itself felt very light and creamy, and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The heavier and richer chocolate flavor of the Oreo portion balanced out the earthy match taste. Love the texture of dessert, and it's not too filling after any large lunch or dinner!

My friend and I stopped by MeloMelo for a sweet treat after dinner. Their coconut jellies come pre-made in jars, which are displayed in a case near the register. They have a variety of different flavors to choose from, including a couple of vegan ones. As someone who loves both matcha and cookies and cream, I enjoyed their Matcha Oreo flavor. Their coconut jellies are silky, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The interior of this place is clean and aesthetic, and there are a handful of tables you can sit and enjoy your order at. I will say that their coconut jellies are a bit on the pricier side (~$14 for mine), so this is a dessert that I would only get every once in a while.

Famous coconut dessert store. It is large for dessert store. It is nicely decorated and has plenty of seating. The size is more than double the similar store that sell similar dessert. Looks like everything is pre-made. They are plenty of variations of the coconut dessert, you can order just coconut one or mix with other stuff like fruits. You order from the worker directly and order is ready almost instantly. The dessert is fresh and yummy. It is quite pricey. If I am not mistaken, You can return the container and for certain amount of container you return you can can one dessert free. Cash is not accepted.

After barbecue, we noticed Melo Melo across the plaza, a spot we hadn't seen before, and it immediately caught our attention. The space is beautifully decorated, especially the wall of colorful jars, which gives it a really fun, modern vibe. Even though it was pretty quiet when we went, my friend and I were excited to try it because everything looked so good. She ordered a coffee-based drink (I believe it was an espresso or latte), and I had the mango coconut with rice. Both were delicious. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, not overpowering at all, and the texture was amazing, almost like yogurt. The flavors were spot-on and really refreshing. One thing we loved was the glass jar the dessert came in. Instead of tossing it, we realized it's perfect for reusing or recycling, great for things like overnight oats or storage at home. It's such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend it. I really hope they open a location in San Jose someday. Parking can get crowded on weekends, but since it was a holiday, it was surprisingly easy and quiet. Pricing is reasonable, maybe not an everyday treat, but absolutely worth it for the quality and taste. We can't wait to come back and try more flavors. Great concept.

Coffee jelly of the triple latte
    Ryan F.

Always room for melo melo! I had the triple latte and it was very good. Not too sweet - and the coffee jelly was tasty. The counter staff were friendly and were able to help us with all of our questions. The ambiance was great - they have a very neat and clean theme, and their dessert displays were great. They were also decorated nicely for the holidays. The tables were clean and had WiFi access codes right at the table. If I ever want melo melo again, I wouldn't mind coming back here.

The shop has a bright, clean interior with a casual atmosphere that makes it an easy place to stop for a refreshing dessert. Seeing stacks of fresh mangoes behind the counter immediately gave me confidence that the fruit would be one of the highlights of the experience. The mango desserts were easily the best part of my visit. I tried the Pomelo & Mango with Sago, which combined sweet mango, creamy coconut milk, chewy sago, and fresh pomelo for a refreshing balance of flavors and textures. I also enjoyed the Mango Chewy Ball, where the fresh mango and smooth mango juice paired perfectly with the soft, chewy rice balls. Both desserts felt light while still being satisfying, making them a great option on a warm day. I also had the chance to try a few of the other menu items. The mango mochi was fresh and soft, with ripe mango wrapped inside a delicate chewy layer. For something different, the spicy chili fish balls offered a savory contrast to the fruit desserts, adding a bit of heat and a springy texture that balanced out all of the sweetness. The ordering process was quick and straightforward, and my food arrived not long after I found a table. The dining area was clean and comfortable, and small touches like providing wet wipes made the experience feel a little more thoughtful. It is the kind of place where you can stop in for a quick dessert or stay a little longer while sharing a few different items with friends. Overall, Hui Lau Shan is a great spot for anyone looking for fresh, fruit-forward desserts with authentic Hong Kong flavors. The quality of the mangoes, the variety of textures, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a place I would happily return to whenever I was craving something refreshing.

They give you the option to put double matcha (for the honey matcha latte) which is a plus! The double shot of matcha and the honey pairs really well together. The strawberry matcha latte has strawberry puree and strawberry bits which makes it taste really sweet. It's a really good contrast of flavors and an overall solid strawberry matcha latte. The drinks are a lot quicker so you don't have to wait too long. There's also no seats inside but there's plenty of waiting space on the outside patio! My first experience was pretty mid because the ceremonial matcha latte was VERY strong and bitter. I couldn't finish it and it made me super jittery. After coming back a few more times though, I found a couple things I really liked. The Crème Brûlée Matcha was delicious. I finished the entire drink. You can't change the sweetness level, which is unfortunate, but their recommended sweetness actually balanced the stronger matcha really well. The ice cream is probably the best thing here. Super creamy, perfectly sweet and really well blended. I would honestly come back just for the ice cream. The strawberry matcha latte was pretty unmemorable to me, and the hojicha was also extremely bitter. Service was good. The barista was kind and helpful, which I appreciated. You order through a kiosk, so there isn't a ton of interaction overall. When I first came around their opening, there was basically no line. After they started getting more hype, the lines became longer and longer. I think it's worth trying, but personally I wouldn't wait in a huge line for it. Overall, the matcha itself tastes authentic and is prepared well, but some drinks are just too bitter for my preference. My recommendations: the ice cream or Crème Brûlée Matcha. Those were easily the standouts for me.

So when it was time for my wedding, I knew I had to get my cake from them! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They offer cake tasting boxes that include their most popular flavors. However, we had a specific taste profile in mind and asked if they could custom make the samples for us - they said yes without hesitation and didn't charge us extra! The samples were delicious and the pickup process was easy. We went with a ribbon cake (chocolate and vanilla) with fresh strawberries, whipped cream filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. It was a 3-layer vanilla cake filled with lemon mousse, covered in buttercream and white chocolate bark pieces, and topped with 10 blueberries. This flavor can be found on their website catalog. I don't know if this is typical for this bakery, but the cake was heavy, claggy on the bottom, and way too sweet. The lemon mousse tasted incredibly strange, as if it were artificial or maybe had some kind of herb or weird flavoring added. The less said about the cream, the better.
