Sunset Mango Coconut and Black Sesame Walnut Coconut
    Da Kat A.

Walked by many times and decided to try it when it's not too busy. This place has many flavors of the coconut dessert. Service is fast or order at the counter. There can be a long line to wait to order if it's busy. Interior is bright and big with many tables/chairs for people to hangout. All the flavors are clearly labelled and their dessert is not too sweet. We tried the Sunset Mango Coconut, Black Sesame Walnut Coconut and the Pistachio Rose. The Sunset Mango one tastes the best. The Black Sesame Walnut one is good too but a little runny. The Pistachio Rose is so-so. It looks pretty though. Overall when comparing this with Tong Sui: - OPTIONS: MeloMelo offers more options and different interesting flavors than Tong Sui. - TEXTURE: MeloMelo's texture is more soft and runny. For some jars, it's like drinking dessert "soup". For Tongsui, there is more texture, less watery, and more "chew". You feel like you're eating dessert. - PRICING: MeloMelo is slightly more expensive. Some flavors are as much as $13.99 for a small jar (like the ones we ordered), not sure if it's worth it. The cheaper flavors are still $10.99.

My first time trying Melo Melo, and it was pretty darn good. I think I like it better than Tong Sui, although they're pretty much the same thing. I might be biased because I love how cute their jars and bags are haha. Also, they seem to have more fruit flavors than Tong Sui, so I would definitely come back to try the other flavors. I wanted to try the dragonfruit one but it was sold out. It's definitely a splurge since it's pretty expensive.

A coconut jelly dessert served in a variety of tropical flavors in cut glass jars. We walked inside to see what all the hype was about but did not order as we had ordered dessert from Beard Papa. Inside and dining area was very clean and may try their dessert the next time I see their store front sign.

This place is a spot to get different flavored Coconut pudding based desserts. They have a wide selection of fruits and flavors. My wife got Mango and I got Triple Coffee flavor. The taste was very good but I'm not a huge fan of pudding, (just not really into the texture). The whole time we were there, there was a line so obviously this business is popular.

This was my first time ever going to this particular coconut dessert shop, and I've been wanting to try it out for so long, but their parking lot is honestly horribly packed but if you go around 9 PM on a Thursday night, no one is insight except for at this establishment! Lol I was actually surprised, there were only two tables available for my girlfriends and I to sit at! Since we were able to get one of the last tables, I will also note that I have a sensitivity to Lite and the fact this whole shop had LED lights with neon white background. It was very triggering for my eyes. So sadly, I actually looked down the whole time. My girlfriend and I were in here due to my sensitivity of light. Apparently on a Thursday night, everything in Cupertino shuts down early! Nevertheless, we were able to each get a dessert and I was only planning on eating half of mine, but it was honestly so good. I accidentally finished the whole thing!! I will definitely be going back to try the other flavors but be aware some of them do contain cow milk. I'm lactose intolerant and I was able to get this vegan mango dessert and it was so delicious. I literally ate the whole thing!! It had a great fresh flavor and the coconut inside as well as the little pearls were very crunchy and Boba like textured.

We have been walking past MeloMelo so many times but this is the first time we decided to walk in and check out the coconut pudding. The decoration of the store is very fancy, almost like a fast fashion jewelry store but selling designer deserts. We ordered the Pistachio rose oat desert and it looks so pretty! Have to say the taste of the desert itself probably does not worth the $14 price tag.

I came into MeloMelo with some friends on a weekend, and I loved the aesthetics of the dessert place! Plastic clear chairs, mirrored and white walls made for a spacious environment. Their classic coconut desserts are already made and placed in glass jars, which made ordering easy as we were able to see the finished dessert. I tried their combined Oreo and Matcha coconut dessert. The dessert itself felt very light and creamy, and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The heavier and richer chocolate flavor of the Oreo portion balanced out the earthy match taste. Love the texture of dessert, and it's not too filling after any large lunch or dinner!

My friend and I stopped by MeloMelo for a sweet treat after dinner. Their coconut jellies come pre-made in jars, which are displayed in a case near the register. They have a variety of different flavors to choose from, including a couple of vegan ones. As someone who loves both matcha and cookies and cream, I enjoyed their Matcha Oreo flavor. Their coconut jellies are silky, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The interior of this place is clean and aesthetic, and there are a handful of tables you can sit and enjoy your order at. I will say that their coconut jellies are a bit on the pricier side (~$14 for mine), so this is a dessert that I would only get every once in a while.

Famous coconut dessert store. It is large for dessert store. It is nicely decorated and has plenty of seating. The size is more than double the similar store that sell similar dessert. Looks like everything is pre-made. They are plenty of variations of the coconut dessert, you can order just coconut one or mix with other stuff like fruits. You order from the worker directly and order is ready almost instantly. The dessert is fresh and yummy. It is quite pricey. If I am not mistaken, You can return the container and for certain amount of container you return you can can one dessert free. Cash is not accepted.

After barbecue, we noticed Melo Melo across the plaza, a spot we hadn't seen before, and it immediately caught our attention. The space is beautifully decorated, especially the wall of colorful jars, which gives it a really fun, modern vibe. Even though it was pretty quiet when we went, my friend and I were excited to try it because everything looked so good. She ordered a coffee-based drink (I believe it was an espresso or latte), and I had the mango coconut with rice. Both were delicious. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, not overpowering at all, and the texture was amazing, almost like yogurt. The flavors were spot-on and really refreshing. One thing we loved was the glass jar the dessert came in. Instead of tossing it, we realized it's perfect for reusing or recycling, great for things like overnight oats or storage at home. It's such a thoughtful and sustainable touch. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend it. I really hope they open a location in San Jose someday. Parking can get crowded on weekends, but since it was a holiday, it was surprisingly easy and quiet. Pricing is reasonable, maybe not an everyday treat, but absolutely worth it for the quality and taste. We can't wait to come back and try more flavors. Great concept.

Always room for melo melo! I had the triple latte and it was very good. Not too sweet - and the coffee jelly was tasty. The counter staff were friendly and were able to help us with all of our questions. The ambiance was great - they have a very neat and clean theme, and their dessert displays were great. They were also decorated nicely for the holidays. The tables were clean and had WiFi access codes right at the table. If I ever want melo melo again, I wouldn't mind coming back here.

A great spot for a not so sweet dessert! That is also a bit healthier than most. My favorite flavor is their matcha oreo option! Love oreo cream reminds me of the oreo cream you find in an Oreo pizzookie and the matcha portion balances out the sweetness from the oreo cream. It is a bit pricey at 13$ but it is a good treat yourself dessert or one that you can share with friends or family:) Service is fast, they have a kiosk and a cashier. This location is pretty big, lots of tables to sit at, but I usually take mine to go. Side note: Love their glass jars, I use them for matcha lattes at home, but also wish they had a recycling/rewards program for the jars.

Tried this place on a Sunday night, so there few limited options left. Got the triple coconut to share with my partner, and it was delicious!!!! I was so surprised. The coconut jelly is silken soft and melts away in your mouth. It has a nice natural sweetness that was refreshing to eat. It was addicting and I kinda wished I had my own dessert lol! The only downside is that it is difficult to remove the inner coconut layer from the shell without proper utensils. My partner used the end of the plastic spoon to carve out coconut pieces. The plastic spoon broke as we continued to dig into the coconut. If you love coconut pudding, try out Melo Melo! The pudding is amazing and if you decide to get the triple coconut, it may be better to eat at home so you can crack the coconut open for the meat inside.

We walked into a casual, easygoing space where the concept is simple but works well: warm fish-shaped waffle cones filled with different flavors paired with creamy soft serve and toppings. The setup is straightforward and the atmosphere stays relaxed, making it a fun stop for a quick dessert rather than a place you would spend a long time sitting. The taiyaki is the main highlight and gives the desserts their signature appeal. The outside has a light crispness while the inside stays soft, creating a nice contrast with the cold soft serve. The fillings offer a good mix of classic and creative options, with red bean, custard, black sesame, and Nutella being some of the popular choices. We tried the red bean, which keeps things traditional with a mild sweetness, and the black sesame, which adds a nuttier flavor that pairs especially well with the waffle texture. Nutella works well if you prefer something richer and more dessert-like, with the warm pastry melting slightly against the chocolate spread. The soft serve is what brings everything together, with flavors like matcha and ube standing out. The matcha has a noticeable tea flavor without becoming too intense, and the ube adds a sweeter, more dessert-focused option that complements the warm pastry nicely. Adding toppings like cookies or cereal gives the dessert extra texture and makes each order feel more customizable. The combination of warm taiyaki, cold soft serve, and different fillings is what makes Somisomi different from a typical ice cream stop, with the temperature contrast and variety of textures keeping each bite interesting. Service is usually quick, which fits the style of the shop since most people come in for a treat on the go. The staff handles the steady flow efficiently, and the turnover moves at a pace that keeps the line from backing up. The menu is straightforward, but there are enough combinations to make repeat visits interesting, with the rotating soft serve flavors and filling options giving you room to try something new each time. Somisomi is a fun dessert spot that does a great job with a simple concept, especially if you enjoy Asian-inspired desserts and want something that balances warm, crispy, creamy, and sweet in one order. The quality of the taiyaki and the balance of flavors make it a worthwhile stop when you are in the mood for something a little different from the usual ice cream or pastry run.

Since then, we have continued to come here occasionally, but keep a close eye on our credit card statements for any unexpected activity. This is always a fun experience. If you allow enough time between visits, there will be different flavors to choose from, though I always go for the chocolate options. The are plenty of toppings that also change from time to time, with both traditional stuff like chocolate chips and crushed Oreo cookies and Asian-themed selections like popping boba and lychee or mango jelly. So many possible permutations.... Pricing is by weight, and they will typically want to weigh up to 4 cups together and generate a single total price. In the past I've had my doubts as to whether they actually tare the scale to reflect the number of cups on there. Typically we've asked for each cup to be weighed and priced separately, partially because we also wanted to find out who was the biggest glutton in our group. Lately we've given them the benefit of the doubt and weighed them all at once. This place could use more indoor seating - they certainly have space for at least a few more tables and chairs. There is some shared outdoor seating, but on dark and rainy January evenings it's nice to enjoy one's froyo in a cozier setting.

Upon arriving, we were told that all the rooms were booked and no follow up questions from their end. This remained the same throughout the entirety of the communication. I had to inquire all the questions, thinking I was asking the right ones to know prices and availability. I was wrong. With my questions, the answers I received were: 1) small room would take about 1 hour and 2) medium room would be about 40-45 minutes. Again, no follow up question from them whether which room we want, offering prices for each room, and asking if we wanted to put our name down. I only asked if the medium price would be the same as small, since we only had 2 people. That's something I should have reworded because what I actually wanted to know is how much would it be for 2 people--this was after 9:30 PM, for a medium room. I want to highlight that even though I am responsible for inquiries for clarification, a general rule also uniformly applies for businesses to be upfront with pricing and services for clarification. In short, that was completely absent throughout the interaction. We didn't know better, since we are not usuals at this establishment, which truly did feel that this was intentionally done to upcharge us. At the time, we chose convenience and said we would take whichever room--small or medium, as they stated--became available first. The medium room became available about 15 minutes after we had returned earlier to ask how to get on the "waitlist." Yet again, the process itself was never explained nor openly offered to us. We were informed of the $99/hour charge for the medium room only after being called up to the front desk/food station area, when the staff member was already writing the price on the receipt with a clipboard. This key detail should have been clearly disclosed at the very beginning of the first interaction--way before the signing at the desk to enter the room. My previous paragraphs can be referenced to this. Instead, signing and entering the room was processed as both the very first and final contact/confirmation. Thus, we weren't given any pricing and details prior until our name was called and came to the desk to sign. That is the primary issue: not disclosing the needed information well in advance until signing. Also, to their other review response --if there were management, then it could be with the person overseeing the computer, whom I directed the questions to. Like other reviewers have mentioned (which, in hindsight, we should have read more closely), there was a noticeable lack of transparency. We essentially had to ask every question ourselves in order to get basic information. Even then, the responses were brief and only addressed exactly what we asked--without offering additional context or details that would have helped us fully understand the pricing or process. And that in itself--is dishonest. Deceptive, too. Because of the lack of intent and transparency, we also weren't offered pricing information with the small room at any given point. So for those who wish to visit this establishment, be mindful of the highly, subtle deception. Perhaps you could try and ask directly for the pricing of each room, depending on head count, but who knows if they would provide information in all the extent needed for customers to make an informed decision. The medium room could fit 6-8 people maximum from our perception. The pricing on the website does not provide any room sizing price, or estimation. Just by head count, so essentially, we were being charged for the 9-10 people ($99/hr rate) that is listed on the webpage. Yes, here's the fine print from the website: "RATES & ROOM CAPACITY: The final rate will be based on either room size or total number of people, with the higher rate applied." If the $99/hr charge was purely due to the medium room size, as it did note that a "higher rate may apply," then that would have been understandable--if that information had been deliberately shared to us well in advance before signing. Even then, it becomes much more questionable since it seems that 6-8 people ($79/hr) could be accommodated in a medium size room. If so, then this was an upcharge, given all information had been nebulous. However, the issue I am pointing out here is the extreme lack of transparency and the involuntary manner in how the information was provided before signing. The general answers mentioned above were disclosed only when prompted by our questions, and even then the responses remained consistently evasive and limited. The quote above was already included in this original post. Read the latest response to see how they confirmed their own fradulence. Never was offered a large yet was given one and upcharged.
