I love their malai kulfi! It was an introduction to indian ice cream and I wish I tried this sooner. Why isn't this more popular? It's kinda like tea flavored ice cream, it has the herbs that are present in a lot of Indian tea, giving it a unique flavor that western ice cream stores don't have. Seriously, I think a lot of people would like their flavors! This place is a staple to the crossroads community. I believe I met one of the owners one time when they came in to open (either the owner or an opener, not sure) and he was super sweet! So was the girl that I met a few days ago. This is easily one of the most unique ice cream shops I've visited. They offer many traditional Indian-inspired flavors in addition to classic ones, and I was all for trying something new. As the two of us browsed the selection, we asked if we could sample, but the employee behind the counter stated they don't allow sampling. While he was nice about it, this was so unexpected, given that many customers wouldn't necessarily be familiar with the more ethnic flavors (like Chikoo or Rajbhog, for example). Nevertheless, I had my mind set on the Kulfi ($5.45 each), which comes in semi-circle slices that are cut into cubes right before serving. + TRADITIONAL MANGO KULFI: When I first tasted this, I detected a bit of nuttiness before the actual mango flavor revealed itself. Rather than being vibrant and fruity like one might expect, I'd say the mango is more of an undertone. + KESAR PISTA KULFI: This one had pretty strong notes of cardamom, combined with the mild nuttiness of pistachio and what I'm assuming was a touch of saffron. Both were extremely creamy, rich and the perfect sweetness. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed them, especially the Kesar Pista for its novelty factor. Given the Kulfi is denser than your typical ice cream, it actually had a slight chew and was slow to melt, so one can savor the flavor without feeling rushed to eat it. This type of ice cream is not an easy find, so I definitely recommend it if you're feeling a bit adventurous. I'd just suggest doing some upfront research on the various flavors before arriving since sampling is not an option. 4.25 stars. read more

My adventurous friend and I stumbled upon this place after grabbing hot pot across the street at Happy Lamb. We expected just basic vanilla, mint chocolate chip, etc., but were pleasantly surprised that they offered a large selection of traditional Indian ice cream flavors as well. I'm familiar with rose water, coconut, and lychee ice cream, but many of the other flavors like Malai Kulfi, Mava Kulfi, Rajhbog, Chikoo, and Paan Masala I had no idea what they were. I texted my Indian friend and he was able to inform me of some of the flavors. The rest I had to Google. Thankfully, they allow you to sample as many flavors as you want and so I tried at least four flavors before deciding. I ended up getting a single scoop of the Thandai (which is apparently a traditional, nutty Indian drink) (~$5). My friend got a single scoop of the Paan Masala. Both were very creamy and flavorful and I liked the light but nutty flavor of the Thandai. The Paan Masala was definitely interesting; apparently the flavor is from a leaf that is commonly chewed like tobacco. It had a lot of colors (think birthday cake) and texture to it from candied fennel seeds and other chopped up gummy candies. My friend, who has never had fennel seeds before, described it as tasting like nerds candy and gummy worms. Prices are pretty high for a small scoop of ice cream, but you can get a pint for just under $11, which is comparable to Molly Moons and other Seattle ice cream chains. The traditional Indian flavors are always refreshing and never get old because you can't get them anywhere else. This spot is easily a 5/5 and the service is on point. I felt bad the worker explaining all the flavors and letting me sample them. Personal favorite is the Alphonso mango, it was unbelievably good. I know Thai mangos get all the attention but Indian mango is the sleeper choice and so rich in flavor. A definite must try. There were some other "classic flavors" that I wasn't familiar with, including one with beetle nut which was interesting. Not a favorite but appreciate the opportunity to try it! I really liked the Kulfi Falooda but Paan Masala was very sweet. I think if it was a lot less sugary, it would have been my favorite. I checked with them about which flavor was the least sweet and they said that coconut seemed to be the sweetest so I would definitely avoid that one. On my next visit I might try their Anjeer walnut and Chikoo. I got to try three of their flavors before proceeding to buy them. I loved the Rose and Thandai flavor too but again, could have been less sweet. They are open all 7 days atleast until 10 pm with the exception of Friday and Saturday when they are open until 11 pm. Being an Indian shop, many of their flavors are authentic, like butterscotch, black current, paan masala, rose milk, rajbhogh, kesar pista, tokti frooti, etc. They have trials so you can taste whichever ones you want. On a different menu, they have ice creams tubs, and even cassata! I ordered a single scoop of the Paan Masala, and my friend got the double Rose Petal and Butterscotch. All three of them were a solid 5/5. The flavor was bursting in all of them without being overpowering at all. Paan Masala even had genuine saunf and other spices in it. It couldn't have been better! Rose was mild and mixed perfectly with Butterscotch. They don't have much seating inside but are located near the public benches. This place is a hidden gem! Excited to try this place after hearing they had falooda. Me and my cousin ordered the Badshai Falooda which comes as a drink and the regular falooda which comes in a cup like a sundae. Both were just alright and nothing amazing in flavor. They just put some rose ice cream mixed it with milk in the blender and added vermicelli noodles, some basil seeds with rose syrup and a pinch of nuts and called it falooda when its missing the main part of jello that comes in authentic falooda. For $8 I wasn't impressed. They had some other flavors that looked good like mango and pistachio which I might consider trying but the falooda sadly didnt have a wow factor and needs to be worked on. I do appreciate that they opened an ice cream shop catered towards the desi community since there are not a lot of dessert options in the area. Also we came on a weeknight around 6pm and there was only 3 other customers seated inside at the table inside so we didnt have to wait long and the lady at the cashier was nice and prompt in serving us. On the other hand the customer sitting down with his ice cream was super annoying and kept interrupting us to order more. Its like come on this isn't India have some common courtesy and wait your turn to order something instead of butting in every 2mins to ask for something. Finally stopped by here after hearing about it for a few weeks and were so happy to see the range of flavors of Indian ice-creams that took us back to our childhood. It wasn't very crowded when we just got there but in literally 15 minutes it was packed. We got a scoop each of the Alphonso Mango and the Butterscotch and both were absolutely outstanding. I wish there was a little more crunchy caramel in the butterscotch but given that it was a flavor I'd eaten after about a decade, I couldn't complain. I would have loved to try out a few flavors but maybe will go next time at an odd hour when there's no rush. The extremely kind and friendly lady behind the counter did offer to let us try and we tasted the paan-masala (which was let's say interesting) but it didn't feel right to hold up the line so we skipped on tasting more. A little pricey as far as ice-cream scoops in the area go but given that it's by far the most authentic and close to home Indian ice-cream I've seen in the greater Seattle area, it's no wonder that business is booming and the place is always packed. Thank you Shirley. After a nice dinner, we were craving ice cream. We found Kwality Ice cream in Bellevue. This store has some very unique flavors from Pakistan and India along with traditional flavors. They have flavors like Rose, Kulfi, Saffron, Chicoo, Paan, Mango, Pistachio and more. When we went in, a young lady Shirley was working behind the counter. The owner was also present. As we waited our turn, the store got very busy. We were surprised that the owner abruptly left while Shirley was meticulously taking the orders and preparing them. She was overwhelmed with customers but she kept her smile and did a fabulous job. She took care of every single customer and everyone was happy. Didn't hear anyone complain. She told us she had been working for just a week. Wow! The service and quality is subpar. Kido desires to sample before purchasing. Initially, the restaurant staff mentioned sampling only flavors not previously tried. This directive wasn't clear at the time. However, when Kido attempted to sample a third flavor, the staff hesitated, stating a maximum of two samples. Such a restrictive policy feels odd and impractical. Ice cream was very melty before reaching the car. I won't return to this place! read more

Kwality Ice Cream was popping on the Saturday night that we went! There was a steady stream of customers coming in and out, so that gave us a good sign. There's a ton of different flavors to choose from, and it was great that you're able to sample any flavors! After trying a few, we decided to go with the pista and mango kulfi. They're served in slabs, and each costs around $6, which was a bit pricey for the amount of ice cream given. I was so excited to eat the kulfi, that taking a picture completely slipped my mind haha. Both kulfi were so so creamy! The pista kulfi had a nice nuttiness from the pistachio flavor, and the pistachio pieces on the bottom added a nice crunch. The vibrant green made it look so pretty too. The mango kulfi was extremely refreshing, and I loved how natural the mango flavor was. At other places, sometimes the ice cream tastes icy, with a small hint of mango. But this kulfi was different. First time coming here and the guy was rude. The place looks not kept well and it doesn't feel welcoming like other ice cream shop. Not only is more expensive than other places also they expect a tip. My husband did not know about the tip option and he just swiped the card and he walked to me with the cones then the guy in a bad way asked him to finish the transaction.
