Interior reminds me old skool Chinatown restaurants. Very cozy but familiar looking. Venue has all the traditional Vietnamese fare one would expect (pho, banh mi, rice dishes, meat and seafood entrees and some vegetarian choices). I decided to get the grilled pork with vermicelli. The bowl was enormous and filled generously with perfected cooked rice noodles. It was topped with lettuce, bean sprouts, basil and mint. Several pieces of grille pork rested atop this dish. The pork was slightly sweet (carmelized taste) with a hint of smokiness and very tender. The fish sauce came on the side. My companion had the whole fried fish, which was also good. read more

This restaurant is a little hidden gem in an otherwise-unassuming strip mall. It was packed on a Saturday night which is always a good sign, and our order was still ready in under 10 minutes. We started with the shrimp summer rolls ($7.50) and a side of steamed veggies ($5). There was too much dry noodles on the inside for my personal preference, but the order came with two large rolls and two dipping sauces. The chicken pho was *delicious* and a large portion (although a bit more expensive than other restaurants in the area at $20.50). The only downside is the location is really inconvenient. They seemed to have changed some of their recipes in the past 6 months, most notably the fried spring rolls. I ordered the vermicelli with grilled pork and fried spring rolls and was saddened by the two bland spring rolls that had barely any filling which turned out to be cabbage and carrots. The broth is like veggie water and really lacks flavor even w copious amounts of sriracha and hoisin. Its kind of funny they offer a version w beef broth but ig that tickles peoples pickles. First time here at this food spot. Liked the interior. It was decorated for the season with lights and there were bamboo privacy barriers between each table setup. Food was good. 3.5 stars. Was a bit disappointed with the banh which sadly had very little filling, and we had to ask for a side of cilantro to be added. On the other hand, we enjoyed the sweet and sour soup (with salmon), which was filling and good to share between two people. It has a tart but savory tamarind base with a slight peppery kick that was tasty and appetizing. Great for a chilly day! The furniture and decor reminded me of the restaurants in Chinatown. They had colorful Christmas lights, cute trinkets here and there, and bamboo screens between tables. It's not Vietnamese food that is served in this restaurant, it's a mishmash of pan Asian flavors where Chinese dishes masquerade as Vietnamese and vice versa. Yesterday I wandered in, having only dined here once pre covid. The dish I ordered was supposed to be a pork stir fry, over vermicelli noodles and Asian vegetables. The menu read ok, it sounded interesting, and I was really hungry. I ordered a hot tea. The tea was served loose in a pot with hot water. Normally I prefer loose tea to a tea bag, but in this case there was hardly any in the pot, making it hot water.... With tea strands. Not a great start. Literally a minute later I was presented with a plate of rice vermicelli with stir fried something over the top in a lightly seasoned sauce. The trouble was and I didn't send it back- but I should have because the rice pasta was a glop of rice noodles. Obviously held in water until service, this solid mass of humanity was anything but what the menu read. Something in there didn't smell right. Xo sauce maybe? Maybe the pork? We will come here more often, I think, in the future. We had noodle soups with egg noodles. They are tasty as well as they are heartily portion size. Egg rolls was nice and crunchy. I've been here several times and it used to be one of the best Pho restaurants in the area. Unfortunately it saddens me to say that tonight I will give this restaurant 2 stars because the Bo Luc Lac (beef cube with rice) was awful. This dish is supposed to be served with juicy delicious beef shaped into small cubes. Tonight's dish was served with shriveled small laughable beef cubes that were over cooked, dry, and fried with oil. If I had to guess, the restaurant is using lower quality beef in this dish, and it shows! I've never sent back unfinished dishes back but after a few bites I had the waiter take the dish away from me. I'm so disappointed. On the bright side, the pho noodles are still good. read more

Service was odd, no one approached us as we sat on one of their outdoor tables but then they seem to rush us to order and clear the table. The menu is so large, you need 15 mins to get through it. Pho was delicious and I ordered a bahn mi to go. The sliced pork was dry and a bit tough. It was huge, at least 12". It coulda used a bit more pickled veggies tho. We stopped by this place for lunch after spending the morning at Funplex. When we walked in, the restaurant was packed and we had to wait to be seated. However, we were not once greeted while waiting for a decent 10-15 minutes or so. Even while it was finally our turn, the staff didn't asked how many of us in the party.. just "follow me" which I thought was a bit weird. The customer service at this establishment was definitely lacking from beginning to end but the reason I still gave four stars is because of the food. We ordered a large pho dat biet, grilled pork and egg rolls over vermicelli noodles, and a sweet and sour salmon soup. My wife said the pho was really good and her nephew ate most of it. I had the vermicelli noodles and the grilled pork was very tasty. They could've add more egg rolls though as there was only two in total. The wife had the salmon soup and she said it was delicious. I was craving some pho recently and ordered takeout from this place for the first time. I was a little worried to try a new pho place but this place still hit the spot! I got the rare beef pho and loved how they packaged everything separately for takeout. Some places put the toppings with the noodles or put the beef with the noodles. So, unpacking the food was great! The food was still hot when i received it as well. As for taste, the soup was a little more bland than i was used to but was still good. I only wish the place gave me more packets of hoisin and sriracha because one packet of each was definitely not enough. I also didnt receive any utensils with my order unfortunately. I came here with a friend for a weekend early dinner. What I did appreciate were the table dividers. It made every table a cozy place to catch up and be present with who you came with. However I want to comment on the veggie pho. It was said in the menu that it came with beef broth so I asked for vegetable broth substitute which they agreed to. Unfortunately the taste was so bland it took away from the whole experience of the vegetable pho that my friend has raved about. Service was nice to check in on us during our time there but I would say they need to work on the vegetarian broth. When I think pho is in the title of a restaurant, I would expect to eat quality pho and to be able to see at least one vegetarian friendly pho on the menu with a broth that actually tastes up to par. read more

Recommended by friends of the owner, we went for dinner. The ambiance is very very casual, & family friendly, We ordered basic beef Pho and grilled, marinated shrimp vermicelli. The pho broth lives up to its reputation. After adding fresh squeeze of lime and fresh mint, the flavors were heavenly. The longer you let them marinate they better they get! Deciding to give it a try since we hadn't had pho near our new home, we popped in and were quickly seated. They have different sizes of bowls for pho to choose from, but we needed to have it explained since there was no clear visual representation. I ordered a tofu and vegetable pho, which arrived steaming hot to the table soon after. The broth was seasoned quite nicely, which I sampled before anything. The triangular tofu appeared like it had been fried, but it didn't work well with the components at all. Moving past that, the vegetables tasted like they had been frozen and recently thawed. I think I may have found another go-to place...like I want to go-to Saigon Pho again right now!! Wifey and I actually hadn't been to a Vietnamese restaurant together in over 20 years (some place in Minneapolis), but we might not wait 20 days to eat here again...can you tell I liked the place?!? Since we wanted leftovers we decided to get way more than we could eat, but we found the prices perfectly acceptable. We started with shrimp summer rolls and the best Chicken Satay I've ever had in my life. We then both ordered rice noodle phô...Wifey had the chicken and well done flank and I had the rare beef and well done flank pho. I'm no expert, but this was FANTASTIC. I added a bit of chili sauce and sriracha and I fell in love with phô. We also ordered chicken stir fried rice noodles and the combo fried rice. Both were very good, but the fried rice had peas in it...I hate peas-not their fault, I didn't ask...but I hate peas so I pushed them over to Wifey. I went with a group of 4 after snowboarding and really wanted something soupy. The waiter seated us right away and was super friendly. The first thing I noticed was that the menu was so thick and pretty! I went with the Large Pho: Rare Beef and Well Done Brisket Noodle Soup and shared a pork banh mi with another person. I also ordered a Thai Iced Tea. Pho: I would say hands down, one of the best pho's i've had in NJ thus far. The broth was very clean and had real depth to it. I usually douse the broth with sriracha sauce but this broth did not need that at all. The noodles were also cooked to perfection. Pork Banh Mi: It would have been better with sauce in the bread or a dipping sauce that accompanied it but the pork was still very flavorful and the bread was very soft and good. Thai Iced Tea: I always seem to order Thai Iced Tea when i go to Vietnamese/Thai restaurants and this was OKAY. Not the best but still good. Still liked that it wasn't as sweet as some of the thai iced teas i had but it did seem a little watered down. Would def come here again whenever I'm in the area and craving some Pho:) read more
