Always a good time. I've been here a few times and I always enjoy it. There are plenty of options for protein and veggies, so it's easy for everyone in your group to be pretty happy. The price point is about right two. I usually get the poke bowl when I go, and have yet to try the sushi burritos. In the past I've done the sort of create your own. But this past visit, I chose one of the Pre-decided options (I was feeling indecisive) , the Geisha Crunch (pictured). It was super good. Loved that it was loaded with cucumber, great for the summer heat. Overall always a great time. My favorite thing is the saucy choices. Love the wasabi aioli and the sriracha aioli. Only gave it 4 stars because is it the most amazing poke I've ever had? No. But when I have a craving and I'm in a rush, it comes pretty dang close. read more

Sad to say my first time in here was "meh". The worker just stared at me while I looked at the menu, even though I told her it was my 1st time here. I usually go to Koifin Poke by UTSA and wanted to try something different, but the customer service really does make a difference. I just ordered an appetizer that would be quick and they told me to sit while I wait, but I chose to stand. Another worker came and smiled and told me to please sit , and I had to say no thank you I'd rather stand once again ‍. Oh well, it made me laugh cuz they wanted me to sit, but I don't think I will return anytime soon. read more

Yummy fresh ingredients and quick service! I picked up a bowl to-go and was very pleased with the variety of options and efficiency of the staff member. I tried the salmon with sushi rice and added veggies, House sauce, sriracha aioli and crispy garlic and onion toppings. I will definitely be back to try more. The restaurant was very clean and I like that all of the ingredients are labeled and that there are descriptions for each of their sauces. If you are a poké fan you should come here! read more

They were very nice but their portions were very small. They give very little protein in the Poke bowl. A High price for a skimpy amount of fish! San Poke has much better portions and tastes much better for less the price. read more

People dig Sushi and people dig burritos...culinary world said hold my beer and the sushi burrito was born! At least that's how it probably came about? Not that it matters because it works and it's deeeelish! Think a subway style ordering experience for sushi burritos and poké bowls! The spicy salmon was delicious as was the tuna. Both tasted super fresh and clean and had great texture. This place is so good!! Their bowls are super fresh and flavorful. You go down a line to choose what you want in your bowl. I typically get the combo B which comes with miso soup and some egg roll type things. The employees are also really nice and friendly, and they offer a rewards program and military discount. read more

I love the idea of a sushi burrito. Truly my two favorite foods in one. But what is the best part of a burrito you may ask? The fullness. My sushiritto did not live up to this. First step you chose your proteins. For two proteins it is $8.95 and three scoops of protein is 10.95. I opted for two. I chose spicy salmon and shrimp tempura, but received very little of both. Next step you pick your mix-ins. Step 3 you pick your dressing. The house classic was very yummy. Step 4 you pick your topping. They have a variety of toppings but the good ones are extra. Avocado is an extra 1.50. What is this chipotle? Cream cheese is a $1 extra. I got crab salad. It was pretty good, nothing special. Step 5 and the last step the "crunch" they do have Hot Cheetos as an option which I thought was neat! Packets of soy sauce at the end by the register. They do have a rewards system with FiveStars. Overall the place was super clean and hip but after finishing my sushirrito I was still hungry and so was my friend who got one too. Next time maybe I'll try the poke bowl. It would also be nice if there was sushirittos that you could pick from for people that want to try them but don't know which options would make a delicious roll. Looks like my complaint is the same as a lot of others. Wish I'd read this before I went. I absolutely love the location on De Zavala so I was surprised how disappointed I was with this location Bandera/Helotes. I asked for spicy Mayo and eel sauce. Well there were literally only 5 drops of eel sauce. There was an overwhelming portion of cucumbers and rice. There were hardly any other toppings and for $16 each I expected more. If I didn't live so far away I would have asked for a partial refund. I would definitely avoid this location. read more

Long story short -- we LOVE this place. We used to frequent the one on i10 and dezavala and were so excited when this one opened up down the street. They haven't been here long, and I don't think they've even had their official grand opening yet and we've been at least 3-4 times already. Fresh, delicious ingredients fast, friendly staff, tons of options, great price point. We've never been disappointed and will continue to be regulars! Think Chipotle or subway, but Asian. So happy that a poke place opened nearby. I don't have to go to the original location anymore! So excited to try this place the first time I saw it a couple months ago. Although I already tried the original place when it was still named Rolling Fish. Didn't know they opened one and didn't see any ads. It's next to Gold's Gym Bandera Trails. I came here for a late lunch after running errands for most of my morning. They had a sign up saying "Grand Opening" but not sure if it was that same day I went a week ago. Anyway, it was kind of hard to order because their stickers or posters telling u the steps (and list of items) on how to order were not all located on the same place (some were placed on the counter, some on the clear window where u can see everything). They need to place the steps in one common place, either the counter as u go thru each station or on the window. This confuses people. It confused me and I felt like I've never been to a poke bowl place before. I am giving 3 stars mainly because they are stingy with the fish (protein). I ordered a bowl with 2 proteins, one salmon and one ahi. I was disappointed that i only had maybe 4 pieces of ahi in my bowl. The original location gave a decent amount. Not a lot but decent, definitely more than 4 pieces. Also their Sriracha mayo sauce was a bit bland, couldn't really taste it, tasted watered down. I don't know if it's because they just opened or new management (wonder why they changed the name). I guess I'll be going to the original location until I feel like I want to give this new location another try. read more

The worst restaurant i have ever been, I paid 50 bucks and i got nothing to full me, can't understand, don't go here.

So have you ever been out with someone and you can't decide what you want to eat, you want sushi, they want a burrito. Well what is someone supposed to do. Problem solved, just head over to Hula Poke for a sushi burrito, or a sushirrito. I had seen them around town before but never made it in. A friend did and said it was often, so when I looked up and saw one next door to Golds Gym, I was like now is the time. At $8.95 for 2 scoops of protein, or $10.95 for the scoops plus all the add ins you want it is a fair price considering the cost of most sushi. They offer poke bowls (a rice base), poke salad, a romaine lettuce base, and the sushirrito, wrapped up in rice and nori burrito style. I went with the sushirrito, and decided on the fried tofu protein. I added in spinach, corn, onion, jalapeños, cucumber, yuzu sauce, wasabi aoli, pickled ginger, seaweed salad, crab salad, wonton crisps, daikon and carrot, and spicy sprinkle, fukikae, I think. I think that was everything, but there are many other options as well. So it comes out standard sushi roll size per a sheet of nori, but probably about twice as thick depending on your add ons. The flavors were great, very fresh, with a nice kick of spice due to my preferences, the flavors you can make your own. And it comes out to make a nice filling, but light meal. I have to say they picked a great location next to a gym, as it makes a great post workout meal, light but filling with a good hit of protein and veggies. If you have never been I recommend Hula Poke to everyone, even if you are not a big fan of raw fish you can do grilled chicken, boiled or shrimp tempura, or the fried tofu. Give it a try I seriously doubt you will be disappointed. read more

I am a huge fan of hula poke, on de Zavala. This is my first time trying another location. So maybe, my review might not be fair. But the difference is notable. I got the same exact bowl as I would usually get, but the taste just wasn't there. They also did not mix the bowl at all, which resulted in the first few bites all being the same. I couldn't even taste the ponzu or house sauce. The pink lychee wasn't bad but it was super sweet and packed with ice, hardly any boba. Overall not worth the extra driving time. Try their de Zavala location for quality poke. read more

I used to go to Hula Poke on I-410 (closed). This is my first time trying in this location. Apparently, they raised the price and I got only half the size of what I used to get in another location. Very nice and healthy dining option. Poke in case you didn't know is a wonderful Hawaiian dish made of strictly raw fish and spices. Like salmon or tuna with some spices and herbs. This lets you go thru a cafe line and pick fish and toppings. Poke burrito, rice bowl or salad bowl. Pick two or three proteins vary by price. Then pick veggies. Then pick other toppings, drawing and crispy things. Try the lotus chips!! Tasty fish that seems fresh. Not a huge portion of the fish but at this pri e that it reasonable. Friendly service. Nice modern seating. This location is a bit bigger that others but somehow I like the other locations more? Maybe out of habit? read more

We took two middle school aged girls and they enjoyed making their own choices. I liked the fresh food, cold on a hot day.
