I love cold stone for many reasons. They are simple, consistent, and not too pricey. I absolutely love how creamy the ice cream is. Nothing truly compares to their ice cream! The inside is usually tidy. The only negative thing I could say is that lately the night staff has been quite rude almost to shoo away customers. I know cold stone is good for its brand but the employees at night are definitely starting to tarnish the cold stone name. Hopefully they either rehire or re enforce the brand name. Either way I'd say it's worth a go to come to cold stone. read more

When we first arrived Cristian got our order, we wanted a cup with cheesecake and chocolate devotion (our favorite flavors). He seemed to be having a bad day because he had a tough attitude, we've been to several Cold Stone locations and always order the same thing and it's always the same procedure. This time Cristian made it difficult for us and kept asking us about a size without any explanation. It's the first time a Cold Stone asks for a size and he kept looking at us in an ugly way. His explanations were very vague and unprofessional. The ice cream didn't have any cheesecake, just chocolate. Wouldn't recommend this location and wouldn't recommend Cristian getting your order. Went to Cold Stone in San Antonio Texas for a late night snack and the place for pretty packed. There a was actually a line. This is absolutely my favorite stop for Ice Cream. I got my ultimate favorite Oreo Cookie Overload which is so delicious. My nephew got Peanut Butter Overload such he loved. My brother got Mudpie Mojo which Ive have myself and it is also really good, and My sister-in-law got Peanut Butter Perfection and substituted the regular ice cream with banana ice cream. That one was really really good. I may have to get that one next time I go. The staff was courteous and polite and took our orders quickly with no hesitations. What I dont like about this location is tht I have went here about 5 different times and NONE of the workers wore gloves. The workers were polite. I came here on Friday night and it was pretty busy since people were buying cakes for Mother's Day and the movie theaters nearby was packed. I was very pleased that they were open until 11pm because I had a late night craving for sweets. First off I called this location around noon to ask if a cake could be set aside, and the words Happy Birthday written on it. I was told by a young lady that her boss has to write the words but he is in and the cake will be set aside, ready to go an a hour. I stopped by in the evening to find that the cake was set aside but nothing was written on it. A different member of the staff told me that the "boss" has to write Happy Birthday and that they are not in after 1ish.... I was told that normally they need 24 hour notice to write Happy Birthday on a cake. Now I'm fine with all of that but tell the customer when they call... don't tell me that the "boss" can do it, when they really cannot. I could have gone elsewhere, because I did have a plan b in case. My issue here is no accountability at all.... all I got was the girl from earlier should have told you that.... well she did tell me and in fact said the boss was there.... again no accountability. The cake wasn't too sweet like Baskin Robbins and the small cake was a perfect size for 6 people with extra left over since we all aren't really sweet eaters. The staff was really nice and even squeezed Happy Birthday Jessica on my little cake. It was fairly busy inside with only 2 employees working but they still gave great customer service. The reason why they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because I came in EXTRA thirsty one day (come on, its TEXAS) and I asked for water and do you know what the guy behind the counter did? This is the best place to get ice cream near me. The pricing is fairly reasonable for the quality and size of the serving. However, I was greatly disappointed during a recent visit. It was Saturday night, and there were only three employees on duty. With about 15 people in line ahead of me when I arrived, I waited 30 minutes before it was my turn to order. I have visited this location numerous times and can say that a lengthy wait time on Friday and Saturday night is not unusual.
