Umiya is consistently good. My daughter over their seaweed salad. Good variety of sushi, sashimi and appetizer meals option. Definitely a good value for all you can eat. They have a free desert with ice cream for my daughter's birthday.

Recently I came here with a friend to try something new. We came here around 6pm on a Friday night and it definitely did get crowded pretty quickly. Thankfully we were able to get seats since it was only two of us. The place itself had alot of seats and i did like to atmosphere and the look. Even though there were alot of people it wasn't loud and can hear eachother talk. We did have a small table next to this purple ish light (sorry for the photos the lamp didn't really help but the food was pretty). The waitress was very friendly and helpful. My friend who has a glutten allergy had alot of questions but the waitress was patient and made sure to offer her good options. I ordered a 'mango delight roll' which had snowcrab, mango which didn't sound good at first. However, after I tried it turned out to be delicious. It wasn't overpowering with fish or sweetness but the mango was light and complimented the roll well. Definitely worth a try. I also ordered a sushi pizza which was also good. Although I see it more as sushi nachos as the ingredients were on a chip, it was good overall. My friend ordered a shaggy roll which was also good. Since it had shrimp tempura she asked if she can substitute it with another meat like crap or shrimp not fried and the waitress was able to accommodate that which was even better. We did have a few appetizers as well. Usually I dont really like mussels but was suggested to try their popular item the New Zealand Mussels. It was actually really good. Loved the seasoning and sauces they used and looked very pretty. Their seaweed salad is also worth trying if you get the chance. Overall it was a great experience and enjoyed my time here. I definitely recommend any sushi lover to come try this place. Be aware this is a buffet so make sure to confirm the price (lunch and dinner are different) and also don't order too much. If you dont eat it all or leave a lot of food you could be charged extra so pace yourself.

My son is here on leave from GA and Sushi is something he wanted to try and I've been wanting to try this place for a while just haven't came until today. There were so many options, more than a couple of other places we have tried. The waiter we had was so friendly also. So they do have happy hour and diff days of the wk there are diff specials. Will def come back again. This was just my goodies didn't get pics of my sons and bfs but they enjoyed their rolls

We've been here a number of times, but always have a positive experience. The staff was really friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as always the salmon Nigiri was probably the best, definitely we'll be coming back. We've had a five out of five experience every time. They even made our sins a cool personalized scoop of ice cream

Umiya Sushi is a good spot for the lunch buffet, especially when dining with a group. There's a good variety of sushi and other Japanese dishes, so everyone can find something they like. Dishes come out fast and are very well displayed. The service is friendly and attentive, and the staff does a nice job keeping things moving without rushing you. The ambiance is casual and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy a meal together.

Always skeptical of all you can eat but this place BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER!!!!!! Sushi is fresh and not skimped on w toppings and sauces. The portions were great! Everything came out so fast and warm if it was supposed to be! Our server Vania was 10/10! So kind with our big group. LOVE that you order with a person and not a piece of paper. Absolutely would recommend. The price for dinner is like $30 per person but it was sooooo worth it. Note only took a few photos bc I was EATING

AYCE Totally worth it. They bring the food to you. It's not a buffet. I appreciate that greatly. I don't like others touching my food. The servers are so friendly, and helpful. They take their time & answer questions about the food & drinks. They'll also take the time to help you open the bottles if needed. #iykyk Try the strawberry soda. I think my two favorite rolls are the Lexington & the Harbor Rolls. The Lexington is a warm sushi roll, while the Harbor Roll is not,but it is loaded! I can promise you will need a nap after eating here. I have not had a single bad roll yet. I have come two weekends in a row now. Absolutely wonderful staff & exceptional food. I'll continue to come back. They're expanding here in town, & in 2026 they'll be opening one off of 151. Now, to get them to being one to Brooks City Base area.

Best sushi in San Antonio. I should know... I was forwarded deployed with the US Navy on the USS CUSHING DD 985 stationed in Yokosuka Japan for two years. Shaggy roll and Texas roll. Delicious. Mouth watering. Muy savoroso. Fried rice only second best to Golden Wok. Teriyaki appetizers, delish. Atmosphere . Cloud nine on top of Mt. Fuji. BONSAI!!!!!

Service was good and efficient. The place was cool and clean and fun. All food ordered which was numerous times came in a timely manner. And came hot when needed. I came for dinner with family. So much to choose from on their menu. Definitely can't wait to come back especially for the tempura shrimp. Start with 2 orders is my tip! Haha

If you ever want to experience the cuisine on a Caribbean cruise, but are concerned about getting seasick, then I have just the place for you, Umiya Sushi Seafood! Umiya is a one price "all you can eat" restaurant with a wide selection of menu options to choose from including various appetizers, Hibachi, Teriyaki, Tempura, Sashimi, Sushi rolls and a few desserts to complete the meal. I compare the experience to a cruise ship as the taste is similar to what you will find when feeding the masses. Good, not great, but I was not expecting much more, so no huge surprise. It's a good place to try a variety of different foods without worrying about an out of control bill at the end of the night. The service is outstanding and the waitstaff are literally power walking from the table to table. Even though the food is prepared freshly, it comes to you fairly quickly which means they can turnover customers at a fast pace. Besides for the entryway and the giant Hello Kitty near the front door, the decor is geared towards families and birthday parties. Because of the fast pace of the workers, you do feel a bit rushed to eat and move on even though you are not pressured from staff to do so.

My favorite all you can eat sushi restaurant. I love the tofu teriyaki! Everything is so good and many vegetarian options. They have a lunch menu as well during the week.

In the mood for sushi, decided to check this place out. We opted to sit at the bar as there was a wait for a table. Our bartender was Juan. He was attentive and friendly drinks were always refilled and Juan made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. I took off a star due to the long wait it took for some of our orders to come out. It is all you can eat, but it took about 15-20 minutes to get our orders of sushi after each round. I would come back as the sushi was great quality and tasted amazing! I will try their lunch next time as it was about $10 cheaper than dinner.

Honestly the best bang for your buck AYCE sushi spot in SA. Sashimi isn't always the freshest but they have the best appetizers, hand rolls, and overall variety in menu selection for an AYCE sushi place. Consistently solid and the dim lighting makes it a nice casual dining place. Service has also always been very fast and attentive every time I've gone.

There were a lot of mouth watering options but our favorites that keep us coming back are definitely the Goma Q (Cucumbers), Pot Stickers (pan fried), the beef udon , and ANY of their katsus (the pork and mozzarella is my personal favorite). I usually like to ask for curry on the side of the katsu's to enjoy with it but also to enjoy with the steamed rice. The katsu is a very beautiful offering no matter which cut you select and I really enjoy all the extras they serve it with like the salad with ginger dressing, the miso soup, and the sesame seeds (hand grinding them is satisfying for the soul and extremely aromatic). No matter which cut you grab, the katsu itself is crispy and ultra addictive and dipping it into the sauce it's served with and then rolling it in sesame seeds is almost a ritual of love to your taste buds. Touching back on the beef udon the broth is so flavorful, the onions are soft and savory, the shredded beef is ultra tender, and the noodles are OUT OF THIS WORLD. It is a larger portion so you may end up with left overs which is never a bad thing :) Although this is not a large restaurant, everything they do here is with lots of love. There's seating at the bar and then additionally there are tables. No matter where you sit, the service is always spot on. The staff is extremely sweet and besides the amazing food that's what keeps us coming back. If you haven't been here yet, I recommend checking this place out.

For appetitizers, we tried their pork chasu buns, takoyaki, and cucumber salad. They did not disappoint, easily the best pork buns and takoyaki I've ever tried. For my meal I enjoyed their kurobuta katsu which is Berkshire pork served with pickled vegetables, a japanese pickles, a house salad, curry sauce, and white rice. The staff teaches you how to eat it and it is so fun to toast the sesame seeds yourself and mix them with the sweet sauce. But the curry is also so yummy! I also tried my dad's combination yakisoba noodles, don't sleep on those. They're like a hug to the soul. And we couldn't leave without trying their Japanese cotton cheesecake and red bean taiyaki sundae! The cake was as yummy as it was adorable! Everything was made with care and presented beautifully. The food was bursting with flavor! Honestly, it's my new favorite restaurant and I can't believe I waited so long to try it. The only thing is- this place was dead! Like, San Antonio wya? For ramen, I recommend the "red" Aka Fuku. For udon noodles, the tofu was delicious as well if you need a vegetarian option. The atmosphere is very casual, but not to the point of feeling like a rushed lunch hour. It was not very crowded on our visit, but I noticed they probably get more to-go orders than seated service.
