French fries
Alejandra D.

It's a small hole-in the wall spot. They offered your Hawaiian favorites and Chinese food as well. I was only craving french fries, and didn't see them on the menu but I asked if they had them, and they did!!!! They were the thick steak cut fries and came out hot and salted well. My sister enjoyed her meal and it was a casual spot to catch up. Plenty of parking available.

Great Hawaiian style food! Kahlua pork, lau lau, Kalbi ribs, spam musubi! I love to have a savory lunch with 2 scoops of rice and their delicious macaroni salad! Their breakfast menu is also great, but they don't open until 11 am. Portuguese sausage (4 generous slices) 2 fried eggsc and rice! If you are interested in catering a party size tray of musubis, be sure to call ahead.

After a great dinner assembled by another quick service Hawaiian Style Restaurant last week, we were in the mood for more Hawaiian Grindz. We found Hula Wok on yelp. When we arrived, there were two San Ramon Police Officers having lunch inside. Because of the nature of their job, cops know where they can get decent hot food served in a short amount of time. While everyone's taste buds are different, we've had many more positive experiences following their lead than negative. We were greeted upon entering. It took us a minute to figure out what we wanted. Once the order was placed, we were given our drink cup to fill ourselves. I went outside to walk the dog while she stayed inside to wait for the order. Once our order was up, we left and went to the parking lot where we give Princess her monthly bath. Two scoops rice, one scoop mac salad plus our entrees filled the clamshells to the brim. So much so, that neither one of us could finish our orders. The rice was okay, same with the mac salad, although I may have enjoyed it more if it hadn't been packed with the hot foods. She got a seafood combo with Fried White Fish and Prawns. She chose Kalua Pig and Cabbage as her third protein. I got Chicken Katsu and Kalbi Ribs. All of our entrees were on point, hot and flavorful. She got tartar sauce for her fish and i got a sweet tonkatsu sauce for my Katsu. All in all, a good experience. We'll have to come by again to check out their Chinese food.

Yum! Trio of Musubi

First time eating here at a table. Food is so good and the portions are a good size - even for the mini plates. Staff is friendly. Food comes out quickly. Establishment is clean. They do a lot of take out orders. When eating here, I wish they used real plates and had real utensils. It's a challenge to eat short ribs using a plastic fork and knife. But that wont stop me from returning. We ordered: Loco Moco Mini Plate BBQ Short Rib Mini Plate Chicken Katsu Plate All Delicious!!!!

Hawaiian BBQ Chicken 烤鸡

The freshest Hawaiian I've ever had. The service was very quick and excellent, the restaurant was clean and the food was amazing. The portion size was also great for the price hands down my favorite Hawaiian I've ever had!

Some of the best customer service I've ever received, and the food was some of the best Hawaiian I've had!

Salt and pepper chicken

This is our go-to spot for Hawaiian food. Their bbq is always well- marinated and grilled properly. Today we had two mixed plates: one bbq and the other was seafood and katsu. We also ordered the spicy salt and pepper chicken as an appetizer. Food came out pretty quickly. The mixed plates were good as usual. The salt and pepper chicken wasn't as good which I attributed to a non-sriracha sauce on it. Otherwise their counter service was good, bathrooms were clean, and the food was good.

Mini Chicken Katsu

This is one of those small spots that just hits the right spots. I ordered a MINI chicken katsu. And two masubi. By far one of the best non L and L Hawaiian food spots I have ever had. The bbq chicken masubi was amazing as well!

This is our go to Hawaiian bbq place. Big portions and can call ahead your order. Chicken and other meats always flavorful. They have a lot of other dishes including Chinese items as well so you will definitely find something you'd like here. Lots of seating if you wanna eat in. Plenty of parking. Their online ordering is a little janky, some typos and so I usually just call in.

I'm back at it again! This place is in one of our usual take out rotation list. We order from here every other week. The family enjoys it! We usually order an order of bbq beef and another order of chicken katsu and that is more than enough for our family of four, 2 adults and 2 kids. Now the price has increased quite a bit since Covid but they do give you a good amount of food but man $17 for a Togo regular plate of chicken katsu with rice and Mac salad is the same cost if I enjoy a meal sitting down and receiving service. All good I'll still go and pick up my to go and bring it home and enjoy my meal at home.

So delicious and affordable! We ordered the musubi trio and a half and half chicken katsu/BBQ chicken plate for lunch and the portions were HUGE. The katsu is so crispy and tender, by far the star of the show! The BBQ chicken was flavorful as well. The spam musubi had a lot more rice in the rice to spam ratio, but still very tasty. Best takeout lunch I've had in a while!

Spam & Kimchi Fried Rice

I have ordered here many times. My ultimate favorite dish to order is their Spam & Kimchi Fried Rice! So good!! I have also ordered party trays of some of their Hawaiian food from here for a family gathering and they did a great job. Lots of food. Food was good. Everyone loved it.

They found Costco method. Food was cheap and not high quality. Went through the 5 stages of grief eating it.

So incredibly overpriced and disappointing. Their "premium" nigiri (10 pc for $75) was not premium at all. In fact, it was worse than basic/cheap nigiri you get elsewhere. All the pieces were tiny, half of them were chewy, and not at all what the menu said they were supposed to be. For instance, the "king salmon" was "sad" salmon and garnished with some kind of orange marmalade-bizarre and gross. I had to choke down the "Wagyu" nigiri because it was so chewy. I couldn't believe how bad it all was. I should have known the dinner was doomed after I ordered their "Crab amuse," which was three pieces ($18!!) of shredded IMITATION crab wrapped in the thinnest piece of tuna you've ever seen, then placed in a weird, sweet cream sauce. Even the miso soup (which I've never received with nigiri omakase, but ok) was barely room temperature and totally watered down. Sorry, Ukai. I have no idea how your reviews are so high, but you have no business operating as a "sushi" bistro or whatever you want to call yourself. Sigh.

They can sometimes get busy especially after 11am, but they'll usually let you know if there is a longer than average wait. We've tried this BBQ stand at least three times over the last few years. Every time, we get lured in by the incredible smoky aroma at the local farmers markets, forget that the food isn't good, and try it again. Tonight at the Dublin Farmers Market was our final reality check. We ordered the chicken and ribs combo, and the meat was incredibly dry, heavily charred, and so tough it felt like eating jerky. To make matters worse, they served the side of cucumber salad in a lidless plastic container wrapped only in thin foil--which predictably spilled everywhere. Save your money and bypass the enticing smell. I am officially writing this to remind myself (and everyone else) to keep walking!

They sell a ham & cheese croissant, coffees, teas, lattes, and four flavors of Japanese shaved ice called kakigori, which is the star of the show. The texture of this shaved ice is like fluffy cool softness that melts in your mouth. It is different than the traditional shaved ice and it is far from a snow cone. We ordered mango and kinako (a roasted soybean flour commonly mixed with sugar). These are large desserts! It takes time to make them since there are fresh ingredients inside. The mango was superb with little bits of fresh mango buried inside the ice. Not sickeningly sweet like the syrups most places use. My husband's had little mochi pieces mixed inside. It is common to add kinako to mochi so this was a bonus and a nice surprise. The kinako dessert was sweeter than the mango. Please know that there seems to be no a/c in this little shop but she has fans going. We went in the late afternoon so it was really uncomfortable inside. I had to leave and wait outside until the dessert was ready. It's hard to take these home as it melts fast so we sat inside to enjoy them. It was like heaven in my mouth and it cooled me down instantly. You must be patient as it takes at least 10-15 minutes for her to prepare the desserts but it is worth the wait! There is a small parking lot right in front shared with other businesses. Located right off the freeway behind Burger King.

First off, the quality and the size of the roles were fantastic! The sushi was delicious and super fresh. My wife's salmon Kama was so tender and melted in your mouth. Just to note, there's at least two other sushi places around here, with one across the street and one just down the street in the shopping center next to this one, there' no shortages of sushi spots here. However, with Senro Sushi, if you want affordability it's probably one of the more affordable ones out of all 3 in this area. The place itself is pretty big, with lots of seating inside and very spacious all around with a pretty massive sushi bar area. They are staffed well overall, as even when you go in the morning there's usually a couple of servers at least, and several sushi chefs behind the sushi bar counter area, prepping fish, cutting, making sushi and etc. The service here is pretty good overall. Haven't had any issues. The menu here is, pretty big. They have a bit of everything that's not just sushi options of course. I've tried several things here already, so let me just go through each thing. The lunch bento is probably the best bang for your buck here. Compared to the other sushi spots, you won't be able to find one as cheap as them, and the amount of stuff you get here with it is pretty good too. This bento box does come with miso soup and also a tasty salad (dressing is yummers). You will also get a California Roll with it, which is amazing because their California here is actually quite tasty. One of the better ones hands down. You have the option to choose two other things from the menu (if you choose to go with 2 items), and decide what you want. I've tried the chicken teriyaki, the chicken katsu, and the tempura. All have been good. Hands down what you should get if you're here at that time on a weekday. The Agadashi tofu was just okay. Wasn't terrible, but felt their dashi was really bland, and the tofu itself wasn't fried that well. It needs to be more crisp to avoid it just falling apart when moist. Also, the batter they used just didn't have any flavor to it at all. It was okay. The sushi roll we got was yum. I don't really have much else to say about it other than that it was good. The fish was fresh, the spicy fish was good, and the sauces blended well. Good. The chicken egg don was not great. We had actually mistakenly ordered this instead of the katsudon, and this was just awful. The chicken didn't feel well cooked, the broccoli was just straight steamed with no sauce on it. The egg was overcooked, and not even remotely fluffy for what this is supposed to be. Just overall not at all what I had expected. Overall, Senro is a great spot for affordable sushi options in this area in San Ramon. While it's not going to offer anything super flashy, which the sushi spot in the shopping center across the street may offer, it's also going to be much less of a bill here when all said and done. The bento boxes are hands down the best option here for those here on a weekday lunch. The sushi rolls here are also great. Some of the other stuff we had were just, okay, but overall, was a nice experience here right near the Crow Canyon freeway exit.
