Based on the name, I think they specialize in the Korean style fried chicken here, but the menu is pretty large and includes lots of Korean comfort food classics like tofu soup and bibimbap. The service here is friendly and on our visit, it gave us the vibe that we were being helped by aunties or family friends. I think the fried chicken here is great - I've had takeout from this spot when visiting family and ordered some during our recent meal when I dined here with my niece and nephew. It's flavorful and super crispy. Just a delight and I've pretty much enjoyed all the flavors I've had. I was cold when we came here for dinner, so I ordered the spicy tofu soup, which really hit the spot. The meal here when dining in is served with a great selection of banchan as well. This was one of my favorite places for fried chicken but today was a complete disappointment. We ordered the yangnyeom fried chicken, mild flavor and I really can't believe what I'm saying but it was just fried chicken covered in ketchup! The taste was horrible, even my kids were asking why did it taste like that. I told the waitress and she didn't do anything about it. Then we ordered a soybean stew and they brought us this thick hummus like soup that didn't look appetizing and the flavor was just plain soybean purée. They're located right next to the new Grocery Outlet in Dublin in the same plaza as Casa Orozco. Crispy Fried with Honey Butter (half order $16.99): Oy, honey butter is underrated on fried chicken??? Especially with a dusting of cheddar? Cmon. This one was my favorite! Crispy Real Garlic Chicken (half order $16.99): This one was tasty but didn't blow me outta the water like the honey butter. I liked that the drumsticks were huge and meaty! And cooked all the way through lol Crispy Yangnyeom Chicken (half order $16.99): I liked the sauce! Didn't feel haphazardly brushed on, good amount of chicken for the boneless option. Not too much breading so I felt like it was worth it! All three orders came taped up with a side of cubed radish. Oh man! Yes yes! This is soul food with real Korean "Seoul" (soul)! Imagine KFC but sit down, serves a variety of beer, wine, soju, or non-alcoholic drinks, a deep Korean "healthier" menu, kimchi, rice and with Korean hospitality. And if fried chicken is not your thing, you can request korean bbq and everything that goes with it. The service is fast friendly, and simply hospitable. People are friendly and proud to serve what they serve. The place has lots of seating so its excellent for large parties, couples, or even solo. I went here by myself and and enjoyed a drink, half order of Crispy Honey Butter Fried Chicken with spicy seasoning, and kimchi fried rice with an order of pickled cucumber. Combo fried chicken - cheddar. I wondered the same thing, but I'm happy that my curiosity got the better of me to try it out. My brother who had never tried cheddar and was a butter guy thought it would be fun to try. Simply put it adds a cheddar powder to it which amazingly adds to the already delicious fried chicken. The sauces are good, and can be optioned to be hot, but honestly cheddar or butter is king. The amount of food is very good for the price, at first glance $16.99 for half and $32.99 for full I was like how much food do you get!? And happily it is actually a lot. We couldn't get through the hot but we finished the cheddar half. We came here around 5:30pm and were the only ones here. The place is spacious and has variety of Korean food options. You can get Korean BBQ if you want. We were a bit confused when we entered as it doesn't look like a typical Vons. It looks like some other type of Asian restaurant that just happens to sell Von's chicken. I was at the mall and when I was heading home, it was lunch time and I was craving chicken and rice when I remembered Von's Chicken was in the same center as Casa Orozco. I thought I would give this place a try. I walked up and the area is blocked by a cart so all of your orders, check in and pick ups are right there. Luckily I was the first one in because it started to fill up afterwards. Being the novice I am, I almost ordered a half chicken when I really wanted a plate. They do offer a lunch special but since there was no indoor menu, I had to walk outside and look at the sandwich board in front of the restaurant. I decided to go with the Crunchy Fried Chicken with rice. I paid and was told it will take 15 minutes to prepare. It was close to noon and I knew I was going to cut it close to make my 1:00 pm meeting. I decided to wait for my order and observe the customers coming in. I overheard that it's strongly recommended to make reservations for dining in. You will get in if it's not busy, but it's preferred that you make a reservation. For those dining in, there's a choice between the Korean menu or the chicken menu. Another option is to consider Door Dash. There was a driver who showed up twice to pick up orders for his customers before I even received my order! I may do that next time to skip the 15 minute in person wait. I did get my order with 30 minutes to spare! I have to admit this was really good and I would do it again. It is on the pricey side, so it will be on occasion for me. Overall, I'm glad I got the lunch special. A half chicken will run you about $15, while a whole may cost $30. read more

Ordered some side dishes as well... ordered the quail eggs, fish cakes and vegetable japchae. All were tasty but nothing special.. I was SUPER shocked to find that those 3 items added up to be $53!!! Come to find out the japchae was $19...$19!!! Never in my life have I ever seen that price for vegetable japchae... I was surprised! Was more shocked at the fact that they listed it for $10.99 but rang me up for $19. I felt scammed. So here are some advice.. get the lunch specials to go, and ALWAYS double check the prices. I am a big fan of the honey butter chicken here at Vons. Definitely a one of kind taste/flavor. I've been to the Vons in concord, but this was my first time at Vons Dublin. This is a combined Vons with another Korean bbq restaurant. They serve the Vons menu, then also a menu for their kbbq selection.. The chicken is so crispy and not dry. They also give pretty big drums. If you get all drums, a half order comes with about 5 large drum sticks. Honey butter never fails to impress me. I'm a big fan of Korean fried chicken so seeing a Vons finally open near me made me super hyped to try it, especially after receiving so many recommendations for their chicken. I ordered Tuesday for dinner via their online website and it was ready in 20 minutes. My order consisted of their Crispy Yang Nyum Chicken, Honey Butter Chicken, Honey Butter Fries, and Onion Rings. The onion rings were also great - well battered, crispy, and stayed together with every bite! Not only that, but I loveee the honey butter chips you get at the Korean supermarkets, so both the fries (the fries were bomb!!) and the chicken were easy favorites for me. I was surprised by how crispy they both were even after a long car ride back home. The Yangnyeom was okay in my opinion, but it's still well worth a try. Note too: I ordered a half order of wings (an additional $1) for both the honey butter and yangnyeom wings. Half orders for wings consist of 10 wings per order. But it was tasty without being too salty. - Crispy Yang Nyum chicken: my spice tolerance was screaming, but the flavor of this sauce was BOMB. I kept wanting to eat it even though it was a bit too spicy for me. A painful yet enjoyable experience. Every piece of chicken was nicely coated with sauce for this one. I usually got to here and bonchon but this is closer to me and lately this beats bonchon to me because the wings are meaty and taste really fresh. Now this one is way more closer to me that actually give generous amount of chicken in every order. They coat each chicken with plenty of seasoning so you get the right amount of flavor with every bite. I love my Korean fried chicken spiceyyyyy so I would always get their yangnyeom with the spiciest level. I tell you, even though it burns your mouth (but no the type where it gets numb and you don't taste anything anymore), the flavor is there and you will still enjoy every bits of it. I like ordering online so I just pick it up from there, drive back home and enjoy it. Like I've said, their chicken is pricey but you always get awesome quantity.
