My first time I went into the market decided to buy the local shrimp within 40 minutes after eating it. I got the worst headache on earth. I've had it all day. I'm curious what additives they are putting into the shrimp if any. Won't be getting the shrimp again for sure I've never had this happen to me for eating shrimp. My first time visiting this location was amazing! This visit, not so much. The food portions are about half of what they use to serve and prices have raised slightly. I understand the current state of our country has caused this. Also there's a $1 surcharge to substitute sides that are the same price - fries, coleslaw, etc. service was amazing!! Food was just ok. I ordered the golden tile fish. It was bland and a very small portion for about $18. I had to pay to have fries with my sandwich instead of coleslaw. Odd being that most sandwiches come with fries - lol! The ambiance was clean and well maintained. read more

We had been to Hull's almost a year ago and somehow never got back (with the exception of buying fresh seafood to grill; they will also steam shrimp for you FYI!) and finally went again for lunch today. Since it's red snapper season hubs and I both got the fresh red snapper (we had it blackened, Aldo available grilled or fried) and it was SO delicious! Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked! I started with a house salad - fine but nothing remarkable. Hubs had clam chowder and really enjoyed it! Entrees come with hushpuppies - they were a tad too heavy on the grease for our taste; Sides of potatoes and black beans were good. We went on a busy night even with reservations we waited a little while. It was worth it as the food was excellent. The waiters and waitresses shared the duty of taking care of us which was a great service to have. The food was spectacular. We shared roasted brussel sprouts with onion jam - all I can say was wonderful and flavorful. The beef medallions were cook well and the lobster and scalloped were perfect. My significant other had the oysters and said they were fresh and tasted good. The restaurant is right on the water with the great view. Highly recommend. read more

This is one of our favorite restaurants! The clam chowder and crab gumbo are excellent starters. The grouper and rock shrimp are both delicious and the grilled veggies and hushpuppies are also good choices. We always dine inside, but outdoor seating is also available. Parking can be a challenge during busier times (small lot on front and in back). Highly recommend this one! read more

1st time eating there. First the food was very very good. Service was perfect. Prices were better than expected, what we ordered was worth what we paid. But what set Hulls apart was the service. Hanna our server was AWSOME we ask about the Cole slaw she brought out some for us to taste it was very good. She explained things o the menu, that actually saved us money. Hull's has the very best hush puppies anywhere, perfectly browned with bits of sweet red pepper and corn inside. I had broiled scallops with slaw and squash, the squash was nicely seasoned and the slaw was coarse cut and tasty. Hubby had fried oysters with red potatoes and black beans. The oysters were large and perfectly crispy, from the Chesapeake. Service was adequate. We sat outside on the large patio, fans and misters kept it fairly comfortable. I frequent Hull's seafood and sometimes buy from their market. Last 2 times I was there the food was terrible. Went in with a party of 8, 4 of the meals were not eatable and the meal was still close to $300.00. I am a local and refuse to go back. It's not the same as it once was. A seafood "go to" in Ormond Beach. It hard to find a bad restaurant around here. So competition is pretty tough. If we want a consistently fresh seafood dinner Hull's is it. We usually have the Chesapeake Bay Oysters. Tried the Pemaquid: life changing. Never eaten a raw oyster without a cracker. A cracker overpowers the Pemaquid's delicate and mild flavor. I have celiac disease and I am extremely allergic to gluten. I have eaten at Hulls for years and never had an issue. I recently ordered a takeout of blackened cod minus the hush puppies. I talked to the employee about being care and needing gluten free. I got so, so sick. We had to pull over on interstate 4 so I could throw up. I barely made it to my hotel in Orlando, and then I was sick for the night! I understand that sometimes cross contamination can occur but when I called the next day and spoke to a manager, he reviewed what I ordered and said it was all gluten free. I told him I was not out to condemn the employee, and I did not believe it was done intentionally. But, I felt that one he should've apologized, and two he should've said he would speak to the employees about being more careful about cross-contamination. He just told me next time I come in to speak to a manager so they can be careful and put it on a separate broiling platter. I have to say I was disappointed because normally their fish is delicious and I love this place. I don't know if I can ever eat there again. My goal in calling was to make sure that he impressed upon the staff to be careful and I wouldn't want anyone else to get as sick as I did, it ranked among one of the worst sicknesses I have had with getting gluten by accident. read more

Very good food at a fair price. Really loved the shark and gator bites, rock shrimp, and grouper. Was well taken care of by our server, and our drinks were never empty. The back patio was a nice place to sit, as it had fans to keep you cool and it never got too loud. Wonderful time we ate here pretty much every night of our vacation! read more

We been here on several occasions with our group of 6 to 8 riders during our Saturday Harley ride. We love to come here and even though they are crowded there seems to be a table available outside which is fine with us. Today I had a special treat they had Wahoo as the fish of the day which I love. Wahoo is a very mild fish and is great blackened. So I had the Wahoo Fish Sandwich with fries and a cup of Clam Chowder which is always good at Hull's. Our waitress, Abbey was excellent actually she was too nice which made me uncomfortable but was enjoyable. She was one who really deserves a large tip. Anyway the food was awesome, price was fair and the service great. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Will definitely return. read more

Love this place! It's a must stop every time we are in town! The clam chowder is the best i have ever had!

We went to Hulls Seafood restaurant last night. The food was absolutely fantastic and our server Tiffany was extremely attentive to our needs. If your looking for the freshest seafood at reasonable prices then this is the place to go. This is not a fancy place and you can go here in shorts, T-shirt and saddles. They have complementary valet parking behind the restaurant. We will be going back again soon. We ordered the Ahi Tuna appetizer and it was huge. That alone could have been a meal. We also ordered the Buffalo style shrimp which was very good and not too spicy. I did not get pictures of the appetizers but take my word they were outstanding. For the four of us we ordered way too much food and had to take a lot home with us , along with $5 key lime pie slices for dessert. read more

This was out first trip to Hull's Seafood, but not our last. We had friends visiting over the Christmas holiday week who had heard great things from other guests at their hotel. While it was a bit cool outside,we were very comfortable inside the auxiliary seating. The wait for a table was about 20 minutes, the service was great, the restaurant very clean and well lighted. The noise level was not to high to prevent easy table conversation. And the food was excellent! Parking is available and it's not too far to walk from the city parking at the library if necessary (we did). read more

Always great food, if you like Calamari they serve the best I've ever had. We make I point to visit once a week , the staff are the best.

Very friendly staff. Good parking, good location very close to the beach. Pretty busy and had a great menu selection. Loved that they had a lot of fresh caught options with gosh of the day. They can cook your fish any way you want it so that is always awesome as well. Flavors were a bit bland which is why I didn't do five stars. Just really needed salt. A local resident told us about this place and he recommended it so highly we had to give it a try. We were not disappointed, the seafood was fresh and delicious; plus Icaro, our Server, provided polite and friendly service that enhanced our dinning experience. We enjoyed 3 Fried Oysters appetizers, a Red Snapper Plate, Fish-n-Chips, and Crab Cakes. Also enjoyed a Shipwrecked cocktail and a couple of Extra Spicy Bloody Marys. We were visiting Daytona Beach (Wyndham Ocean Walk resort) Hulls has the Ambiance of a restaurant behind a fabulous fresh seafood market (( which it is )) just makes you feel welcomed! My steamed clams were Clean, hot served with melted butter..( not clarified ) a dozen steamed clams for $9.99 Excellent price ! I ordered the broiled scallops dinner which comes with 2 sides, mine were coleslaw & a cup of clam chowder.. which I didn't eat because it was very thick and the texture was off putting for me. My husband had a cup of clam chowder also and said yes it thick but it has flavor ! I had asked for no seasoning on my scallops and they came out with a little bit.. I could eat them but old bay and I DO NOT Get along .. overall we all enjoyed our dinners ! read more
