The fries were clearly cooked at the wrong temperature and were soggy. The fish dip didn't have much actual fish, but it was tasty. The grouper sandwich is made of fish sticks and the breading isn't great. The tartar sauce is decent, but needs more flavor. One of my party members was very happy with the house Cabernet. The waitress was excellent and knowledgeable. It's a nice view and a very clean restaurant. I will never return. There's much better fish dip, fries, and grouper sandwiches elsewhere. read more

Excellent! They have a variety of martinis. Right on the beach, close to the pier. The clam chowder was so tasty! We got 1lb crab legs for $23 (Sunday special 11a-4p) and surprisingly not too packed. Came to Flagler 22 years ago for our 20th anniversary and found this place. Loved the coconut shrimp then I think we ate here 3 times on that trip! Wasn't even sure it would still be there (found out new ownership in 2020 I believe) but guess what? Coconut shrimp as good as ever! We also had the clams, clam chowder, crab bisque. All excellent! Not much to look at on the outside so don't let looks deceive you!! read more

Sister's lunch while walking around the pier area. It was warm out so we were looking for inside seating and seafood. The fish taco's and tuna burger were mouth watering. The New England clam chowder was a bit thin but very tasty. The broiled haddock was not as flakey as we wished it would be and the fried scallops were too watery. I don't know if they were short handed or just run one server normally but she was overwhelmed and the service was not the greatest. We didn't receive drink refills, got charged for extra sauces we never received and was basically ignored. The hostess was a wonderful young lady, it was too bad she wasn't the server. read more

We stopped here during our first night of vacation, and not only was the food really good, but we probably have the best waitress I've met in a lonnnngggg time. She read everyone's mind on what they needed next and was very attentive. Some of their apps were pretty standard but all of their seafood entrees were the stars of the meal. read more

Came to Flagler Beach for a quick weekend trip for my stepdaughter's 18th bday. We were within walking distance to The Anchor and decided to have dinner there. We were NOT disappointed! Tonight we decided to tryout The Anchor. We were seated immediately and our server Brian took our drink order which was margaritas. He brought us ice waters and shortly after our margaritas. The margaritas were very good. We then placed our dinner order my husband ordered the Trigger fish blackened and fries, I ordered fried shrimp with onion rings. We also received salads with our dinners. The decorations in the restaurant are very beachy and beautiful! We were seated where we are able to look at the ocean. Been here a couple times and always enjoy it. The service was slow this visit so I took a star away. The food was surprisingly good. I ordered the shrimp Parmesan which I normally would not do in a non-Italian restaurant. But I have to say it was excellent. The sauce that came with it was very fresh and light and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and very tasty. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. My husband got the filet mignon and he said it was very good as well. What a wonderful meal!!! Our waitress Elsa was friendly and recommended several entrees. We had the calamari which was a nice start. Drinks were very good. Rum runner, spring spritz and the show stopper the chili mojito. So good we had two. Our family ordered haddock, stuffed flounder , the seafood pasta and triggerfish. My pasta and my husband's triggerfish were perfect. The others said their meals were good too. You get a salad and side. Order the Greek salad. It is amazing! This was our first visit, but we will definitely be back to try the whole belly clams. read more

The Anchor is located directly across from the beach which gives beautiful views of the ocean and surfers. Sadly the day I visited it was about to rain so everyone was clearing out. I ordered carry out because I didn't want to get caught in the rain. It took about 10 mins for my food to come out and by the time I got back to my hotel it was still piping hot. I would have preferred my scallops cooked a little longer but everything was seasoned to perfection. I'm always skeptical about ordering lobster tails because many places overcook them. However this one was cooked perfectly. I will be back when I'm in the area. read more

We were really excited to try this place as we just moved to the area. There was only one server and it got much busier after we arrived. It would be two stars as our burgers had no seasoning, fries under cooked and onion rings were watery. The server did come by a couple of times to make sure we were okay but she was slammed and really not enough to tell her if our experience. The hostess was trying to help out and when she was clearing our table asked if everything was good, I started to tell her our thoughts but she was already walking away. When we left the bar was packed, and I must say my cucumber lime martini was excellent. Maybe a good place for drinks...not so much food, or we just ordered the wrong thing. read more

We came here as a party of 8 with 1 child and 1 infant. We called for reservation an hour before and they accommodated our group during a peak hours on a busy Saturday night. Our waitress was attentive and amazing and the food was incredible across the board. The coconut shrimp, the crab legs, even the appetizer salads were yummy but be warned the portions are HUGE. I was hankering for class so I ordered the clams with linguini in garlic sauce. Lots of little tender class. Nice big serving of pasta and lots of butter garlic sauce. I also tried the Orange Crush cocktail which was perfectly orangey so I couldn't just taste the alcohol. read more

My husband and lifelong friend, enjoying GREAT seafood on a chilly evening. Out friend, coming from Texas, only wanted fried shrimp with tartare sauce. It made me want shrimp so I ordered the Stuffed Shrimp with the zucchini and squash side. That's the other picture you see. I must say it was AMAZING! The portions were perfect. The service was wonderful. My friend from Texas was satisfied and very happy with everything that he ordered from the Buffalo shrimp appetizer to the blackened shrimp dinner. This place says it's open on Yelp and on their door displaying days and hours they're open, but they were closed. There was no sign on the door saying that they were closed. We had to walk here half a mile. Not cool. Be responsible and say you're closed where you advertise regularly. read more

After researching places to eat and specifically wanting crab legs, we decided to try The Anchor. We got there and were told they were out of crab legs, and also oysters. We decided to stay and try other things. The stuffed flounder was just so-so. Lobster was a little underdone and underwhelming. Vegetables tasteless and way too hard. Garlic butter noodles just oily and not good. Tea was very weak, more like sugar water. The service was ok. View across from the beach was nice. Will not go back. read more

Get the crab bisque. When we went, it held weight with some of the better tastings I've had in Maryland. Service was efficient and friendly. Our server was great with recommendations when we were split between the soup and the stuffed shrimp or crab options. Both of his recommendations were great. This local place with its family feel is a great place to go an eat. The service is great an the food has that yummy comfort feel. They have a wide selection of food to choose from an great specials for lunch an dinner. The portions are just the right amount an the prices are good. Anchor has a great view of the ocean to make it even better. They have planet of seating so no worry about being cramped. An it's always very clean. It's right in the heart of town so you can eat an then go walk the local shops or even get an ice cream at the waffle cone. I have had several entrées and appetizers an they are all very good. Tuesday's the special for the fish which is very good. Most locals eat here so you k ow your in good company an the food is great. So stop by an have a bite to eat you won't regret it. read more

We found this gem of a restaurant on a date night. We were disappointed to go to one of our favorite places in the area that had gone down in service and food choices. With a little research on Yelp, we found The Anchor just down the street. We were pleasantly surprised at the fresh food here and had great service from Natasha. We had the smoked salmon dip with house made chips, surf n turf, and coconut shrimp. We also had two fabulous cocktails featuring summer berries. Thanks for a fabulous evening!
