While I'm sure the boys in the shop enjoyed the musical selections, I did not. These boys from the shop are boys from the hood. I'm told by reading information from the business, the owner enjoys playing "good" music; I beg to differ. In John Pinette lingo, "I say, nay, nay." The speakers, obviously prized for their clarity, carried the rhymes and rhythms of vulgarity. The demeaning social vernacular of words I would not use directed towards anyone, used to speak about women, or repeated racial slurs made me crawl under the barber's cape. The last "song" that was playing had the lyric "leave your panties on my nightstand." Sometimes, you have to wait a while (1-2 hours) especially walk in on a weekend, but that reflects the overall popularity of the place because of the time and quality that each barber puts into your cut. Open area for seating. Wait time was instant (given the time of day I went in). The haircut itself went by smoothly. No botches, roughhousing, or issues. My only complaint, which knocks this from a 5 to a 4, is the payment options. It's cash or Zelle, with the payment going completely towards the barber. I found it strange, but thought nothing of it.
