First thing.. if you can avoid this place, do it. There are plenty of places in West Covina/Covina you can go to. I recently moved to Covina and this is the first Nail place I have gone to.. I was hoping for a pleasant experience in the hopes to make this one my go to place. I called on Saturday morning to see if they had availability and a gentleman answered the phone and said "yes if I can get there asap, they can do manicure and pedicure". I get there in like 15 mins, not 5 because I still had to get ready, that's on me. When I get there he tells me he now has availability for a manicure only, which I'm totally okay with. I took longer than I had said. I was just glad they took me in. Probably 20 mins in with my manicure he came and said they now have availability for a pedicure, which I was happy for, saving me the trip to go somewhere else after... Kathy did a great job with my manicure. As soon as another lady started with my pedicure I told her I had an ingrown nail in my right toe and I would appreciate it if she could get it out. I could see her trying to get it out and I see she pulls a piece of skin and I am thinking she will stop and cut it as soon as she takes it out, instead she keeps pulling my skin to the point where she peels off the front of my skin. A think layer by the way (as you can see in the picture). The gentleman that answers the phone walks around and he did noticed the lady had hurt my toe and didn't said anything. Looks like he is the supervisor or something, I thought he would say something when I was paying, but he didn't. I didn't want to argue because I already knew I wasn't going to come back. I should have taken the advice from one of the bad reviews they have here. Too late to regret it now. It's unfortunate that I paid $98 and walked out with my skin peeled off. I wanted to share my experience in the hopes that this won't happen to someone else. Save yourself time, money, and a bad experience. Go somewhere else. Not worth it. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately I was very disappointed with my experience. I came in for a fill and a simple French tip. My nails were previously done elsewhere, but they were already almond-shaped and I wanted to maintain that shape. During the filing process, the technician filed very aggressively and actually cut two of my fingers. Despite explaining the shape I wanted, I never got the result I was asking for. The French tips were the biggest disappointment. They looked uneven and already appeared days old despite being freshly done. Throughout the appointment, I respectfully pointed out areas I wanted adjusted, but each correction seemed to make the lines thicker or more uneven. I felt like my feedback wasn't being heard. The appointment took nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes for a very simple design. As the technician became visibly frustrated, I eventually said the nails were fine because I felt that was the best result I was going to get and I just wanted to leave. When I explained that I needed to go, she still turned the drill back on and started reworking a nail instead of respecting my time. I had to leave to pick up my son from basketball practice, and I shouldn't have had to justify that. The entire experience felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I understand that French tips can be challenging to perfect, but I expected better communication, more attention to detail, and respect for my feedback. Unfortunately, I left unhappy with my nails and wishing I had spent my money elsewhere. I would have preferred a refund so I could have them corrected by another technician. read more

I had a very upsetting experience at this salon and want to warn others. My mother is 83 years old, and after her visit with Amy , her thumb was visibly bruised. During our pedicures, both of us were cut to the point of bleeding -- there was even blood on our toes and on our shoes when we left. This is not normal and is completely unacceptable. It raises serious concerns about both technique and sanitation, especially when working on elderly clients who require extra care. I contacted the salon spoke with Bobby to resolve this and requested a full refund,Bobby was no help he is quick to get off phone , advised he has to contact his lawyer advised he was all about customer s but clearly is not the situation has not been handled appropriately. Please be cautious, especially if you are bringing an older family member. No one should leave a nail salon injured. I have filed a complaint with the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. read more

I had an appointment set for a pedicure and fill for acrylic and i was sat down for pedicure and then moved to do my fill for acrylics only with a new male nail tech. As soon as i sat down the nail tech smelled like cigarettes and alcohol. He started doing my nail shape and it was all uneven and not what I wanted at all. I told the guy in the front and he and the nail tech started arguing with my mom and I saying that it's what I asked for. The nail shape was horrible and the man in the front kept trying to make jokes out of the situation like if it was okay. I then requested my nails to be removed and I left with no nails done or pedicure done. I didn't appreciate the service provided by the new nail tech and the way it's run in the front. My mom and I left very upset and will not be returning. Also, prior to this the man in the front asked personal questions about my life and asked if I had a boyfriend that made me feel uncomfortable because he kept trying to touch my shoulder and inappropriate jokes. Prior to this I was a loyal customer for a year and I will miss Kim, Katelyn, Jimmy, and all of the other nail techs because they always did an amazing job. read more

A lot has changed in the past 5 years. Even though there is a variety of color options, the colors themselves don't always match once it's on the actual nail & a lot of times the colors I want they don't have anymore and they try to push a color on me that I don't like. Today was another one of those times. Me and my mom both wanted dark brown and immediately the lady gave a disapproval gesture. She then said me and my mom had to choose a different color because im assuming they can't work on us both at the same time with the same nail polish color. So I chose one from one palette and she chose one from another - they looked the same and the nail tech said they are the same. In the end the color I chose they didn't have and the one my mom chose did not look like it at all! So we had to choose different colors. This was disappointing because we were set on those. It's be nice to know what colors they have available before choosing and having our hearts set on them. But I digress.... since they didn't have the dark color option we wanted, I decided to go with white polish toe nails & for my hands I wanted a natural/nude/light color & chose one but the nail tech didn't like my white polish idea & she gave me a palette to look at the colors she liked as the natural ones, and pushed about 4-5 colors on to me to choose from & not the one I wanted on my toes and nails.... So I decided on the baby pink natural one for my toes and nails - this is one of the colors she suggested - but guess what?!? In the end she put the 2nd color I originally wanted on hands on my toes and put the baby pink natural one (she pushed on me) on my nails - so they mismatch. The colors are pretty and all to look at overall but I could have sworn she said they would match & they would be the same for my toes and nails. I didn't say anything in the end because they were already done and my mom was already complaining about her legs and back hurting from sitting on the chair too long and also from the lady not letting her put her feet down to ease the pain because she wanted the toe nails to dry on my mom in that position & for them not to mess up. My mom also didn't get the color she wanted and the one she settled for was off, it didn't look like the one the palette. Me and my mom got basic pedicures and gel manicures. When I got my pedicure the lady massaged me and lotioned me up but for my mom her nail tech didn't do that on her legs only on her hands and she was so sad about it. I told her I'd say something but my mom said not to since at that point it would be forced and wouldn't want it anymore. The work they do is okay. The nail techs overall are nice. Calling to set an appt is great and you get seen at the time you're set. The nails do look pretty but for my past few visits the last 5 years have been off, the color selection issue is not something I want to keep coming back to. The gel nail polish comes off on the corners within a week and doesn't last. The consistency in the work they do is clearly not the same across all nail techs. read more

This is an update updated from review from my last visit almost 2 years ago. Now granted this is my fault for coming back to the nail salon, but it was short notice and I rarely get them done so I figured maybe they're reading the reviews. Surprisingly I was able to get in very quickly. There wasn't many people in today. If you don't do the additional services that they recommend, they will do your services quickly and get you out. I was asked three times if I wanted gel and I said no and each time I said no, it seemed as though they continue to be annoyed. My pedicure was fine, but my full set was rushed. It wasn't busy enough in the nail salon for it to be a quick service. My cuticles weren't cut, there is an uneven layer of polish, and I had to ask her if she was putting gel polish on although I already said four times I did not want it. Turns out she was going to use gel because it's an additional charge. Usually, they'll put an oil on your cuticle, but again the service was very rushed, and nothing like that was completed. The technician also cut my cuticle and caused it to bleed. The only decent thing about this spot is the movies the put on. read more

I always enjoy our conversations. My feet always feel soft after visiting her. Her massages are also very relaxing. They have a wide selection of colors. I normally get regular polish. 0/10 Update with pictures!!! Not even 2 weeks and the tips of my nails have chipped and cracked. The nail is vhipping at the cuticle and base too. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE work and quality. I'm so sad!!! I made an appointment with a specific artist because she came highly recommended. When I got there they sat me quickly and got to work. Halfway though my service, the salon calls me... Im literally on the chair next to the reception desk. So I just wave and say "Hi. That's my number you're calling." She asks me if I booked with "X", to which I reply yes. Guess who WASNT the tech working on my pedicure?!?! At this point, I didn't care. The tech doing my pedicure was doing a lovely job. My manicure, however, was not great. As you can see from the pictures, it was not a professional level job. She started filing and then asked me about shape AFTER she shaped them She was very kind and gentle, but these nails are awful. I definitely won't be back for $91. The staff were all very kind. No one tried to make conversation with me though. The language barrier is strong, which i dont mind, but it definitely left me feeling like just another number.. I've been coming here for years, in highschool id get my prom nails done, hoco, casual nails everything. I've never had a problem with any of the girls they're super sweet , but after today I most likely will never come back. Jimmy was assigned to do my nails and from the beginning he was so rude. He was extremely rough with my hands and just rude to me in general and seemed upset the whole time. When we got to the design, I showed him what I wanted and in the photo was his work( sorry for horrible quality i wanted to sneak a pic) I don't like confrontation but I had to tell him because they looked nothing like the photo. When I told him if I could change it he got visibly upset with attitude and started being more rough with my hands. I was in the seat genuinely wanting to cry, this whole situation was very uncomfortable to be in and I didn't have a way out. I was super excited for these nails, especially since I'm going on a much anticipated Disney cruise, and I just wanted something that fit the occasion. Great service, especially from the receptionist Kathy, and Ivy, my nail technitian. Inside the nail salon is so beautiful and aesthetic, with flowers, photos of flower, and actual plants inside! It has a balance, it is comfortable, clean, and spacious. I got to do a walk in where I luckily got helped in a short wait and a relaxing, comfortable welcoming environment. Kathy helped me look at the options of gel nails, and their variety is so impressive and abundant. Kathy and Ivy were very professional and kind individuals who were amazing at their work. They totally made my day so much better. The price was very affordable for a gel manicure. I wish I had found this gem sooner because they have a cute stamp card! Ivy is so great at doing nails, my cuticles were gently cleansed with the special trimming tool, she was so accurate, fast, yet elegant at painting, and I didn't feel rushed even though she was so smooth and quick, it just was a beautiful work of art the way she did her work! I totally admire her and am grateful for this amazing service. I felt so happy through the entire process and enjoyed talking with both ladies here. Ivy is definitely an expert at her work, and the hand and forearm massage was so wonderful, too. She gives better massages from some massage therapists I have gotten massages from. There is a clean and fully stocked restroom in the back. There is plenty of parking! I can't wait to come back for more. Thank you for the wonderful service, Kathy and Ivy! All it takes is that one encounter to make someone say "never go here" but I have been coming here for years I never thought I would experienced this kind of disrespect with a booked appointment. I have been coming here for years with Kathleen who does an amazing job. However, booking appointments are completely different. I wanted to schedule the latest appointment since I travel from Orange County in traffic to get there, and the guy I spoke with said the latest he can do is 530. So I confirmed with him before hanging up at least 3 times then the next day rushed there in traffic to be there by 530. Then another lady (not the same man I made an appointment with) accused me of missing my appointment at 5:15 just because they decided to take someone else and told me to come back "in about an hour." And the lady who said "no, you were at 5:15. You missed it. It's in the book here," continued to have zero respect and told me to come back later, "when kathleen is done." Like I have nothing else to do when I booked this appointment at this specific time? Along with treating a customer like nobody/just another person in line, this "missed appointment" was complete BS after I repeated myself on the phone at least 3 times for 530. And usually, if there is ANY doubt whatsoever in customers "missing" their appointment at this business, they give you a call at that scheduled time to confirm if you are still coming. And I didn't even receive a call at my supposedly missed "5:15" time if that was they case... They just took someone else and BLAMED someone who PLANNED THIS APPOINTMENT in their weekly schedule that they missed it! And to come back later with no absolute time on top of that. Not happy at all after traveling over one hour to stay committed to this business. It has been my nail salon home after the most stressful times. But absolutely NOT worth it for this kind of service. I don't live nearby but due to a car service at the local volkswagen dealer... i found this little spot. Called and made appointment. Plenty of parking, huge shaded area in front of store ... and covered with additional protection to keep things cool. Fans flowing and tons of stations yo get all ur mani/pedi/wax needs met. All staff were wearing masks, gloves, using plastic liners AND also making sure their guests were also using masks. Plastic dividers were up even though we were outside. Staff was literally pouring water in pedi tubs from a pitcher of water. The staff was working hard to keep things hygienic and safe. Needless to say i felt very safe and relaxed. I had a very needed self care morning. I had not been to a nail salon since March due to Covid19 shut downs. I really appreciated the extra work and extra effort made by staff. Such as walking each bucket of water used for pedi out of tent and discarding waters. And, felt each deserved a fabulous tip for making my experience so wonderful. I returned to pick up my car and drove home. But, not before making an appointment for two weeks. It will definitely be worth the 40 minute drive. It was about 86 degrees out but while getting my nails done .. it felt like a pleasant mid 70. read more

Tucked away in a little place and what a wonderful surprise I found in West Covina and on a spur of the moment visit. So attentive towards their costumers, full ac blasting, a tv to enjoy while you relax and a wall full of plentiful shades of to choose from. The work is fantastic, clean place and just an overall nice experience as a whole. The prices are very fair as well. I have to say that I would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area. Oh and just as I got ready to leave I smudged my toe. And at some other places it's such an issue and the face making comes with it. Not here. I've gone to this nail salon a couple of times now when I've been in the area and overall it's been a pretty okay experience. The service is okay, the ladies here have always been nice and polite, & the place has looked pretty well maintained. However the salon is on the smaller side and finally, what brought me to leave a 2 star review was my last pedicure appt I had here... I came here with some coworkers on a Monday to let off some steam & get my pedi done right before my birthday. I always do a gel pedicure so before this appt my polish/toe nails were already in need of a fill/pedi. With that being said, I'm suuuuper OCD about germs & I also ALWAYS check the state of my toe nails before getting a fresh new gel polish because I wanna avoid any green nails/fungus. So during this particular appointment my nails were GOOD. I got my bday pedi done & went about my merry way..or so I thought lol. After a month of having the pedi I got done here I soaked the gel polish off my toes myself & when I removed the gel polish one of my big toe nails had green on it!!! I was LIVID & also felt so gross...so I cut out as much of the green from my toe nail as I could but now I was left for a stub of a nail. Tragic. Mind you it was still summer at this time so I could NOT go around with a messed up toe nail LOL. Moral of the story: I'm more than sure this nail salon was the source of the green toe nail I got because looking back it was PACKED when I went it for my pedi & I also don't remember them opening up new tools for my pedi so that must've done it. Went in today for a signature pedicure which starting price I guess is $35 & then I got gel so that was another $12 & then another up charge for French tip which brought my total to $57 which I was a little upset about but whatever . The lady who did my pedicure cut my right thumb toe crooked at a slant compared to the left big toe & the French tip on the right is at an arch compared to the left big toe . She also cut me & made me bleed while doing the nail cut down & since I got the signature pedicure it comes with hot towels & hot stone massage after getting the hot towels out she didn't air it out or anything prior to putting it on my legs & burned me with the towels that I had to say "ouch that's hot" . & then she frantically apologized but overall my experience here wasn't the greatest but I will say what sets them apart from other nail salons is they use new tools on everyone & discard the soiled tools used so for that I give them a 10/10 since most nail salons don't use new tools on everyone so for cleanliness I will come back read more

Came by for a bestie nail spa day! This location is close to her home & super convenient off the freeway. I've been here before & had a good experience. They were running a little behind even though we made appointments a few days prior. We just chilled for a bit in the car. The salon is really clean and organized, everyone was socially distancing with dividers between customers & techs. They have 6 raised seats for customers getting regular Pedis and 2 for massage chairs. When getting Manis, you are seated in a row, like a counter so other customers are next to you. During this time, there were empty spaces next to you. There's a huge wall of nail colors to choose from or they provide the rounds of pre-painted colors on the wheel. My tech was good for the most part, but I needed to remind her to file down the corners as she left a few of them super squared, like 90° angles. I'm a bit picky how my nails look, she did a good job, but not as detail oriented as my usual tech (whom I love!). Parking can be limited as there are many other retailers/restaurants in this plaza. We found one right in front so we lucked out. Service from everyone was great. Recommended. read more

She's always so nice to me and remembers me even after two years. They have a variety of gel polish options to choose from, whether it's just color or glitter. Also a tip: If you decide to come here make sure to book an appointment first! I've seen several people walk in and walk out because everyone is fully booked. Overall, 5/5!
