I had an overall awful experience with their customer service. the man running the company was sarcastic and something as I can only describe as white rich man funny. They open at ten, but the hours weren't posted clearly and the interaction with the guy behind the counter was awful. I would never run my business in this fashion. Super bummed out about this place. We wanted donuts not from a gas station, so we checked this place out on our way out of town for the day. Super loud door chime when we came in, but literally no one was there. This place also housed a yogurt business, orange leaf. All of the yogurt fixings were clean and prepped and ready but looking at the donut fixings, it was messy and empty. We called out "hello" loudly and several times, but no answer. We could hear people talking in the back though. There was a space heater on behind the counter and someone's purse sitting on the back counter, so I know at least someone was there. We knocked on the counter and still nothing. So we left. No donuts for us! read more

Divine donuts !! Been here several times and can't get enough of those cuteeee donuts. Unlike traditional ones, these are perfect for a single serving. I love how they can be customized however we want. My favorites are strawberry n cream, cookies & coffee, s'mores and chocolate iced. They simply melt in the mouth and I keep going back to this place like a faithful puppy :-D For those who feel this place is pricey, I'd suggest to use their coupons either here on Yelp or on the website. This place just opened up in July and is based inside the orange leaf of Lincoln way. I met Gretchen inside and she went out of her way to make our experience worth it! We ended up getting a buy 1 get 1 free deal on their donuts plus an additional 4 donuts thanks to Gretchen : ). There was a variety of flavors to choose from and you weren't restricted at all on choosing multiple flavors per box of donuts. Sharing a space with the Ames Orange Leaf (in which Orange Leaf has done a huge remodeling to fit the Sweet Mini's Donut Company into the business!), Ames now has a gourmet, made-on-order mini donuts company. When you come into the Orange Leaf/Sweet Mini Donut Company combo, you can head straight over the froyo machines and get your frozen yogurt fix, or you can march right up to the donut counter and put in your donut order. Pick whichever business you'd like when you walk in. PROS: -Donuts are warm and made-to-order. There aren't donuts just sitting around. When you place your order, they go straight to the mini donut machine and make them for you. From the machine, they go straight to the toppings bar and hand-dip and hand-top each individual donut. And then each individual donut is placed into a correspondingly-sized box to how many you ordered. -The donuts are SO good when warm. It's just like the mini donuts you used to fall in love with at the fair - only with the toppings that you love about gourmet and full-sized donuts. The topping amounts are basically perfect. In the past, when I've had made-to-order warm donuts, if employee goes overboard with frosting or toppings, it's a messy eating experience or you get super sticky. That isn't the case here. Each individual donut is hand-dipped, upside down, into the frosting or glaze to make it "safe" to grip around the base of the donut. And even when warm, the donuts don't "collaspe" on themselves when picked up. Every bite of these donuts are delicious. -The mini donuts are still pretty decent when chilled and having sat around. Part of the appeal of these donuts is definitely the "fresh-baked" aspect, though, so if you can help it, try to eat these little guys when they're still warm. -The standard glaze, the M&Ms one, and the Oreo ones were my favorite. I was meh on their take of the Boston Creme donut. -Lots of laminated menus to look at. I haven't seen this place with a line yet, but hopefully, in peak times, having individual menus to look at while standing in line will reduce a lot of the indecision during ordering. -Pretty nice space. The location still looks noticeably "Orange Leaf" with some of the decor, but the remodel does make the company's shared space look a little less "orange" now. The chairs are regular chair and tables (instead of the old, whimsical ones), and there's a sole couch left. There's also bar stool seating along the windows. All of the seating is shared between Orange Leaf and Sweet Mini's Donut Company. -Sweet Mini's Donut Company also offers catering. You can also phone in your order to have your donuts available and ready when you get there. I just recommend planning correctly to make sure the donuts are still warm and delicious when you make it there. CONS: -The mini donuts are noticeably more expensive than their standard-sized counterparts. Getting 15 mini donuts here is about $11. Getting 12 regular-sized donuts at a gas station is about $8. So, in terms of "actual food you're receiving", you're getting a lot less with these mini guys. What you're paying for, at Sweet Mini's Donut Company, is to have warm, just-out-of-the-fryer donuts made exactly how you'd like. And honestly, that "warm, gourmet taste" is totally worth the extra cost most of the time. -It does take a bit to get your donuts after you order them. After all, it's "Made to Order". Expect about a 5 to 10 minute wait during dead times to receive your donuts. In a rush? You can call your order in ahead of time and just pick it up. read more

I have been to Orange Leaf many times because I love their frozen yogurt but it's only recently that I tried the mini donuts from Sweet's. The concept is pretty cool, having a whole batch of miniature donuts which can be ordered ahead and customized (or done right there in the store). The donuts are fresh and tasty. The donuts are a bit over priced for what you get. You get customized miniature donuts, which is nice, but you don't a ton of product for what you pay for them. It costs $11 for 15 mini-donuts, whereas you can get a dozen regular sized donuts elsewhere for about the same cost. In addition, Sweet's makes some decent coffee drinks and ice cream creations. They do a "Donut Sundae" which is basically vanilla ice cream and three donuts. They have a few basic shakes and malts (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate) which comes with a mini-donut. The coffee drinks are your basic latte (hot or cold), americano, espresso, etc. Overall, it's a nice concept, but I can take it or leave it. read more

I fell in love with these donuts last weekend. They are totally different from what I would expect from mini donuts. Unlike most cake donuts, they are fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. They make them very fresh. There are all kinds of combos of frosting plus the types of toppings you get for frozen yogurt. My favorite so far was the vanilla frosted with whipped cream and raspberries. The frozen yogurt in the store is good too. read more
