My wife and I stopped by there last Saturday. We were welcomed immediately. The establishment was extremely clean, which is something you will never see in a #tarbuc€s. There was a wide variety of drinks and quite a bit of goodies. There was a high definition tv on the wall and the barista gave me the remote, where I turned the channel to watch the Baylor Bears kick some booty. This is a comfortable place. Being that this is a small business I will give 5 stars and I want them around! Their espresso drinks (hot) are always good. The iced can be hot or miss by what my girlfriends have told me. Personally I never ate quiche before but I love the veggie quiche here, not gourmet but delicious. Service is always top notch. Never had a service complaint and I've been here quite a bit, sit down and drive thru. I've seen their croissant sandwich and it looked good. I received a small pecan cookie sample and it was very good. Big plus, I've NEVER had burnt coffee here. This little cafe located in Fulshear was so cute! I came here for the first time after church with my boyfriend and his dad for Brunch. Immediately when we stepped into the cafe, the atmosphere was so welcoming. The workers there were so friendly and super helpful. I ordered a sandwich called the "Fulshear Deluxe" and an Iced Vanilla Latte. The sandwich tasted so yummy and fresh. It was definitely a healthy choice to start an early morning. Not to mention, the Iced Vanilla Latte was brewed to perfection! Funny enough, I remembered commenting how "It's better than the ones that Starbucks serve!" I definitely recommend coming here for Brunch/Lunch. It's family friendly and a great environment to study in. You can really tell that First Cup Cafe is built upon the Fulshear community. This seems like a great neighborhood gathering place. The inside decor is both cozy and open, but I opted to enjoy a lovely sunny day sitting at one of the many tables outside. The drive-thru seemed to be hoppin' busy when I was there over lunch mid-week. Service was fantastic. Everyone seemed to be making an effort to give patrons a pleasant, positive experience. While I enjoyed my fancy caramel flan latte, it didn't seem that the main attraction here is either the food or coffee (I did not eat during this visit) but the community aspect. Many of the patrons that I spoke with during my visit spoke highly of the owners and the business' impact on the Fulshear community. A lot of people have made this their place to go when they need to get out of their home offices for a change of scenery or camaraderie. It is obviously quite difficult to compete in the area of coffee however First Cup seems to do so with aplomb and a notable difference from their competitors. Firstly is the ambience swhich is akin to an eclectic compilation of modern and the recollection of the 1960's coffe shop complete with couch, coffee tables (no pun intended) and a welcoming atmosphere by employees who appear more interested in you than in processing your order. Please don't misunderstand that I suspect they are equally efficient to the 'production' coffee shops but they certainly appear far more attentive. Secondly is the product itself which is coffeee which in my case was quite simple however the aroma and flavor at a fair and reasonbale cost made my visit here quite pleasant. The dersset and sandwich display looked quite excellent and I will be sure to return for a sampling. On this trip however I was more focused on digesting the book I had brought along and quite frankly the atmosphere was conducive for that consumption along with a lovely cup of coffee. Almost every time I go here they get my order wrong... most recent time being today. Ordered a "mocha CAFE freeze" in the drive thru, when I pulled up to the window, the girl said "did you want the creme based one? I forgot". I said "no, the cafe coffee based one". I get my drink and begin to drive off, and it doesn't taste anything like coffee. I end up going inside with the drink and the girl said "I thought you said you wanted creme based". Seriously?... My wife and I happened upon this place after her bike broke down during a ride this past Sunday. We were greeted with a smile, and a great cup of coffee!! Walked into First Cup Café looking to order the Mocha Café Freeze, comparable to Starbucks' Mocha Frappucino, and was kindly greeted by at least two staff members and offered to try a drink. The cashier was very courteous and patient while I ordered. The drink was made quickly and the barista made small talk with me while fixing my drink, making feel very at home. I look forward to returning and trying more drinks and lunch items. The building is beautiful on the outside and the inside, with couches, tables, and a private meeting room. I felt very at home and appreciated the welcome feeling. I would highly recommend one to this coffee shop. It is larger than most Starbucks locations and is very roomy to allow groups to spread out. After reading so much about the chicken salad i was in that area so stopped by around 2:00 for chicken salad sandwich on a croissant bun. I was surprised as it was a croissant bun that was cold and hard with a small amount of chicken salad and a piece of lettuce. The cost was $5.50. Needless to say there was not a pickle or any side chips. The chicken salad was not fabulous and I'm still not sure what every one is ranting and raving about. I will not go back for the chicken salad. On my way out I ordered a Strawberry and Banana smoothie that was wonderful. Would I recommend the First Cup Cafe to anybody, no. I place their chicken salad in the top five of all time. It does contain fruit so if you are looking at plain chicken salad this might not be the place for you. Been there 4 times already! First experience was with kids. Daughter ordered Caribbean smoothie. She loved it! Son ordered caramel creme and it was very good. He ordered it again the second time I brought them. My daughter did not like Starbucks caramel frap but she loved First Cups. I got my usual order a nonfat white mocha. Like it better than SB.
