Gotta say, this place is really really good. I dropped by for lunch and hoping for something healthy and I am sure I hit it here. I ordered the gyro in the pita, but the pita is not your typical bland thick pita, it's sort of thin, more of a wrap, and tasty. All of the fresh veggies and sauces I was able to add to my order were very fresh, added lots of flavor, and also there was an ample amount of meat in there. The only drawback was that the pita was kind of cold, so maybe next time I'll ask to see if they can't throw it on the grill to avoid that again. I'll definitely be back. This place is very clean, the employees are friendly and smiley, the food is tasty. Today I had the falafel pita. With many things to choose from I chose spinach, tabbouleh, cucumber, onions, I didn't want didn't want an dressing and original hummus. The pita is large but light, I enjoy the food and the low music playing, overall quite and relaxed environment to eat. They also offer online ordering and Uber eats, you can find more parking in the back of the building. I would like to recommend all employees to use a hair net please. I definitely should have tried this place sooner! Great value and huge portions. For someone like myself who is a vegetarian, this was a healthy and inexpensive option for dinner. The selection is absolutely amazing. I opted to try the falafel pita and stuffed a bunch of veggies inside, topped off with a chipotle hummus, and a balsamic vinegar dressing. Wow. I really love this place, really really love it. It's a Chipotle style fast food place for Mediterranean food. I love their chicken, it's so tender and flavorful with all the fat trimmed off. My favorite order is a rice bowl with chicken, I could eat it all day. Their red pepper hummus is packed with flavor and pieces of roasted red pepper. Their food is always consistent and delicious. The vibe is casual, and the inside is always nice and clean. They're open until 9pm, and it's always my go to spot for lunch or dinner when I have no other options. This is your typical Mediterrean menu -- gyro meat, falafel, hummus, etc. -- served in various formats and combinations. You choose your base (rice, salad, or pita) and go from there. It's the Subway of Mediterranean food! The sky is really the limit here. They offer tons of toppings, about a dozen dressings, and what? Seven types of hummus? I love being able to uber-customize. Nothing we ordered was out of this world, but everything was solid, good Mediterranean food. It's a good place to stop if you want something where you can control the healthiness level and just about everything else. Also, any picky kids you may be minding can be easily satisfied with rice, pita bread, and grilled chicken. We will definitely be back! Some small warnings from my family to yours... Why did I wait so long to try this place!? I was in the area and needed to grab a bite somewhere quick and easy and this place popped up as nearby and bookmarked. Perfect. I took one Yelpers suggestion and got the andouille sausage bowl and I am so glad I did! The grilled sausage, onions, peppers and shrooms, over rice, spinach and other veggies, and mozzarella on top was such a delicious combination. I didn't use any of the dressing as the main ingredients provided more than enough flavor. I also got a small side of falafel and they were perfect. I visited Hummus House for lunch a few weeks back and ordered the chicken pita, with lettuce, shredded cheese, tabbouleh (99 cents extra), and a few other toppings. The pita quickly fell apart when I began eating it because it was so heavy, so I'll probably order it as a salad next time, as I ended up eating it out of a bowl. You could really taste all the fresh ingredients used on the tabbouleh, and definitely recommend spending the extra dollar on it as a topping. read more

I can't count how many times I've been here. I only wish they had more locations. Each time I come, I get the chicken rice bowl. Think of this as like a "chipotle-sque" vibe where you enter and they put on toppings a you ask then you check out at the end. The chicken, however they season it, is always good. Tender and flavorful. The serving size is great and you can even pay for extra meat if you'd like. The service is always quick and the people are always friendly. They have bottled beverages at the checkout line, as well as a few chip options. Alternatively, they've got a Coke Freestyle machine. This is our "go to" lunch place! The food is fresh and the chicken I get on my salad is always hot and seasoned well. I love the honey ginger dressing and now get two servings of it! Delicious!!! When I say tasty and filling, I mean just that. I have only ordered from here on Uber Eats, but that doesn't impact their quality at all. First... their hummus... THE BEST! I'm picky about hummus because not everyone does it right, but what they serve will make the biggest skeptic a fan. Now not to be outdone, their pita bread is wonderfully flavorful, warm and fresh! I do wish they would wrap it in foil, but that hasn't stopped me from devouring it each time. I've had the Chicken Caesar Pita with the garlic hummus and the Bowl with Chipotle hummus and I crave it daily. It's light, and hearty with great seasonings and moist chicken. Everything is so fresh, I had a Romain salad with tuna and balsamic dressing. I love how you have the option to create your own salad like at chipotle. I'm very picky about what I put on salads so being able to have lots of yummy fresh choices was a huge plus for me. I also got a side of pita bread with my salad. They brought it out to me warmed from the grill, so delicious. My meal was around $12, very reasonable for such a large salad and side of pita. Love this place and it never disappoints! The salad bowl allows you to have unlimited toppings, tzaziki, a choice of dressing, AND hummus. I chose Greek vinaigrette and Chipotle hummus! Hummus House has become a quick favorite. The menu is quite expansive and they serve a lot more than just hummus. The food is always very fresh, the portion sizes are awesome when you're really hungry and the hummus is seriously the best I've had: creamy and delicious. Truthfully, I wasn't even a big fan of hummus before I discovered this place. Consider me converted. I like that you can order ahead. I like that they use that delicious long grain basmati rice in the bowls. I like the variety in the toppings. They even do this sweet frequent buyer type deal. Must try this spot. Hummus House makes you feel good when you're trying to be healthy. I went in today for the first time and got a rice bowl with gyro meat, tzatziki, and roasted garlic hummus and it was incredible. The portion size is solid for the ~$8 that it was and it made me feel much less sad about eating a bit better. Give hummus house a try! They make their own hummus, as well as having quite a lot of different ingredients for toppings! New year and trying to be healthier about my choices when eating out. I'm LOVING that this is in my neck of the woods. It's great especially for those nights coming home from work when I don't want to be a slave in my kitchen to have a decent, healthy meal. Still working on that "food prep" thing.... As others have mentioned, the parking lot is weird. It's connected to that GREEN bank (forgot the name) at the corner of 1792 and Minnesota . There are a few spots in the front with more parking in the back. Or you can park at Steak n Shake and walk over. Lucky for us, we came on a Sunday for lunch and were the first people to arrive. Meaning that all ingredients were fresh! It's a little overwhelming and may be so especially if you come at a busy time but lucky for us, the friendly gal behind the counter explained their concept ("Like a chipotle") . You have the option of a pita, salad or rice bowl. And unlike their name, they have more than just hummus. This place is great for the meateaters and herbivores and you can load up with all sorts of veggie toppings and dressings/hummus. I went with a rice bowl and added some spinach (they have 3 different kinds of lettuce blends) . I chose falafel as my protein ( they also have chicken, andouille sausage, turkey, tuna etc.) and added an abundance of toppings like chickpeas, tomato, cucumber to name a few. I decided to get the dressing and hummus(lots of options for both) in side containers so I can add to my rice bowl sparingly so as not to overwhelm the flavors. We also ordered a side of hummus/chips and fried cauliflower to try. My rice bowl was fantastic and very filling. My husband enjoyed his gyro pita as well. We would probably skip the side items for next time because the main dishes were so hearty. Also, the fried cauliflower is more like blanched and not deep fried and was great with the chipotle aioli dipping sauce. Side note: If you like deals, you can sign up on the screen at the register with your email for emailed and texted deals. I didn't know what to expect from this place, but my friend recommended I try this place out since I love HUMMUS and Mediterranean food. She was right! I absolutely loved the food here. You come in, and you choose your protein, rice bowl, salad or gyro. Or you can pick from the pre-made signature dish options they have. It's like a Mediterranean style made to order spot. You get to even choose the type of olive you want, and they have different types of hummus... even one called "salsa hummus"! While I didn't get to try that specific one, I'll have to go back again to taste that flavor. Instead i chose the garlic hummus as it went well with my Greek dish. They also have THE BEST FALAFEL AND TAHINI SAUCE HANDS DOWN. I know Mediterranean food really well, and I just have to point that out! If you go, please pay extra just to try the falafel. You will not be disappointed. Everything is made to order so it's super fresh. I even saw them freshly cooking the falafel as I had to wait for it; it wasn't sitting somewhere being stale. The salad and cucumbers are crunchy, the chicken has flavor with the right amount of seasoning, and the sauces are delicious. Reasonably priced, so I'm definitely going back. Side note: I also like the machine they have that dispenses the drinks. I say that because the ice cubes were a good size chunk, and the water from it tasted good! First off, I didn't get ANY pictures. Boo. Second, this was my 2nd experience with Uber Eats - so I didn't actually even go to their location, but still I'm impressed. I got the Gyro Pita - which was really good. Packed with meat, and delicious tzatziki sauce - they let you choose your toppings so I got fresh spinach on mine also - which added something different than I normally have. I also got their fried cauliflower - which was decent, I guess I just do not see a need to fry a vegetable like that - I think they would have been better if they just cooked them, but the Asiago fresco dipping sauce was AWESOME. Id try it again for sure, but i'd be interested in going to the location next time - items tend to be more fresh, especially if I considered the cauliflower again. read more

It wasn't until last week I actually made it over. My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick bite before seeing a movie at Regal Winter Park Village. He mentioned interest in going to Pita Pit. Alas, there are none nearby. Then I remembered Hummus House. Seemed similar enough. HH does bear a very close resemblance to Pita Pit, but I honestly think it's a little better. The restaurant is very clean and fresh plus there seems to be more in terms of selection. It was a very slow time when we arrived - only a few other people in the restaurant. I did a create-your-own pita with grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, cucumbers and guacamole hummus on a wheat pita. The guac hummus was so tasty! My boyfriend had one of the signature pitas (for the life of me, I can't remember which one) and he really enjoyed it as well. The ingredients all tasted very fresh.
