Beirut has been in this spot on Alafaya for quite a while and when I finally came to try it, it was packed. They must be doing something right. I personally did not feel the love as much as everyone else. The dining area was very small and hard to navigate with our party of 8. If you have a large party, consider ordering platters to go! Because there were already a few tables full, it took us a while to get our food. I had a falafel bowl that tasted ok, but left me hungry. For the price, I wanted to feel like I had a complete meal. Chicken eaters at the table did not enjoy the chicken and the gyro meat was dry and did not look as if it was cooked fresh. The review I saw online said they serve their food with a great garlic sauce, which I was excited about. However, the food actually came with honey mustard. We had to ask specifically for garlic sauce, but the honey mustard was already smothered on a platter. The menu didn't specify that the dish would come with honey mustard, so we didn't know to not ask for it. I would say now we know for next time, but there will not be a next time. read more

We ordered our food to go and it took a short 15 minutes to complete- big kudos to that since we ordered a good amount of food. Now for the food- wowza for flavor! Everything was fresh, bright, and not lacked depth. We got the mixed shawarma platter (I could bathe in that hummus and oil), falafel platter, a shawarma wrap, and the muhammara with cheese manoushe. I recommend every single item. Their sauces were all homemade and hot sauce had the perfect flavor to heat ratio. The wrap was crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside. The falafel was seasoned perfectly and the mixed shawarma was very tasty. My only knock was that the shawarma could have crisped up more but that's not surprising given how busy they were. Beirut is one of my favorite spots for takeout. I usually order to go, but they do have indoor seating if you want to eat there. The food is always fresh and flavorful. I've tried the chicken shawarma bowl, chicken shawarma sandwich, and the baklava and everything has been great. You can tell a lot of care goes into the food. I tried the beef shawarma wrap and the chicken shawarma wrap. Both were so delicious but my favorite was the chicken. I also tried their fries which have a crispy coating which I really enjoyed and it came with a delicious garlic sauce on the side. It was not very busy when I went and my food was ready super quickly. Service was kind. There was plenty of parking available. This is the best salad I've ever had in my life. It is simple yet full of flavor and textures. The pita chips on top are delicious and add a perfect crunch, not too hard. The tomatoes are the best tasting I've ever had. I originally was intimidated by the larger chunks but wherever they source their tomatoes from makes them fresh and delicious almost like a fruit. A terrible chain of events had to happen before I came to this place one evening. Three restaurants we had in mind didn't workout, and we were running out of options. I saw this place on my map, and I had heard that it was generating some buzz, so I was like, let's give it a shot. And thank God we did. This place was out of this world delicious. We ordered a bunch of stuff and shared. We ordered a whole tray of falafel. It came on a bed of lettuce and a good amount of pickled veg. Great falafel. Bite-sized, crispy and crunchy, not too dry. I think the smaller size helped with it not being dry. A very good falafel. Would recommend. Then, we ordered a Lahm Ajeen & Cheese, which is a Middle Eastern flatbread topped with minced meat (most commonly beef or lamb), minced vegetables, and herbs including onions, garlic, tomatoes, red peppers, and parsley, flavored with spices such as chili pepper and paprika, then baked. This was very good. It was a floppy flatbread, covered with the minced meat, topped with an ooey gooey cheese. The flavor was bam, smack in your face with a deep flavor. It was very chili peppery and paprikay. I just loved it. A new dish for me. We also shared a Chicken Shawrma Sandwich. Great chicken shawrma. Again, the key here was making this dish not dry. And mission accomplished. Moist, delicious chicken in a very tightly wrapped wrap. I could eat three of these. Very nice. The one hiccup was that I ordered a few flatbreads to go along with the large sides of Hummus and Baba Ghanoush. But I didn't receive those flatbreads in my to-go bags. Which was a major bummer. But we made due. We just dipped everything else we had into the dips and made the best of it. Overall, this place was a blessing in disguise. This is a counter service style restaurant and the seats are very comfy. The staff are quite nice, although they do constantly seem to be busy and are always running around so you might have to wait a bit to get their attention. This is definitely not a place to be in and out though as the three or four times I've been there we've always had to wait a bit to get our food. It does mean that the food isn't already prepped and waiting in the back which is good but do be prepared for a wait. The food is very good and I've made it a regular stop for me when I'm craving Mediterranean food. The hummus is quite good and the falafel wraps can easily fill you up. We wanted "real" shawarma, not the mystery gyro meat that is sold here. Well, we found the real deal here. The shawarma was amazing. They had a special with one chicken, one beef shawarma, fries and one drink for $19.99. What a deal!! I have to say that for my first time here it was good and disappointing at the same time. First of all we waited for a long time for our food, about 40-50 min around lunch time. When the food came they brought someone else's food to our table. My husband was so hungry that he started eating until we realize we didn't order the falafel plater. We payed for it anyway since it was really delicious. On the other hand the food was really good. We got a couple of the flatbreads and a beef swarma and of course the add on falafel platter. I also ordered a Kafka sandwich. This is a type of Lebanese meatball. We had to call ahead to request the whole chicken platter, because it has a longer prep/cook time. It was unbelievably delicious! My mouth just had THE MOST amazing experience. I got a flyer in the mail and have been wanting to try this place. my son loves to try new foods so off we, my son, husband (for his birthday), and I went to this cozy little brand new restaurant. The homemade hummus as a dip for the chicken was AAAAAAMAZEBALLS. The yoghurt, also a dip, used for the falafel was eyes rolling back in my head delicious. Both the shawarma and shish tawook came with tabbouleh which is basically a parsley salad. YUM. The yellow rice seasoned with nutmeg was fantastic. LOVED ALL THE THINGS! We ate it all so fast we forgot to take pictures. There was plenty to take home, so pictured is what we had left and the people sitting next to us ordered the falafel and were kind enough to let me take a photo of theirs.
