    Chicken Shawarma Bowl
    Erin S.

We stopped by with a party of 6 (5 adults and a toddler) at 6:15 pm on Sunday, 8/4/24. In a strip, plenty of parking. They didn't have high chairs when we went. Checked in on Yelp and got free side of falafel (5 balls). The falafel was really good! The employees were all very friendly. I got the Chicken Shawarma Bowl ($14). Same concept as Cava or Sweetgreen--able to customize and choose hummus and spread, toppings and dressings. The portion was very generous! I was able to get 2 meals out of it. If I had been hungrier though, I probably could've eaten the whole thing. I also tried the Moroccan Steak Bowl. Both the chicken and steak were really good! The sweet potato fries ($5) were also delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. Others had falafel and the mushroom shawarma. I just need them to get high chairs and I would gladly go back for a quick and easy meal at a very reasonable price!

Sorry the pita pic is gone... that what happens when you eat here... it's so good and so fresh! 11 out of 10

We have been here 6 times and every single time, the food is hands down 10 out of 10 delicious. The ingredients are all fresh to order and the portions are more generous than CAVA, but it's there authentic Mediterranean flavors that keep us coming back. Everything I've tried is mouth watering. If you like CAVA you will love hummus republic... way better quality, way better taste. Truthfully, there's no comparison. Hummus republic takes the gold. We used to get the bowls (which I couldn't finish because they are so big... this time I tried the lemon chicken pita and it's so tender ans flavorful. The saffron rice is yummy and make sure to top whatever you get with garlic tahini.... The owner has been there every time we've been and the attention to detail including the way they put together the bowls and wrap the pitas make you feel like you're getting a custom meal from a private chef. If you haven't tried this place you're missing out. We highly recommend. Next time I'll post pic of actual food, but it was so good I ate it up before I remembered to take pic!

I came across Hummus Republic when I dropped by Sublime Doughnuts. I'm always in the mood to try a new spot, so I grabbed dinner to go. The restaurant's concept is like Chipotle, but with Mediterranean items. The staff member who took care of preparing my bowl was awesome! My bowl included garbanzo beans, traditional hummus, chicken shawarma, red onions, tomatoes, beets, cucumbers, tabbouleh, and more, with a side of dolmades. Everything was absolutely delicious and tasted healthy and fresh. Even the portion size was perfect! I'll definitely come here more often.

Food was great; place is very clean, and the line prep guy made great recommendations as we made our selections. Portions are large, so we had trouble finishing the bowls, but they were very tasty. Wish this place was closer to us because we'd be regulars. Definitely glad we stopped.

I am a first-time customer via Uber Eats. Whoever made my pita, I am ready to commit!! Gender and race is no problem because you know how to make an amazing pita!! Hummus Republic is my new go-to! Tomiko (Briarcliff Rd Location)

The food was ok, but the whole experience of getting my food and being there just turned me off. I was in the area and just happened to see this place and I was like, okay, let's give it a shot. I placed an order at 4:41 a got and email saying my food would be ready between 4:51 and 5:01. I walked in at 5:05, I did not get my food until almost 5:20. Mind you, no one was there, I mean quite literally it was me and the two people working there. I checked in on Yelp, and noticed they had a coupon for free Falafel. I showed one of the works, and she said ok. Thought I was good right? Wrong, the other worker who was older came up about 5 minutes later and asked me to show it to her again for the manager who she was on the phone with, and unfortunately I couldn't, because I had already marked the offer as used. They still gave it to me, but it was just annoying. Was really turned me off about this place was the health score. It was an 83, and it looked like it. Mess everywhere, and there was a smell of straight sewage in the air. Honestly sad to say I will not be back at this location ever again. I will be back to Hummus republic, but this location needs help.

We are so glad this spot opened up near us. If you are a fan of healthy eating and of Mediterranean food, this is a must stop by spot. Everything is fresh and delicious. They have options for both meat-eaters and vegans which make it a great all-around spot!

Falafel pita was great. They made it quick at the counter but everything was fresh and made to order. There were so many toppings options

Second time here, but the experience was very different this time. The food was pretty good, but there was NO human interaction at all. NONE! "Order from the electronic kiosk!" Not another word from either of the guys behind the counter, even when they delivered the food to the table. A few listed food ingredients were sold out, as was the case with the fountain drink dispenser. Disappointing second visit.

Nice ambience and healthy. Workers are good and the serving size is excellent. I recommend this for quick place to eat

Destroyed my lunch before taking a pic. This is the aftermath.

Popped in after the county track meet. Awesome pita for me and my daughter. Ingredients were fresh and delicious. Well done HR!

Came here with my family for dinner. I got the chicken shawarma bowl with couscous and my husband got the chicken shawarma with couscous and mixed greens. The food was tasty and flavorful and the chicken was tender. They had a variety of toppings to choose from and everything looked and tasted fresh. The gentleman behind the counter who made our food was very friendly and helpful and explained everything to us since it was our first time there. Inside, the store was very clean and modern looking with plenty of seating inside as well as a couple of table and chairs outside. Enjoyed the food and will be back again to try the falafels!

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.

Worse, there was no diced cucumbers in the yogurt. Probably they mistook my order for Mast Musir which is yogurt with shallots. Worst of all, even if the restaurant says it accepts OpenTable dining credits, the dining credits actually could not be used in the restaurant! Or at least, the staff did not know how to use it. I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

My girlfriend has a very strict diet due to food sensitivities, so before ordering she specifically asked about the dough, bread, and flours used in the food. Unfortunately, instead of receiving details about the ingredients, she was simply told that she could eat it. Based on that information, she ordered the meal, but later had a reaction to the dough that was used. This was frustrating because the situation likely could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information about the ingredients from the beginning. We completely understand that not every restaurant can accommodate every dietary restriction, but being transparent about what is used in the food allows customers to make informed decisions for themselves. The food itself was good, which is why we're giving 3 stars, but the service on this particular issue left us disappointed. We hope the restaurant can do a better job of providing ingredient information when customers ask, especially for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.
