I love Greek food, and Sam's is the best when it comes to quality, taste, portion sizes and price. They're super friendly and it normally doesn't take a while for your food to be ready. $22 for 2 Gyro combos that includes a drink and French fries. Simply delicious, you'll have leftovers. It's always so clean in the restaurant too; the tables, chairs, floors and counters look like they have a little fairy flying around making sure everything is spotless. Kairos is the man. Master chef from the homeland. I rolled with lamb gyro. It's was magic. Fries etc. much better than the Outback Steakhouse experience in Lebanon tn with a pre pressed Sam's burger and a burned blooming onion. How do you screw up a blooming onion? Burn it that's how. One must be careful as this gyro place shows as the Sam's gyros near Jersey Mikes. DEFINITELY a different place all together. Avoid the the Jersey Mikes Sam's and come here. The size of the gyro is just WOW. I've eaten at lots of gyro places, and this might be the biggest portion sized gyro I've ever had. Tastes great too! Friendly staff and atmosphere. Sam's is a small gyro shop located in a shopping center just outside of Fort Campbell, KY. It is modestly decorated in the front and quite busy (cluttered) in the kitchen area, which is in full view of the dining area. To put it simply, the restaurant looks cheap. To be clear, cheap is not bad. My favorite restaurants are often what most people would consider "dives." They have a pretty small menu of wings, gyros (lamb, chicken), german schnitzel, schnitzel sandwiches, fries, etc. A very nice lady took our order, we sat down in the dining area and she brought our food out shortly. The food is OK. Not bad, but not impressive either. The gyro must have a "Clarksville spin" on it since it was overloaded with iceberg lettuce, tomato slices and shredded cheese. This is not an authentic gyro or even something remotely close to it. I got the meal, so fries were included and topped with a seasoned salt. Not bad, but again....not impressive. Perhaps my expectations were a little high, but I expect authentic gyros when I go to a place like this. I was disappointed and will not return except perhaps to try their wings. The cream cheese wontons taste like the cream cheese was blended with powdered sugar, so not great but not awful. Would have given it 5 star except it is expensive $8.20 for a sandwich and a bottle of water. But was filling and tasty. Update Had their gyro salad for dinner. There is a lot of lettuce. I left off the cheddar cheese and added the more traditional feta cheese. Next time I'll ask for less lettuce more of the other veggies ( onion, cucumber, tomato) and order more tzatziki sauce. The 3 locations this family owns in Clarksville are all consistently very high quality food. Wife and I go into withdrawal if we dont get our weekly sams fix. Terrible service...asked for a gyro sandwich and a side salad instead of fries...understandably made the mistake of giving me a gyro meat salad. Which i paid a dollar more for. I took the salad back and the owner "explained" to me the menu...i then asked for a combo plate and said i will pay the difference. I got a gyro sandwich with some lettuce onion and tomatoe on the side (no dressing). Called to explain that i only got a gyro sandwich no fries no chicken combo no dressing and paid extra...manager kept telling me to calm down when i was calm (upsetting) and tried to explain to me why i paid a dollar more than a combo plus added 33% on top of that only to get a sandwich!
