I'm not gonna lie, when I first walked in I was a little hesitant, and that was extremely judgmental of me. The staff, the atmosphere, the menu signs with what appears to be at least two price hikes between the tape over and markers....... But the gyro sandwich loaded and the humus were both EXCELLENT!! I will definitely come back for more! I got everything on my gyro and it was good and messy. I would suggest eating at home with plenty of napkins; meaning this isn't fast food to eat while driving! Our family loves Mediterranean cuisine. We has tried the Sam's Greek Cafe #3 but didn't know we had one right around the corner on Tiny Town Rd. Food was delicious and gave us everything we wanted. The falafel was good but not as good as at Sam's #3. There was no sauce included for them. The lamb gyro was delicious. The stuffed grape leaves were great. The food was delicious, but we definitely enjoyed the other location better. Please do not take that as any indication that the food was not good. We will eat here again and highly recommend them. There is plenty of great and nutritious food being served here. I will say that the gentleman who served us here was awesome. Such great service. read more

We go to Clarksville about once a week and it's pretty much a tradition now to eat lunch at Sam's Greek Cafe. So tasty and so fresh very consistently! We go back and forth between the regular gyros with taziki sauce and the gyros salad which is probably the best deal. The two guys always there are always friendly and quick to get your order out Hot. My only ding is paying so much for baklava! But ya gotta get it!!! Yum! Just driving through, saw the reviews, and had to try it! It was amazing! My wife is gluten intolerant but didn't have a problem with anything that we ordered. The owners were very friendly and even shared some advice on how they marinated some of their meats, since we are out of towners.. I'll start with saying, I love Greek food, so I'm highly critical when I try these places out. Sam's isn't terrible but it's not the fresh and refreshing food you'd expect from a true Greek restaurant. Think of it as Greek fast food. They serve gyros, which are pretty decent as long as you eat them fresh. During these COVID times, most food isn't eaten fresh off the grill, but rather through delivery. Take that into consideration. Bottom Line: if you're hungry and want a different flavor profile than your typical McDonald's or Wendy's, try Sam's. This was a lovely find. We were passing thru the city and was headed towards a fast food joint. Instead saw this place and decided to try it. I like the variety you can get for the gyros here. They allow you to pick what toppings you want. The tzaikzy is actually really tasty! We don't order hummus often because my best friend is from Jordan and makes the best hummus, but we tried this and it was pretty good. The paprika was a little heavy but the hummus itself was good. The fries were also nice and crispy. We will come back when we want a gyro! read more

My brother is half Lebanese and I've been loving Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food all my life. We were on a road trip and swung by here for dinner. I walked in for lunch. The smell of cigarettes hits you. You shouldn't be smelling cigarettes in a restaurant. Lol I waited a minute. Took the whole place in. Looked around. 2 people were eating there. No one greeted me. I left. A random guy outside of my vehicle l, heard me talk about how bad the smell was. Even this random guy said it smells bad! Don't let the strip mall frontage keep you from eating here. Food is great, reasonably priced and service fast and peasant. We were traveling through and most restaurants were closed at 10:45 so we stopped here. I had the traditional gyro platter and a side of grape leaves. When I'm working at the KY rest stop near the TN line, I treat myself to lunch on Tiny Town road. Exit 1 has great restaurants but Sam's cafe has delicious Greek food if you are hungry for something other than burgers, pizza and fries. The business owner is warm and smiley. The cafe isn't very big but perfect for grabbing a bite to go. My sandwich of choice is the lamb gyro(lettuce tomato cucumber sauce). The drinks are great but it may be better to get the combo with fries. I'm use to lamb having a lil more flavor but if you add a pepper it does the trick. read more

Would not recommend them. Gyro was soggy, meat was hardly seasoned, lettuce was soggy, just was not very appetizing at all.

Although hours can be a little inconvenient (totally a personal thing, being a night owl), the food is top notch. The gyros are some of the best I've had and the hummus is simple but tasty. Even sprung for the Chicago dog and it was a surprisingly tasty treat. Everyone is always super nice (I frequent the Tiny Town location) and the prices are reasonable considering how much food you walk away with. Overall certainly worth a try if you dig a decent gyro! read more

I'm not sure why they call themselves a Greek cafe, nothing about here is even an attempt at Greek. Husband and I ordered 2 Greek salads, they asked us what dressing we wanted, they only had ranch, spicy/jalapeño ranch and cucumber. No Greek dressing for a Greek salad? Lol ok. The salad had no feta cheese or potato salad. The chicken was an extra $9 to add and awful, it had some different kind of seasoning. We spent $20, got home, and threw both salads out. I ordered a philly steak and a gyro combo from here online. For starters the pita bread was burnt. It was difficult to taste anything through that. Independently of that, the fries were cold, which i guess is more on the delivery than the restaurant but it was still disappointing. As for the dishes, the cheesesteak wasnt a cheesesteak. I love Sam's! The atmosphere and location might not seem like much, but the customer service and food is consistently amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. They've got a few different locations and the quality is consistent throughout the locations as well. Definitely one of my favorite spots of a quick lunch or dinner in Clarksville. read more

Most of the time, in my opinion, slow food is better than fast. Except in the case of Greek food. The first Greek place I ever went to - the first Greek food I ever had - was in Greektown in Chicago about 40 years ago. Friends were telling me it was a blast, and I had to have spanakopita. And radio station WLS was playing ads for a couple of Greektown restaurants. One of them had some cheerful fella shouting, "Opa!" after apparently lighting a luscious, sizzly order of saganaki. It was funny to hear "Killing Me Softly with His Song" and then an accordion playing some Greek folk tune. Gotta love AM pop music radio. Opa! I talked somebody into going down there for an Experience. Oh, this was going to be great! After the last baklava was manged and bill was paid, the Chicago Greek Experience was universally decided to be severely mediocre. Not bad, nothing terrible. It's just that the food was pretty good. The decor was all right. The service was respectable. But Little Italy was SO much better. I figured it was just the restaurant. I went back to another one. It was fine, but no better. Rats. Been going back to nice Greek restaurants. The nicest ones have very pretty stores and great service, but the food all seems to be the same. Good, but not really great. I'll keep trying, gosh darn it. On the other hand, I've been to some really wonderful Greek fast food places. The guy who invented the gyro skewer-and-broiler combination was a genius. Sam's is one of these places. It was my wife's and son's first time having Greek. It was easy to recommend the lamb gyros, which was what my daughter and son had, much (much!) to their pleasure and enjoyment. Friends had told me I had to try chicken gyros. I did that. It was great with the recommended garlic sauce. My wife isn't a wheat bread fan, so she skipped the pita and had a chicken gyro salad. That chicken had another sauce on it, kind of barbecue-y, also delicious. Nice job, Sam and company! The store was very clean and the service was good and very friendly. The prices were a little higher than McD's, but the food was so much better. One thing - this is NOT car food, unless you own a Jeep you can hose out after lunch. This stuff is seriously messy. Walking into Sams is an instant lunch vibe. Greeted instantly by a friendly face that happened to be the cook as well on a Sunday. Menu is pretty simple and straight forward. Food is fresh and very satisfying! Clean environment and order was quickly filled. Not much more I can ask out a place . Food was flavorful and authentic. Cooked and prepared excellent. We had the gyro plate and the chicken kabob, the staples of a solid Mediterranean cafe. If you're a small eater as I am two can share a plate it's that plentiful. Went in today and decided to try their Chicago Dog. It's looks very tastey on the picture and actually when the guy made it it looks delicious. However, looks are deceiving. The hot dog itself has absolutely no flavor. It's a strange mushy consistency in the inside, crisp on the outside. The bread is soft when you get it but gets hard very quickly.
