Service slow... don't think they will come back often. So drink very slow and ask for ranch napkins etc when ordering your drinks... the food was blah... Chicken fried chicken was a weird texture like it peeled apart in layers so probably processed... no taste the gravy packaged for sure but ask for extra trust me. The fries frozen and old The jalapeño pork chop that everyone raves about yeah it was also flavorless not much of a flavor at all. This is our 2nd time to try it as traveling and won't be back for a while so. The. We was also charged for a few things we didn't even have. And all other women was getting a piece of cake for Mothers Day NOT my wife..: It's loud and it's very decorative for sure! Idk we can say we've been we've seen we're good!

If you are in Brownwood, Texas slide on by Humphrey Pete's and order up. It really doesn't matter what, it's all good. From salads, burgers, fish or steaks, you will find something you like. The place is always turning out great food and the staff is just as good. This time I went with the chicken fried steak and let me tell you, it's Huge!!! The baked potato, salad and hot rolls were excellent too. The next day, I took some folks out to eat and we hit up Humphrey Pete's again! This time I went with the mushroom Swiss burger. Wow! It came with grilled onions and I added grilled jalapeños and sweet potato fries. We shared the Texas toothpicks, and they were great! That was a meal!! Be hungry when you go, they are the feeding people business. Go get Full

Great place to eat. We got there early, but the staff was very nice and went ahead and sat us. There was basically only a few people there the whole time we were there. It was quiet and not noisy. That was great because we were able to sit and talk. They brought out some delicious rolls to start out our meal. It was very hard not to eat the whole basket. We both ordered the Chipotle Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It was so good. It was a big piece of chicken. The jalapeño bun was award winning. It came with Swiss cheese, bacon, and jalapeños. I feel like maybe there could have been more cheese. There were a lot of fries. Really enjoyed our meal. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

First time in and the last. The food was good but not great. The service was great. The deal breaker for me is the fact that there is a bar in the back where people can smoke indoors. I kept thinking the smell was coming in from outside. But when the waitress told me what it was I changed my order to go. I will not pay those kind of prices to sit and smell cigarette smoke.

Small chicken fried steak. Mashed potatoes and gravy

Completely unexpected just a few miles from Camp Bowie. Reservations recommended. Came with a group and snagged half a dozen seats at the bar. Started with cocktails. Everyone was pleased. Heavy pours. Austin prices. Totally worth it. You know you are in the presence of culinary excellence when the menu is limited to less than a dozen items. Crab cakes. That is all. Order it. Eat it. Move along. Korean fried chicken is the bomb ! Get it. No regrets. As is the wedge. Pick a steak. Order it medium rare. It's truly that good. And, apparently, even if you aren't a fan of mac&chz - you can (and should) get it with seafood, steak, or that f'n delicious Korean fried chicken. Just get it to go and arm wrestle your 9 year old for it tomorrow. Poor kid is going hungry... Exceptional service. Owner is welcoming and awesome. Bar manager is awesome. Ambiance is awesome. We're coming back.

I had the Beef Wellington with Stilton sauce. It was the most tender, perfectly cooked piece of beef I've ever eaten. The mashed potatoes were amazing, as well. Service was extraordinary. Every morsel of food was prepared to perfection. I can't wait to return.

Next they have a homemade tomato vinaigrette for the salad...a MUST try. I wasnt sure at first but I love trying any dressing they say is house made...and this is well worth it! The bread is good as well......but what you expect ro be the star of your meal is less than stellar. I got chicken parm with a side of linguine with Alfredo. Well the plate came out looking like a pool of alfredo....the chicken had obviously been pre-made and microwaved, it was chewing and rubbery. It had littke to no flavor....I sadly and I mean sadly...had to add salt and pepper. I couldn't even finish it. I did get a cannoli to go. It was decent. The filling was not the right consistency but it tasted fairly good. The table next to me, I heard them order chicken parm as well and when their order came out, she ordered pink sauce and i heard her complaining about the pool of pink sauce that just over ran her plate as well. Last but not least....it is about 82 degrees if not hotter in there. You can not cool down after coming in from the heat. Its awful.
