The only reason I am giving one star is because you can't give zero stars. Well, and the food did come about 25 minutes faster than they originally promised. This is NOT Chinese food. I have had General Tso's chicken and jalapeño chicken all over the country/all over the world, and these taste like they were created by some American eatery. The General Tso's is terrible - - not breaded, which I normally wouldn't mind, except it was deep-fried anyway, which dried the chicken out completely. The broccoli was quite fresh, actually. The sauce was OK. The jalapeño chicken cannot be described. It is that terrible -- it tastes totally institutional, like something you would get in a nursing home. And the eggroll (there were supposed to be two, but we only got one) was soggy. When I called to complain, although I had spent $27 ($4.50 of which was a tip and $4.00 the delivery charge), The manager was not willing to give me more than $15 back. Even though I was insisting that he take the food back, as we did not eat it. I argued that I thought the minimum that I felt was fair was $20, and he blatantly refused. I warned him that I was going to leave a very negative (read: true!) review here, but he didn't care. He hung up on me. I will NEVER frequent this place again. This was my first and worst experience - - where Chinese food is concerned, at least. Beware! P.S. THEN I read a few reviews back, and I discover that people found roaches in their food. Definitely going back. It's a tiny little place but it definitely reminded me of a few places that I loved at home. They had roast duck. Which is something I've been craving. We had the Chefs Special Duck, which was mixed with broccoli, mushrooms and water chestnuts. It was absolutely delicious. We also had the #20, which was the perfect amount of spicy and sesame. I kind of wish I could give 0 stars. The menu online has no prices and the spicey icon is cut off as well. I had ordered "fried dumplings" thinking that the dumpling was fried in its entirety. Got them and it was steamed so I called and she rudely explained how they are pan fried so one side is fried. I suggested they correct their menu as I would have ordered 1 not 2. She basically said oh well and no to the suggestion. The dumplings were good however. As was the fried rice, lo mein ams Chinese donuts (sugar rolls). The shrimp online wasn't marked spicey (menu is cut off) so it wasnt eaten. The beef broccoli was watery and the meat was very dry. Chewing 50x a bite wasnt enough lol. Probably the best I've had since moving to Killeen. I was craving a dish that the Chinese restaurant in my home town makes. I asked them if they would make it and it wasn't a problem at all. They are always so nice both on the phone and in person. It does depend on who answers the phone because a couple of times they didn't know what Char Siu was so ask for the Sliced Roast Pork and they will know what you want. Be sure to specify sliced because once I just asked for roast pork and it came all chopped up. It worked out ok though because I was just going to make fried rice out of it anyway. Give this place a try, I think you will like it! It is a place that you go for the food and not necessarily the decor. Well then, be prepared to be transported onto the stage of a dimly lit movie set, replete with faux silk Chinese blouses, cheap red paper lanterns, a sickly "we're still using the grease from last year to cook" smell, and tables decorated with Chinese Zodiac fortunes with years dating in the '70s. Besides the utter camp of the place being a clear indicator to STAY AWAY, one might also notice something peculiar with the table settings: Chopsticks are nowhere to be found. The food itself isn't great. The ribs tasted and felt as if they were hastily reheated via microwave. The fried rice tastes much like everything else at this restaurant. The taste, you ask? Let's be polite and say that Hunan needs to add, "1000 Year Old - " as a prefix to each and every one of their menu items, because that's how they come out tasting.
