Hunan cuisine would be good for a group to dine in family style where each person would order an item to share. Even though the portion size could have been bigger; it's on the smaller side. Came in and ordered 3 dinner entrees: Hunan style stir fried pork, spicy pork ribs which came out looking like salt and pepper pork ribs, and stir fried pea shoots with garlic which came out looking like dry fried green beans. The waitress must have gotten two orders mixed up or something. We were confused. The food was good. There are definitely other Chinese restaurants in OKC with better food though. I liked the salt and pepper pork ribs the best. The Hunan style stir fried pork was good, just too much oil. My friend said the dry fried green beans were too overgrown, something I didn't notice. Not sure if I have really found something that I loved at Hunan Cuisine. The food was good, just not really very memorable. I have not tried their lunch specials which hopefully would be cheaper and faster because dinner did take some time to come out.

The moment you walk in, you are met with an incredibly clean space. It has a bit of a home-y feel while still being relatively elegant. Food was outstanding and the portions were very generous. My wife got the braised pork and I the pineapple fried rice and we shared their fried pork buns, and steamed pork buns. Our daughter also had plenty to choose from. The service was solid, so it's very hard to understand why this place wasn't busier than it was. Beginning to end I had no notes on where an improvement could be made. We are adding this to the rotation of our regular date-night locations

Talk about authentic food! Hunan Cuisine is a hidden gem for most if you are looking for authentic Chinese food. Their menu has so many options it's a little overwhelming but luckily they have pictures. Be prepared to see some unusual dishes but do t be afraid to try them.

Wife found this gem while in the area. I was somewhat hesitant at first but we just went for it, glad we did. It's inside the Chinese market place (I assume). Plenty of parking - Free. I think this is a family restaurant which is a huge plus for us as we enjoy supporting family owned businesses. As you walk in you realize this is where local Chinese people come. We sit at place of our choosing and our server was quick to come get our drink orders. We also ordered fried egg rolls, fresh, hot and delicious. Wife also had the spicy soup and I had the egg drop soup, both small bowls are good enough. She enjoyed her spicy soup although didn't know what was all in it lol. The egg drop would was not watery and plentiful. As main dishes wife enjoyed the chicken mushroom and had it made spicy l, she really enjoyed it, lot of food for sure and served with white rice which was perfectly prepared. I had the beef & broccoli, absolutely loved it, very flavorful with a lot beef within the dish, also came with white rice. Would highly recommend stopping by for some great Chinese food and supporting a local business. Can't wait to return.

Amazing food (especially of the spicy variety) at very reasonable prices. First night I went ai got the spicy braised beef noodle soup, chili oil dumplings and the egg drop soup - all of it was fantastic. Second time I went with my friend Tony we ordered the cumin lamb, General Tsao's chicken, spicy cold noodles, pan fried dumplings, pineapple fried rice (I know a lot but all worth it) and brown sugar rice cake dessert - they also generously provided complimentary grass jelly desserts which were delicious. The herbal tea can drinks were also great. Highly, highly recommended and they are brand new! (Right next to the Super Cao and where the old Lotus Thai used to be as well).

This place is interesting. Since we liked spicy ribs the last time we were here, we ordered again but the presentation & style were different. We prefer the one we had the last time. The beef flat noodles were better this time compared to last. Mongolian beef still good as usual. There was not much service today since they were busy.

Love this place. Lots of vegan options. Lots of flavor. We usually get mapo tofu, kung pao tofu. They also have salt and pepper tofu, sesame tofu, and many other vegan dishes. The scallion pancake, cucumber salad, fried spring roll annd sesame balls are also delicious dishes that we frequently get. The prices are great too! Lunch special filled us up for $11 each plus we had leftovers to take home. The restaurant is always very clean and a lovely atmosphere.

They've got the roast meats, a large Chinese dinner menu, an equally large Vietnamese dinner menu, catering for events, and my favorite: their dimsum menu. For their regular menu, my family and I will frequently order to go and occasionally dine in. We often order off the Chinese menu when we're going family style (flat noodles, salt & pepper squid, egg noodle lo mein, and scallion chicken are some of our favorites), and we will order from the Viet menu for individual portions (we love their egg noodle soups, pho, broken rice platters). One of my favorite dishes is their lotus root summer salad, and I've not found another place that beats that dish here! I've found their service with regular dining in to be hit or miss. Most of the time we get great service but a few times here and there we have a hard time finding our server. Moving on to my favorite part of Golden Phoenix- the dimsum. They serve dimsum primarily on the weekends from opening to 3pm (I think), and they have really brought up the OKC dimsum game with their large and delicious dimsum menu! Their dumplings like the hargow and shiumai are large, filling, and delicious! I particularly love the fried shrimp and chives dumpling and their shrimp egg rolls. The service during dimsum is fantastic because they've got people pushing around carts and carrying plates of food out to you. Once you're ready for dessert, make sure you grab some egg tarts for the table!

I looked at the reviews and everything told me they are as good as they claim, without being "Breaking The Bank Account." The online services are good. Ordered meals for a robust two person dinner for home, because we just wanted to eat at home after a long busy day at work. Nothing fancy, just a comfort meal in bed while watching a Rom-com Movie and enjoying our beautiful dinner. I for one absolutely LOVE Curry Chicken over white rice. The recipe and portions are perfect. So anything you order should be a "Home Run" meal from Grand China! I grew up being able to eat The Original "Jackson Street" San Francisco China Town Center Chinese Food Restaurants. History: San Francisco China Town is the original destination for Millions of Chinese Immigrants who came to America directly from China to work on The Trans-Continental Railroad in the early 19th Century. If you ever watched Bruce Lee's Movies, he shows you a lot about SF China Town's history. Point being, SF China Town set the food quality benchmark ever since they arrived to provide labor for the railroads buildup across America in the early 19th Century. Grand China exceeds that SF China Town Benchmark and you won't be disappointed. Good Day

Some bites had tablespoon sized globs of thick sauce on them. Not good. Other bites had hardly any sauce. I expect my food tossed in sauce, not the sauce kind of thrown on top like its gravy. Fyi: fried rice means plain fried rice. It's just rice that is fried. No veggies or anything. So make sure to specify if you want veggies and egg. This is my mistake. The lo mein was a fairly tasty average lo mein with thick noodles. I probably won't order it again, but it was filling. Portions were pretty standard Chinese takeout portions. Prices were pretty standard as well. Overall, I'd say this is a pretty average Chinese takeout place that just needs to toss the food a bit more after adding sauce.
