I had the beef mushroom, the beef was so tender and sliced in such perfect bite size pieces, each bite rich with brown gravy,carrots and spices was a real treat They also have green, jasmine and oolong tea. Pork Dumplings in Chili Oil (1/5) - This appetizer was disappointing since the chili oil sauce was primarily a soy sauce base. Fish Filet poached with chili oil (5/5) - This has always been my favorite Szechuan dish and Yu Xiang Yuan's version was absolutely delicious and spicy. There was ample fish filet and a good amount of napa cabbage and bean sprouts. This dish included your choice of white rice or fried rice. Eggplant in garlic sauce (5/5) - This eggplant dish was drenched in a delicious garlicky sauce packed with flavor. There was also bell pepper and onion with well cooked eggplant. The noodles with gravy sauce was so delicious, it's comparable to jjajangmyeon. My Szechuan-style braised beef noodle soup is spicy, but I can still eat it. The broth is so flavorful. Tried a new place tonight in Del City. They don't have social media but I saw it on an instagram post earlier. It was fabulous! I've been on this Szechuan kick lately and Yu Xiang Yuan Restaurant was the perfect place for our dinner. Terry started with an egg roll and water and I got an oolong tea. Terry chose the sesame chicken (the sauce was to die for!) and I went for the spicy dry pot. We laughed when the waiter told us that dish would be enough for both of us (Terry doesn't do spicy) and we laughed again when the very large bowl of food came out. It was enough for 3+. I'll be eating it for days (without complaint as it was fantastic). The wait staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely go back. I just left this place, first time going so I ordered 3 dishes. (Sorry, I didn't take a picture, wasn't expecting to do a review but this was too good not to.) I ordered the jumbo shrimp with asparagus with XO sauce, chongqing crispy diced chicken, and wood tea smoked duck. All of them were amazingly delicious! I will definitely be back because there is so much more on the menu I want to try. The menu is massive, so there's something for everyone, and in different price ranges. They have the usual take out but I recommend trying the authentic cuisine and specialty dishes. Somethings require a reservation in advance, likely for the freshness and availability.
