Low quality Chinese food. Gnats in the restaurant made it hard to eat inside- They were spraying. Two table had garbage on them. Place is unclean. Hot and sour soup was oily and spring rolls were tasteless. All paper and plastic plates cups and utensils. 90% of service is take out. Nice staff took my order in person and did fantastic. I was in the area passing through on way home I was craving Chinese. I did a carryout - my food was cooked to order and it was piping hot. My order was accurate and I definitely will return when in the situation of hunger for Chinese. I really felt valued with my interaction with the staff. Again, another local Americanized Chinese place that is doing it a little better, but not as good as it should be. General Tso's is typical for the area, large portion, heavily breaded, smothered in a sweet and slightly spicy chili sauce. Passable, but it's missing the tangy vinegar, needs more caramelization of the sauce and more peppery heat. And their hot & sour soup is one of the most disappointing around, bland, very eggy, as if they just added some vegetables to an unseasoned egg drop soup. Avoid it altogether. They get very distracted on the phone while taking orders. So be sure to double check everything. This is a fairly busy takeout spot. If you order at dinnertime any day of the week, expect a line of other to-go customers waiting patiently. Overall QQ is just okay. Too bad there isn't any better within 10 miles. I ordered using an online app and was able to state a time we wanted to pick up our food, which is a plus on busy days. We ordered the following: Pineapple Chicken: was not expecting this to be breaded, but it was pretty good. Good sizes of chicken... more chicken than breading. The sauce was tangy with a hint of sweet. Chicken with Cashew Nuts: Chicken was without breading. Again, good pieces of chicken. Mellow sauce with plenty of cashews. Vegi Lo Mein: pretty standard and it was acceptable to the 4 year old. Shrimp with Snow Pea: lots of shrimp in a typical sauce; tons of snow peas. Beef and Mushroom: The sauce was just right. Sometimes this dish can be overly sauced; this one was the perfect balance of sauce, meat and mushrooms. I realized that I ordered on an empty stomach and we had tons of left overs, which I like. I am... going to get soooo fat... Close proximity (and let's be honest, laziness) influenced the decision to try QQ China. The online menu/ordering system solidified the decision to try QQ China. The food ensured the need to break out my old shame pants. You know, the sweatpants you own from when you were like 50 lbs overweight, and now you wear them whenever you hate what you're becoming? Oh it's just me that has shame pants? QQ China's food options are varied (the menu is quite expansive), delicious, filling, and they hit the spice levels so well. If QQ China refers to something as being "spicy" on the menu, take their word for it. If you're used to the "spicy" from other Chinese restaurants, be careful. I'm talking to you, guy or girl who gets heartburn from sitting too close to Tabasco sauce. The online ordering system lets you leave requests/notes on whatever menu item you're ordering (within reason, I'm sure). I kept typing the words "Extra Spicy" on everything. And everything was "Extra Spicy" to my delight. They take credit cards; I think you have to spend a minimum of $5.00 or something. We ended up over-ordering (which won't happen again now that we know what to expect) so we had enough leftovers for lunch and dinner the following day. The "large" size options can easily feed two or three people (depending on their appetites). The egg rolls were good. The crab rangoons were fine. The wontons were good. The Hot & Spicy Lo Mein was delightful. The Hunan Chicken was equally delightful. The chicken on a stick was awful. So bad. Food prep is speedy, but customer service is not friendly. Not rude or anything inappropriate. Just... not overly friendly. I created a QQ China log-in so that I can place my orders quickly from my computer. I feel so much shame. This was by far the worst food quality and service we have experienced. Our order was wrong, and we returned to get the right items. This used to be a quick go-to for our family. There was nothing really outstanding on the menu, but it was reliable Chinese-American fare. The last two visits were awful, however, and we won't be returning. We gave them a second chance as we had been eating there for years without issue, but on this most recent visit today, every single fried item tasted like fish. My husband and I have been going to Q Q China for the past eight years. Last week placed our usual order to go which was fried dumpling, beef and broccoli, hot and sour soup. The soup was nasty, slimy. After one spoonful I put the cover back on the soup container and set it aside. The fried dumpling had no taste at all. The dipping sauce was too sweet and gross. The next day we were out and about and decided to stop bye and let them know about the soup. The lady that has always helped us and knows us personally by our first names told me to bring the soup back. After eight years of coming here, it wasn't the idea that bringing it back was the problem, it was the idea that she thought I was trying to rip them off.
