    Beef Shrimp with Broccoli

We stopped in here for takeout while on the way home. Very unassuming from the outside. The staff was friendly and the food was ready in about 10 minutes as promised. Not as expensive for combination plates as sone other places have been recently. Overall the food was good. The dumplings were amazing. I would go back just for them. I also liked how the chicken was cut into smaller pieces for the General Tso. It allows for more of the sauce to seep into the chicken. Will definitely be getting food here again.

Consistently good! Too bad they don't have any delivery service.. but the food is delicious, generous portions and reasonably priced. Never disappointed here. I just wish the guy answering the phone can be a little more nice and friendly. He seems miserable running this Chinese joint. Hence the 4 stars.

    Their "Chicken Chow Mein"
    Rajae H.

I ordered a simple chicken chow mein... This is horrible. No flavor at all, better tasting at a fast food chain. I wouldn't be surprised if they literally only got the ingredients, boiled it and called it a day. No seasoning, no sauces. I was confused when I got it and saw that the food looked basically clear. I also had an order of their crispy chicken which is like playing Russian roulette honestly. You either bite into actual crispy chicken or mostly fried batter with a sliver of chicken some how in there.

I found it on yelp and reviews of others are very accurate as mixed veggie with garlic sauce which I ordered was fresh veggies and spicy . Fast and great services

Supposedly cold sesame noodles w/ blob on top

I've driven by this place a million times en route to Danbury and always wondered how their takeout was. I should have known better when I found the place completely empty on a Saturday night. Nearly all the food seemed to be reheated and previously prepared. Eggrolls were dry and doughy, just about nothing inside them. I couldn't even get myself to try the cold sesame noodles, they just didn't look right. Ditto for the wontons in hot oil, which appeared to be more of a gooey bolognese sauce with peas and carrots. Very odd. I'd recommend searching around for a place that is busy w/ a lot of takeout business. That's usually a sign of hope.

    Perfect hot and sour soup.

Food is really good. They have been very busy during covid. Quality food. Good service. And complying with masks during covid.

We've had twice cooked pork, Gen Tso's, beef +broccoli, egg rolls, sweet+sour chicken and all soup. The dumpling fried or steamed are what you find anywhere. The negative reviews need to be examined very closely. Here's my theory: We live in a world with a generation of people who easily get their feelings bruised. When this area had a greater concentration of transplanted NY-ers or descendants of city folk, people were more accustomed to gruff conversation. The young man's english skills in here aren't great. Sometimes his reply could be interpreted as gruff. He yells in Chinese to the kitchen help. Sometimes they yell back. Everything is on display here - you can watch them cook your food - there is no kitchen in back. It's all transparent. People in Bethel are scared of this behavior. They think they should be walking out with participation trophies as customer of the hour or something. If they think you talked tough to them here in Bethel, they will gather their friends and bravely face you down by writing a collaboration of bad reviews on Yelp. Trust me, I sometimes am told I have the lowest threshold shull bit than alost anyone, and this guy who runs the place has never been anything less than polite, providing decent Chinese food at a reasonable price. I am really dismayed at the number of people trying to ruin the livelihood of a hardworking guy over what was probably hurt feelings. I'd recommend these snowflakes toughen up, but have a shred of decency by leaving this man alone. The food here is more than acceptable and claiming you threw it out is just vindictive garbage. Having been to China and Taipei I can tell you this food is on a par with the typical competitors. I am just not the biggest fan of Chinese food otherwise I'd give 5 stars, but 4 stars is nothing to sneeze at. I wish this man well, and wish the Bethel negative people peace and more love, less hate.

Stopped by for a late lunch…read more Open floor. No one was there seated, but it was around 2pm on a Friday. We were led to a table against the wall. Waiter was friendly and gave us some time to make our selections. I chose the egg roll, tangerine beef. Hubby chose the orange chicken. I asked the waiter if the soda came in a can. He said yes. We then waited for our meal. He returned quickly with my soda, in a glass with lots of ice. Not what I expected. But I guess I wasn't specific about my drink order. My egg roll was good. Cut decoratively in half at an angle, piping hot. Our food arrived shortly. Both plates were generous and came with white rice. Cut a portion in small pieces to taste with rice. Tasted so good, burned my tongue a little it was so hot. Ate a bit more, and that's when my mouth started burning up! The dish was a little more spicy than I expected. Tried to eat more, but it was too much for me. My hubby on the other hand was in his glory. He Loves heat. The spiciest the better. He tried mine and said it was just as spicy as his, which he loved. So, I just thought we would take mine home for him to enjoy later. I have to say it was good, before I had to cry uncle. So would definitely have to return for another try and let them know I can't take the spiciness. I did notice that the restaurant was busy with takeout orders. So I guess that's their main business. So I wouldn't say this was a cozy place. But the food is good. Lots of parking outside since they're next to a supermarket and liquor store. There weren't any 'lunch' specials, so this was over $50 with tip. By the way, lots to choose from the menu. I only took pictures of some pages.

I got the Pho with duck, and my wife got the crispy duck dinner. Both dishes were "meh" at best. Below average. As far as service... it was harried and we were only one of two couples eating in this "NOT so cozy" restaurant. We went at 5:30 expecting to wait because it was small and "cozy" and it was Chinese New year. (1) no problem eating in during dinner hours (2) not a stitch of celebratory anything for Chinese New Year.. not even a place mat. No chinese noodles at the table and there was one continuous plain bench and brown tables (no table cloths) on the opposite side aka cafe style and cafeteria style seats. Hardly "cozy" at all. Overall high expectations, below average experience, ambiance and food.
