The delivery service is poor. Order submitted at 6:54 pm, estimated delivery was 7:20 to 7:35 pm, order received 8:13 pm. I think the idea is if they list themselves as "delivery in 30 to 40 minutes" you will most likely choose this Chinese food restaurant before the ones who list "60 minutes or more." The trouble is that the order doesn't come in 30 to 40 minutes, but instead you're left waiting up to an hour (or more) for your "estimated time of delivery" The food itself is good, nothing special, but traditional Chinese takeout, hence the 3 star rating. I thought it was a little pricey for the amount of food I ordered. For 1 order of shrimp toast, small shrimp with broccoli and Singapore Mai Fun, the total was $38 with tax, tip, delivery fee. And the portion of the shrimp with broccoli was tiny! Would I order from here again? Probably not, as I don't like being misled about how long it will take to receive a delivery order, and I don't think the price, with delivery fee is justified in relation to the quality of the food. read more

This is by far and away the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The boneless spare ribs taste gamey like it's made from road kill, and that's only 20% of what you eat, the other 80% is fat. The egg roll I got with my lunch special was a shrimp egg roll. When has that ever been shrimp without a request or paying more? Pork is expected, it always has been. Also it was mushy at best, nowhere near crispy. The pork fried rice is white rice coated in soy sauce with itty bitty shreds of pork, like bacon bits but less appetizing. It's sour and not savory at all, no vegetables, little to no effort put into it. The worst, however, is the General Tso's chicken. First, it's a color that I've never seen before. It's like they added a packet of hot sauce with a packet of duck sauce. And it too is very sour, not sweet at all, not spicy at all. The chicken pieces are very small and hidden under clumps of breading, and I think the chicken I got may have gone bad because one bite tasted like straight up fish. That's when I put the fork down. I ordered food online from this restaurant, and when I got there to pickup, the lady was behind plastic and not wearing a mask. She proceeded to walk around the plastic and put the food on table for me to take. NO MASK ON HER!!!!! I get it we all get busy. It's Friday night and who doesn't want Chinese food? But we waited over an hour for our delivery. It arrived 1 hour past the delivery window. I have kids for crying out loud! I'd blame grub hub which in part I do as the delay reaching them was unacceptable. I used the app. I didn't want to talk to anyone outside my circle...not tonight. Let's get into this shall we. The chow fun had to be thrown out. It was inedible and while the egg foo young was good, the gravy looked like jello and was not as flavorful as I've had in the past. Another clue to how busy they were! The noodles were cooked beyond recognition! But let's end with a silver lining though because everything else was good--ravenous hunger aside. Hunan Chicken, fried rice, steamed dumplings (weird right given the chow fun situation??) and egg foo young (gravy aside) were winners. Ordered on grub-hub and when it was 15mins late called to confirm order the woman told me the driver was on the way, the restaurant was a 10 min drive... 30 mins later we called again and no answer then called grub hub and they were told the driver would be there in 2 mins...15 mins later it showed up at almost midnight and it was bland and and tasted old gave all of us stomach aches the soup was a cup of noodles with plain water and stuffed with fake chicken. I had ordered chicken wings, shrimp & broccoli in garlic sauce and general tsos chicken. All was tasty except the general tsos was definitely different than what I have had at other chinese reataurants, it didn't really taste like chicken nor was the texture like chicken and it seemed to be more breaded than meat. Anyway, first time trying this restaurant and I am by far greatly disappointed. Had family over for a get together and after fixing a serving of the general tsos which no one was thrilled about, I was going to fix another guest a plate and found a dead fly in the sauce at the bottom of the container. The BBQ spare rib are delicious. The delivery takes a bit longer than expected, but its worth the wait.

If you want American-Chinese food, this is the place to go in the area. Everything is well-made and tasty, most of it fried or pan fried with lots of grease. The sauces are good, though sometimes not spicy enough. We always get the General Tso's chicken, and then mix up the rest of the meal. Their delivery is quick and on-time. Don't be put off by the accent of the woman on the phone (it's kind of thick), because she has never misunderstood my Jersey accent in more than a decade of orders. read more

I have ordered from Hunan Royal about 6 times in the past two months, and the food is always great. I'd highly recommend their sesame chicken, lo mein, and their steamed veggies are always cooked to crisp perfection. The order always reaches our house in about 35-45 minutes which isn't bad, especially since the food is always still hot. I'm only taking one star off, because the last time I ordered from here, they sent the wrong food out twice. Luckily they corrected it on the third try and even sent an extra 2 liter soda for our troubles, which I really appreciated since we had a full house. read more

Ordered through the EAT24 app. Food came about an hour later, which is what was estimated. Overall the food was decent. I ordered the chicken with broccoli, general tso's chicken, spicy beef with peppers, cheese wontons, egg rolls and steamed wontons. The general tso's was kinda soggy, but I'll chalk that one up to the delivery time. The flavor of the general tso's was okay. The chicken with broccoli was decent, not enough sauce even though I asked for extra sauce. The delivery driver was nice and Eat24 was available to ck the status of my order. I frequent many a Chinese restaurant as I travel all around the various counties through work and the meal served me today was top 5. Maybe top 3. It was ThAt good. They put their own spin on my curry shrimp. There was a sweetness with the spicy. Not gloppy at all. Very broth like sauce. Perfectly cooked with a nice variety of fresh veggies. The brown rice was firmly cooked and smokey. The hot and sour soup was also full of flavor, tofu, fresh mushrooms and a nice consistency. The BBQ ribs were meaty and well cooked and sauced. The entrees were each good too. We'll be ordering again.
