Great atmosphere. Calm and quiet setting with beautiful Asian feel. Tables are private and service is thorough with every item made to our specifics. We enjoyed a quiet dinner with great food and fine wine. SUPPORT LOCAL

It's a decent sushi sashimi place. Best to have a reservation to be seated quickly and easily. I went here with 3 friends and we split a few items. We ordered Grandma's ribs- grandma's recipe-marinated pork ribs, spicy Thai tamarind and cilantro. I prefer the smaller ribs as these are a bit difficult to chew. We also ordered Lobster shrimp Shuman-hong kong styled lobster and shrimp dumplings, served steamed- I did like these a lot. We split a lobster monster roll-tempura lobster tail, cucumber, asparagus, massage and sesame seeds- I didn't love this one however. We also had to wave someone down to take our order and give us water. A little improvement in the service area is needed.

Decent sushi and Japanese. Overpriced with fair service . Nice ambiance but overpriced.

I enjoyed another delicious dinner at the Sea with another couple. I didn't realize that we could bring our own bottle of wine for a $20 corkage fee we were provided with wine glasses, and an ice bucket. Tonight we shared lots of small plates. The spring rolls, shrimp pad Thai and lots of sushi rolls were a treat. Service was impeccable and we always enjoy watching the robot serve. I discovered that the beautiful Lobster bomb is their signature dish.

First time trying The Sea. First impression is great! Love the ambiance, dark interior, music, etc. although it can feel a bit loud if when the restaurant is full, it really is quite alright in terms of of noise. Upon arriving, the staff was quick to help and get us seated even without having a reservation on a Friday night around 630p when they seemed quite full. I really enjoyed that! And they also have both interior and outside seating & in the event that you do want more quiet, I do recommend the outside seating (it's also not too hot since they have multiple fans). The menu is quite extensive, and I was pleased so get our food quite quickly. Although I wouldn't describe it as southeast Asian, it in fact had great choices, wonderful sushi variety, as well as main dishes. All the things we ordered were great, although the one main dish we got was not spicy when it in fact said it would be. But overall great taste, good portions, and super fast!

Taste: pretty good tofu dishes and pretty good sushi rolls, but not top notch Price per quality: actually not to bad for the Boca/Delray line; Service: really attentive (late afternoon visit) Decor: clean, cute, some issues around the edges (sloppy service stations, mid-level restrooms) Beers: nothing to write home about (Sapporo list)

First time here and enjoyed my visit. Thai dumplings were really good and wonton soup was tasty. I had sex on the moon roll and thought it was also fresh and tasty. Reason for 4 stars is I thought the service was slow and it took a long time in between visit from our server. In fairness it was busy. I did like it overall and will try again

Because this can be a big deal for some... I must begin with this. Do NOT make a reservation and think you can show at the time of your reservation and get seated because tonight we were told, "people are seated based on when they arrive." Reservation we asked for an outdoor table... they have plenty... but they are very tight together and I was in a power wheelchair which would not fit in many spaces inside or outside. We saw a table open outside and asked could we please sit there since it had extra space.. we were a party of 4, with a power wheelchair. Nope. They sat a party of 2 who arrived right before us and clearly didn't have a reservation (the man said something about not having one). Communication was a challenge and rude. Ok! Rant over! We did get the next outdoor table that also luckily had some extra room (not as much as the first). Susie was our waitress. She was very cheerful and a delight to communicate with. Drinks! Sapporo beer right away please :p. Others at our table had hot sake, wine and NA ginger beer. We went straight to dinner... skipped appetizers. 2 had pad Thai (1 steamed tofu, 1 fried tofu), 1 had the tsunami roll and another Thai noodle dish. They all enjoyed their meals. I had 3 appetizers for dinner! Miso soup, veggie steamed dumplings, and the miso egg plant. We had another order of the egg plant at the table too. All food was delicious, as always. We have been there before. Just wish they could better manage reservations or simply not offer them. Definitely a popular restaurant later in the evening, in winter. Look forward to visiting again in summer when it's a bit quieter. Also, there are two very busy restaurants in the small strip mall. 1 valets... this one does not. Build in extra time to park in the next plaza over to then walk over.

This is more like a 3.5 than a 3. Came here with family, one of my cousins suggested this and I was excited since it's owned by the same people who own Lemon Grass, Eat District and Ramen Lab. I love the other restaurants and I knew they had a robot server too, so I made a point of telling some of the others how great this was going to be. They serve Asian fusion and the menu looks quite nice with various, chinese, thai, and japanese choices. The inside is lovely and there is nice outdoor seating too if you want to take on the heat. Our server was nice and attentive. We did see the robot server, but our food was hand delivered. Now for the food... Started with Chicken Goyza. The came 5 to an order and were ok. Thai Basil Chicken and the Spicy Cashew Chicken were both on the bland side. Sushi was the star of the night. It was fresh and the rolls were big enough to share. Spicy Tuna wrapped in cucumber was very good as was the Best Buddy Roll - tuna, yellowtail and cucumber topped with spicy salmon, and kimchee sauce. All in all, it was fine. In the future I'd probably stick with one of the other restaurants they own.

I had a really great dinner at The Sea. The vibes are very fun and cool, plus you can still hear the people you are dining with because the music is not crazy loud. I did not make it in time for happy hour, but the deals looked worth it. I ordered a miso soup, thai steamed dumplings, and a tuna roll. The standout was definitely the thai steamed dumplings-- they were savory, chewy, and bright. I could have ordered 3 or 4 plates of them as my meal and been satisfied. An order with an appetizer, soup, two specialty rolls, and a basic roll was around $50 which seems very fair.

Brunch on a Sunday and it was strangely a ghost town inside but was greeted immediately with smiles. The decor inside was Asian inspired with a splash of art. Met with our server Anna who was a rockstar and she provided us a few menu favorite options which sounded mouthwatering. By 12pm my wife's bottomless mimosas were flowing and our Wagyu Dumplings were plated, only four, but they were tender and full of flavor. The Blistered Shishito Peppers had a welcoming mid-heat bite to them. Waited a bit for the main dish of Korean Short Rib Hash to arrive, but it was worth the wait. Huge portion with vibrant veggies and crunchy hash. Not sure the identity of the green sauce but I drizzled extra. Grabbed a Thai Donut off my buddy's plate which was outstanding - not low calorie though. Full belly with an inspiring atmoshpere shared with a bunch of friends. Finishing up the brunch and took a peek into the main dining room where it was shockingly still a ghost town. Even though we were a large group, they accommodated us by providing separate bills, then my eyes widened followed by a confused smirk. The nerve of an empty business to charge a 4% fee (thought at first it was a credit card usage fee but was wrong, who gets this added money and why?) to use a private back room when our twenty guests were the only ones paying the rent and tips today - cmon dont be greedy. The bathrooms were a touch of originality boasting several gender neutral stalls with round acrylic communal wash basins. Geisha printed wall paper keeps that Asian theme going strong throughout. May come back to Kapow in the future...but that outlandish 4% fee still haunts me and hard to digest. Just this alone should have dropped the rating a half star but the ambiance, flavorful food highlighted by an awesome presentation in addition to the assertive friendly staff superceded that one egregious flaw.

The…read morerestaurant is part of Kapow Hospitality Group, which was founded by Paul Greenberg, Jamie Day, Corri Day, and Vaughan Dugan. The original Kapow opened in Mizner Park in Boca Raton in 2011, followed by a West Palm Beach location in 2017 and, this Delray Beach restaurant in late 2024. Kapow is known for its high energy, pan Asian menu featuring comfort food favorites such as ramen, bao buns, crispy rice, sushi, and wok fired noodles. I came to Kapow for Paty's annual UYE, celebrating 10 years of fun and friendship. They set aside a private room for our group, which was really nice. Our servers were for the most part attentive although several of us did have to ask for our beverages more than once. For brunch, I ordered their take on chicken and waffles, served with a bubble waffle. The chicken was flavorful and crunchy with a slight kick, while the bubble waffle was light, airy, and delicious. The dish was beautifully presented with fresh fruit and syrup. The bao buns and noodle dishes looked really good too. I paired my meal with an iced tea. Even though full, I couldn't resist sampling a few bites of the desserts others had ordered. The ube cheesecake, Thai donuts with two dipping sauces, and crème brûlée pineapple were all outstanding. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and location. Thanks, Patty, for hosting another wonderful UYE and giving me the chance to celebrate 10 fantastic years with you! A final note, I did deduct a star for the way Shelly Dominguez handled a concern Patty had about a four percent service charge added to everyone's bill. As I understand it, if you prebook a large group event there is an automatic 20 percent gratuity added and a 4 percent room charge. If your group comes in and did not prebook and the room is open you can use it with no charge. On my bill it was a $1.20. I wasn't offered a printed receipt but others who requested one noticed it and brought it to Patty's and the servers attention. I had no problem with paying it but I did read the response that Shelly wrote to Patty and it was unprofessional and rambling. It accused her of trying to hustle the restaurant and it blamed her for the miscommunication about the 4 percent fee. I have hosted a number of UYE's and contacted the host restaurants beforehand and never had to sign a contract or pay any kind of added fee or deposit. Knowing a number of reviews would obviously be written about this meal it seems strange that Kapow would want to leave a bad feeling over 4 percent.

One room is the regular dining room, and the other is a huge sushi bar taking up the length of the restaurant. The restaurant is a Korean restaurant with Sushi and Dim Sum and a few other Chinese meals. The regular menu is large. Plus, if you are there during the week, ask for their lunch menu. My husband ordered their sushi bento box from the lunch menu. It came with a house salad with ginger dressing and miso soup to start. The salad was crisp, and he liked the ginger dressing. The miso soup was served hot and had pieces of tofu in it. The bento box had 5 pieces of sushi and a half hamachi roll (he could have also chosen a half tuna instead). He said the fish was very fresh and delicious. I started with an avocado salad -- from the main menu. It had a lot of slices of avocado on top of the lettuce with cucumbers and tomato. There was a vinegar-based dressing on top of the salad. It was good, but I preferred the ginger dressing which I got a bit of on the side. Then I ordered a few items from the Dim Sum section of the menu. I started with their turnip cake. It was perfectly cooked on the outside and soft and creamy inside. It's one of my favorites and usually if they do this one well, then all the others are good. I'd wanted to try their shrimp stuffed eggplant or the crispy shrimp with taro but they didn't have any of these in house. So I had their classic steamed crystal shrimp dumplings. I liked these as well. We had very good and friendly service throughout. We even got a taste of two of their kimchi's as a comp offering. There are a number of Korean dishes and combos with different soups and grilled meats and fishes that we'd like to try. I know we will be back here -- I'm hoping that it is sooner rather than later.
