That chicken is epic. I know it's "broasted" and the broaster sets it apart because most taverns can't spare the square footage they take up. The end result is crispy, seasoned, moist, flavorful chicken with a crust not found elsewhere. We got the hand cut fries because most jojos are underwhelming. The crust on the fries make me KNOW the joes are also solid. Half chicken and fries or jojos for $18 is a deal in 2026. We were greeted by regulars and when one found out it was our first time there, he bought us both a round. True neighborliness! Both Jason and the other staff member were attentive and welcoming. We were assured this chicken left over and reheated holds up, and I don't doubt it because of that beautiful crust.
