The western burger was a life changing experience. I'm speechless that something as simple as shoestring French fries can make me appreciate this dump of a planet. Also the drinks were proper af

Total dive bar and I loved it! Wings were very good and humongous!!! I came in for lunch and the bartender was an absolute sweetheart! The outside looks a little sketchy, but it seems like a great neighborhood little spot and I can see myself coming back!!!

WINGS WINGS WINGS WINGS WINGS WINGS WINGS WINGS WINGS! Are you in Tacoma and you're broke!? Yo, I know some wings that will get you woke!!! .. and no you won't choke! It's a little funny shaped building in Tacoma! Wait until you smell the garlic and buffalo aroma! but PLEASE remember to have your bed ready for your coma! Hear me out, I do not give out 5 star reviews all the time or even often for that matter. This place deserves all the love, admiration, and glory of a WW2 veteran! Hands down best wings in the city and the price is phenomenal. I will go out on a limb and say these wings are "so" good that I almost don't wanna publish this review in fears that you might take my seat next time I go. I got a 12 piece buffalo wing for $11.99 which is "unheard" of these days when it comes to buffalo wing prices. Even the buffalo sauce is not regular; it got hints of that classic taste with some mysterious spice and a ton of garlic in it. HOME RUN Flying Boots & wings! PROS: - WINGS, omg the Wings!!!!! - Setting is usually ample - Karaoke is LIT (a super fun time) - Drinks are amongst the cheapest in town - Super laid back - Not many cons to going here CONS: - Parking - Location

Okay not your average bar with chicken wings I have social anxiety so I'm careful which places I pick to eat alone and let me say I felt really at home it felt like one of my home bars My waitress was too sweet she kept calling me by my name and I only told her my name once that really made the experience great! When my food came out it was so hot I cough ya little from the spices and I was already in love hahah food is phenomenal chicken is juicy and and really fun CLEAN environment I can't remember my waitress name but she had platinum blonde hair thanks sweety and thank you flying boots!

Flying Boots & Wings! What a place. First of all it is more for locals than anything else. Is it a dive? It sure as hell is. Plenty rough around the edges. Was it clean and tidy? The tables were all clean and ready to go. The counter tops were wiped down and clean. The floor is old and warn but was swept up pretty well. The bathroom? Well, to be honest the bathroom was pretty much a dirty, broken down outhouse with graffiti scrawled on any available free wall space. Maybe if at all possible make sure you do your business before you get here might be a good idea. The waitress was really friendly and helpful... maybe a little on the slow side but I was there visiting with my Son so as long as she kept the beer coming I was ok with the "slow" part. There was a mistake on my order where she brought me fries instead of the tots that I ordered but she promptly made it right. The Food? It might be that with all the covid stuff going on these days I have been craving a burger for months but the Western Burger and Tots I had really hit the spot for me quite well. Would I return? Well, I was comfortable enough but after all was said and done I would probably seek out place without all the issues.

Wings are some of the best I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend. Also got the mozzarella sticks and Philly cheesesteak which were also delicious. Fries are nice and crispy too!

Amazing chicken wings. Our favorite little dive bar when we're craving chicken. A definite recommend if you like good bar food.

Parkway Tavern checks all the boxes -- great beer selection, delicious food, good music, and a really cool neighborhood atmosphere. It's tucked right into the middle of a residential neighborhood and feels like a true local spot. The French dip was excellent. The roast beef was perfectly grilled, flavorful and tender, and the sandwich was really well done. Bonus - the bathrooms were super clean! Great food, great beer, ambiance, location and music. Definitely worth going a few miles out of your way!

They have all the Pappy van Winkles as well as most of the Buffalo Trace Antique collection. They only do 2 oz pours (no half pours) but the prices are still more affordable than any other place you'd find on the West Coast. Some downsides is that they don't have glencairn glasses and the place has your typical tavern smells, so you won't get the full isolated whiskey tasting experience. This place is after all a tavern, so most of the focus is on beers and a communal experience. If you're looking to try something rare without wanting to buy the whole bottle though, I think coming here for whiskey is still pretty good.

The server, he was one of the reasons I was actually excited to come back. Unfortunately, my second visit was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Before we even sat down, we were greeted by the owner--or, more accurately, acknowledged as an inconvenience. The pub was nearly empty except for one gentleman at the bar, and she seemed far more interested in continuing that conversation than welcoming what appeared to be paying customers. It genuinely felt like interrupting someone's first date. When she finally came over, she somehow managed to be both smiling and incredibly hostile at the same time. It takes a special talent to make an entire group feel uncomfortable while wearing a grin, but she pulled it off flawlessly. The passive-aggressive Olympics would have awarded gold. I have no problem with owners having personality, but treating customers like they're a burden isn't a business model--it's a fast track to empty tables. Add in parking her Jeep in the closest customer spot right in front of the entrance, and it gave off the impression that customer convenience wasn't exactly high on the priority list. If the goal is to use the bar as a personal dating lounge, that's completely fine--but maybe rename it something like F-boy Island, Love Is Blind: Happy Hour Edition, or The Bachelorette Tavern. At least then customers would know what experience they're signing up for. To be fair, the place itself is adorable. It's cozy, unique, and obviously decorated with a lot of love. Between the Christmas lights, faux clouds, flowers, and whimsical touches, it feels less like an Irish pub and more like someone combined Pinterest with a Hallmark movie. Honestly, I'd hire her to decorate a little girl's bedroom in a heartbeat. After reading other reviews, I was disappointed--but not surprised--to see that this doesn't appear to be an isolated experience. It's unfortunate because the food, drinks, and atmosphere have so much potential. A welcoming attitude from the owner would had made all the difference. I'd happily return for the food and the server from my first visit. Returning for the hospitality? That's a much harder sell.

We shared a couple of starters--deep-fried pickles and the Brätzel. Both were great. For my entrée, I chose one of the Berliner Favorites, a Schnitzel Sandwich with a side of skinny fries. It was also delicious and filling. If you can't decide on what beer to try, they offer a few flight options. We also had to get the German Chocolate Cake shot! It's dangerously good! The staff was kind and attentive and made the meal experience even better. If I come back to visit the area, I'll consider coming back for more tasty German food and a refreshing beer!
