Best sub shop in the whole wide world. Like it's a hole in the wall but about those subs.

The cook is extremely rude !! I hate to give negative reviews but I felt so offended that he. Was so un professional . I sent my assistant to order me a salad . Everhtjjng was written on paper handed to them . They botched the order and when I came down to return the salad as I am allergic to banana peppers the cook immediately in front of everyone stated how I was incorrect and I wasn't really allergic that I simply just didn't like them . And I shouldn't send others to order for me ect . The food is good but customer service needs to be revised as I was more than willing to pay for the other salad . read more

Best subs in Miami! Their subs are always fresh and delicious and made to order. The honey mustard chicken is the best and they even have a veggie sub if you're vegetarian. This is my go to spot and would most certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a substantial and fulfilling meal. The staff is super efficient and will even know your order as soon as you walk through the door once you visit them a few times ! Love this place !!! read more

The meat is cooked once you order in front of you and the subs are delicious. The bread is fresh. Restroom is nasty.

Generous portions of very delicious food, sort of like upscale truckstop food. So good. Honey mustard chicken sub is really really good and they make it on whole wheat so diabetics like me can enjoy it. Located in a strip shopping center on the west side of the Miami International Airport, Hungry Bear Sub Shop puts together some awesome subs. Everything is made to order. The large cheese steak is a humongous sandwich that could easily be two meals for normal appetites. Good quality ribeye steak is cooked on a flat top with your choice of onions, peppers and cheese. You can top it with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, jalapeños, etc. It's a great sandwich! Hungry Bear is famous for their honey mustard chicken sub... Chicken breast, with onions, peppers, mushrooms, choice of cheese and a great honey mustard sauce. It's uniquely excellent. The service is fast and friendly at Hungry Bear. This is a nice, solid old school sub shop near the airport that is perfect to grab a lunch. I had the Italian cold cut sub. Much higher quality ingridients than the chain sub shops. The bread was quite nice here as well. I had a few bites of the chicken caesar sub and it was great tasting as well. A little more expensive than the chains, but worth it in my estimation. My only criticism of the place is that the ordering process is a little confusing. Seems unnecessarily complex. But overall a solid place. read more

I like this place a lot! I was a hungry bear when I came. Their logo is adorable. Anyway my chicken caesar sub was really good and the guy working suggested I put bacon on it which I did! So good. Tried a couple bites of my hubby's cold cut sub, this was good as well but the chicken caesar is better. Definitely good lunch spot if you are in the area. read more

I probably will never go back. I ordered a steak and mushroom sub with no cheese (Saved .40) and yet my bill still came up to 9.90. If the sub would have been amazing, all would have been forgiven. The meat is ok but not worth $10. I should have just gone to Publix. read more

You can't do wrong. The food is always fast and fresh. If you are expecting white glove service and niceties go somewhere else. This is an old fashion sub shop. They make amazing food, quickly and get it right. So what if they don't always use their inside voice as others have suggested, I would rather have great food quickly.I generally don't stay to eat because as others have suggested you will smell like lunch if you stay there too long. This place makes great hot subs. I have had both the BBQ chicken and the BBQ teriyaki chicken and I have to say I love both. I like the BBQ and teriyaki more though. I am slowly working my way through all the options. Quick tip they only open during lunch hours, mostly for the people who work near by. It is well worth a trip if you can make it here. read more
