This place is a great find! I go at least 1 time a week with my co workers and love all the subs. My fav is the mushroom and steak sub. but they are all great and I try to try a new one each time I go. I pretty sure the owners and workers are not from Miami and have a different vibe to them and the costumers love it. So it's a no nonsense sub shop, you don't stand around in line here and play with your phone; NO! You look these guys straight in the face and place your order or you're headed to the back of the line until you're ready. Service here isn't warm and fuzzy; it's fast and efficient. I also usually get my orders to go since I choose not to smell like my lunch after I eat it; but I love this sub shop enough to sacrifice my ambience in exchange to satisfying my palate. I came to this shop many times with a craving for sandwiches. It never disappointed. My stand-by order is the Buffalo chicken sandwich, but the Bomb Burger sub is also excellent. The Buffalo chicken is spicy, but it's very tasty, from the overflow of chicken to the slight tang of the sauce. While the cold sandwiches leave some to be desired at times, the hot ones are spot-on. The service is good, and the fountain drinks are consistent. I always leave satisfied. During quarantine, I found myself craving hot sandwiches a few times and thus found myself here again. The sandwiches are just as great. Although there is more effort involved in taking the sandwiches away, the quality is just the same. This is one of the few places that never disappointed in quarantine. Overall, I definitely recommend trying Hungry Bear. This place has my business for years to come. read more

It's a solid local option, but not a destination in itself. My cheesesteak looked bountiful from the top, but was actually very light on the meat and heavy on the roll (which is not house made). Also, a good cheesesteak should have the cheese all mixed up with the meat; here it was just added like a condiment. Not a tremendous value, but a better option than fast food. read more

Used to order the honey mustard chicken all the time at the Kendall location when I used to go to MDC. I saw they had delivery at this location, and immediately started craving the honey mustard chicken sub. But.. it just wasn't the same, the sub used to be dangerously heavy-smothered in their craveable honey mustard sauce that was creamy, sweet and tangy, so I definitely felt robbed of the flavor, and the potential I knew was there. The honey mustard was extremely mild tasting not being able to pick out at all really. I'm going to go back to the Kendall location soon to try and get some sort of redemption for the sub I miss. The sub was still packed with ingredients and the bread (omg) perfectly soft and chewy almost melts in your mouth. My hunt still continues, but I would not order from this location again unless I go in person and ask for extra extra extra honey mustard sauce in the sub. read more

I just had a few hours to take a break from work and decided it was Friday and needed to get my sub on- Hungry Bear here I come! Yes, the place is busy (it shows that something good is going on here- who want to east an empty restaraunt? - old food not turning) This place should have 5 stars. The customer service is on point. I saw the owner stop his order taking from a mother ordering for herself and her teenage daughter because the daughter didn't want the toppings that the mother was ordering for her.
