If i could i would give HOBO -5 starts especially this place it's infested with mice found mouse drops by the register and something worse under the pop machine. They serve moldy rye bread to people and give no refunds for anything. Me and my family got served dry bread and my husband a moldy 16 what kind of place are they running here exactly? Fries were soggy my grilled sandwich was salty and not to start with the employees are on there phone VERY RUDE to customers front was mostly on the phone and people in the back cursing while the manager was staring blank not saying anything and ones i brought the food up that was wrong manager was very rude about it

    Ordered a grilled E and received a grilled F.

Poor customer service and poor sandwich making stills. If I order a grilled E steak I should not get a grilled F steak.

    #11 king!

3.5 stars... Disclaimer: I grew up with this place so my opinion may be a bit skewed. For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed the Hungry Hobo sub sandwich, and I always order the #11. Sweet pillowy bread topped with sliced meats and cheeses freshly cut and assembled to order with your choice of toppings, I always get the banana peppers to spice it up! They also have wonderful potatoes and it appears they now serve fries. Prices are in line with expectation and ambiance is train station meets lunch counter. This joint was on the list before there was a list, and I come here every trip back to the QC!

Just the best. Tastes real and not fake like Subway. Staff was friendly and the King Roast Beef and cheddar was pefect to share with my wife. These are the best nachos in the Quad Cities too!

It says that they have bread bowls on the menu but the lady said they are out when they clearly have them

Great food. Collin took our order and wasn't very pleasant. Received a couple dirty looks and acted like he didn't wanna be there at all.

There is a good reason the local chain has seemingly been around forever.

There's no sign, just a few windows, and with parking in back, most people use the rear entrance. It wouldn't be difficult to mistake the place for something much shadier than what it is. That's not to say, however, that the Wunder Y is without a hint of shady charm. It's rather steeped in it, actually, a dive to the core. Its patrons have made it into somewhat of an underground Moline institution. I'd never heard anyone even mention the Wunder Y, but once my friends and I finally started making the trip, we couldn't go there without running into someone we knew. For this reason, I like to think of it as my own little speakeasy. It's a great place to run into classmates, your old minor league baseball coach, and people that you thought were dead. They're all down at the Wunder Y. The shuffleboard table is a big draw, and I've seen a few people get hustled with it, insofar as you can get hustled at shuffleboard. But if a couple old guys walk up and ask if you and your buddy are up for a game, it's a pretty safe bet that you're going to get your ass whooped. If you're just a spectator, ask if you can operate the ancient scoreboard. That thing's going to be on Antiques Roadshow some day. I should mention that I once hated the Wunder Y. It grows on you a little bit with each visit, though, like a nicotine addiction or a rash. Best dive in the Quad Cities, which is saying something.

Steak nights are Monday's and Friday's. Great meal for $11.99. Cash only though.read more
