This place is so great. The space itself feels pretty wasted because there's lots of open space that can be utilized, but the huge windows that let in natural sunlight make up for it! But let's talk about the food! The menu itself is pretty small but it is really, really tasty. The vegetables are prepared fresh and cooked really well, it doesn't feel overcooked at all. I love that you get to choose your choice of grain - from fried rice, white rice, brown rice, or noodles. The noodles can feel very heavy, but I like that you get that option for a dollar more. I also like how fast everything was. The meal comes out in already to-go containers, which is perfect because you probably will be taking some home! It's a huge bowl!! I love the tofu and chicken. Ask for the extra thick teriyaki sauce if you get the tofu. If you sit at the tables, definitely add some of that sriracha sauce and teriyaki sauce! As we approached, all four of us got a whiff of what I think we all assumed was a stinky dumpster but when we opened the door and got inside, it got worse! It smelled like spoiled meat to me but none of us discussed that later so idk what their guesses might be. We went there to have my grown daughter's birthday dinner but they wouldn't let us come in with an ice cream cake. They were so incredibly rude about it that I felt bad for my daughter, since she chose the place. She and the rest of our party turned around and walked right back out but I asked to see the manager bc I wanted her to know what had happened. She was nearby and saw the whole thing, she just approached and "cake is food- no outside food!" We won't be back. I understand that many restaurants have a "no outside food" policy but that doesn't usually apply to birthday cakes. Even so, they could have been decent about it, they were as rude as they could possibly be, truly. We've done this a thousand times at tons of places and literally no one has ever stopped us or been anything less than welcoming. My son hadn't arrived yet so when we met up at the second restaurant, he told us that he'd heard they're rude at that one. We took our ice cream cake (from Orange Leaf) to Red Lobster, where they welcomed us and even offered clean plates, forks, and a big knife to cut it after our dinner! This is our 1st time back in this area since 2018. Sadly "Teriyaki Madness" has fallen far short of our original visit. My husband didn't even finish his meal. It was dry and the only reason he got to eat part of it was using the 2 extra Teriyaki Sauces to attempt to make the Chicken & dry noodles a little moist. And they charged us for but didn't include the small side of Teriyaki Beef we ordered by phone. We shall not be returning which is sad because their food use to be really tasty. I've gone to this restaurant twice now since it is so close by. The first time I went with three friends and ordered the Chicken Katsu with steamed veggies and white rice. I got the "bowl" size, which I have to say is a very good portion size. I barely was able to finish it there, good thing I didn't get the "plate" size (my friends felt the portion size was great too). For my second visit I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken, the sauce on the chicken is delicious, it's sweet with a tangy flavor. The meat was a little overdone but the sauce covered it for the most part. The restaurant is a good size with enough seating. It also has free Wi-Fi and outlets plenty. I think it will make a good spot for me to study in, especially since there is a convenient store connected to it. This makes me really sad to even be writing this review!! I have raved about this place to everyone I know that says they haven't tried/heard of it, and consistently get this once a week... well that's changing. For starters, when we walked in the front counter girl was very rude right off the bat even though I walked up to her with a smile. Fine, no big deal. After ordering, we sat and down and waitied for our food. We asked for it "for here" yet they bagged it up to go so we began opening up our bowls. Both of our bowls were HALF full and sloppy. I kindly asked if this was normal for them to look like this to the manager, even though I know it usually doesn't, and was told "yes it does and I'm not doing anything to fix it for you" .. I was so taken off guard because I am never the person to complain but when you're paying $12 for a bowl of chicken and rice you expect it to Atleast be half way filled ??? They then proceeded to kick my boyfriend and I, and the other 4 customers inside because they closed in 15 minutes.. told us to "pack up our food and get going soon" my boyfriend and I were so appalled and felt so uncomfortable we just left and sadly don't think we will ever be back!! Don't get be wrong, their food is good! But if your customer service is AWFUL and makes your guests uncomfortable due to how rude they are, there are better places to spend your money!!! read more

My husband had the spontaneous idea to drive us from Chicago to the quad cities. We stopped by since it was the only place with dine in service. The food was good, it was affordable. We got two regular chicken teriyaki bowls one with noodle and one with rice. It was tasty definitely buttery and full of flavor. Most places around are burgers and American food. This place is one of my favorite places serving Japanese food in town, even though the food isn't really technically Japanese at all, which you'll find out when you go to Japan. It's actually incredibly hard to find teriyaki chicken in Japan, even though you think it's Japanese. However Teriyaki Madness is chicken is very tender and sweet, and I think it's great. The only downside is that it's all the way in Bettendorf, and there needs to be one in Davenport. read more

First time eating at this restaurant. Ordered 2 orders for the teriyaki chicken breast, one with noodles and one with rice. I was approached at the table by the cashier that they only had enough chicken breast for 1 meal unless I wanted to wait 15 minutes. I opted to choose the regular chicken. The cashier/server never offered to refund me the difference in money or compensate me in anyway for taking the lesser priced chicken, the food came out and the chicken breast entree was hard and dry. The food is always great! Unfortunately they are always understaffed. Every time trying to call in a take out order they answer telling you to hold and then you're left on hold for a lengthy period of time or they just don't answer at all. Once you arrive there's typically a line to the door and only one person taking orders, one person cooking and one person trying to get all the orders put together. With as many delivery services they have now I really think they should consider hiring additional staff to keep up. I can only imagine how much business they're losing as many are not willing to wait on hold that long and staff are overwhelmed and snappy. read more

Today my boyfriend and I wanted to try Teriyaki Madness because their food on Yelp looked good and the prices posted on the menu tap on Yelp seemed reasonable. We also had the QC Dining Tour book and used the "Buy one bowl of equal or greater value". As soon as we walked in our poor experience began. The place had a strange, distasteful odor. The two ladies at the grill looked at us and continued their conversation for about three minutes, leaving us just standing there at the counter. I noticed while reading the menu that the prices online did not match the ones on their board. Once they finally decided to come take our order, we were met with pushback about our coupon. The employee tried to explain that we could not order a regular sized bowl and a large bowl due to their corporate saying they'd lose money if they did that. So we asked why then they'd even put that on the coupon, which was met with the same response. It didn't make sense because the company ended up losing money anyways since we were told we couldn't order a large bowl. We understand that these specific employees did not agree nor make the terms for this coupon, however their justification for why we couldn't receive what we wanted did not make sense. When we went to go get our drinks, my boyfriend tried to pour ice tea and only water was in the containers. Once we received our orders and went out to the car to try them, they tasted nothing like orange chicken but instead tasted like teriyaki. We are always empathetic and understanding when going and trying new places, unfortunately this is a restaurant we'll most likely not be coming back to nor recommending. read more

This was a really great "fast food" experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Gave us sample of the spicy chicken before ordering the whole meal. My wife and I got the same thing and would be helpful next time to distinguish the meals since we had different "bases". Everytime I come to this location it seems as though I'm met with an attitude. The food usually tastes great, when they actually get it right. I previously ordered food and they messed up two of the meals. I called back to notify them and they apologized and took my name down to give me those meals for free when I returned the next time. That was Mar 26th. When I returned today I was told since the mistake was over a month old, they threw away the slip with my name on it because that's their policy (something I wasn't informed of when I called in). When I persisted and explained how that seems unfair, I was told "Well you know what, the girl that took your order was probably fired already,so..." . I honestly couldn't believe it. The most unprofessional attitude I've ever dealt with. The girl taking my order (Tiffany) then called the manager and the manager (Virginia) said the best they could do is 20% off because they through away my slip. She repeatedly told me their policy as if it was my fault for now coming in earlier when I didn't know. This location is absolutely unprofessional and gives a bad impression for the name. The food was cold and one of the employees was walking around taking pictures of guests. When we asked that they not take pictures of our family, they told us if we didn't like it we could leave. With one positive experience and one negative, I wanted a tie breaker so I went back a few weeks later and it again was negative.
