I Just ordered a Detroit style pizza for $40.00 before the tip, and it was not worth half that, I wanted extra sauce and it was nearly dry, extra onions, well could find many and it was under cooked and cold. Now we did pick it up, but it was not cooked. I have had Detroit style for years, so I know what is should be like, and this more Clermont style shove in oven and hope its a tourist and never coming back. Recently, we tried to order two pizzas by using Hungry Howie's Leap Year promotion "Leap29". We called and attempted to place an order for a large specialty pizza and then the 1 topping 29 cent pizza. We were informed by the gentleman answering the phone that the promo they were honoring was for a large one topping at regular price and then the promotional 1 topping for 29 cents. The email we received clearly states "Get a large 1 topping pizza for ONLY .29 when you buy any large pizza at menu price!! A call to corporate customer service yielded nothing but a promise of communication at a later date. Overall, a VERY disappointing experience! Hungry Howie, do better!! read more

I have nothing good to say here right now. Just disappointed and embarrassed to have ordered this for my family tonight. I did an online order at 5:13p with an estimated 40 minutes wait. It arrived at 6:40p nearly an hour and a half later and the driver said the previous delivery didn't know their address and that's why he was late. I did not know you could place and order without an address. But that wasn't the worst, the pizza was so bad. The crust was so thin that parts of the crust had holes in it with just cheese on top of the box. You couldn't pick it up or it would fall apart or just flop over. Just look at the pictures. Anyone who saw this order and let it out of the door should be embarrassed and needs some serious training. And the pizza was cut so haphazardly I couldn't believe my eyes. I cannot recommend this shop in town. What a let down. I've contacted their customer service so hopefully the will make it right. Update: The owner contacted me and invited me back. Very nice guy and I appreciated the opportunity to try again after what he admitted was a total miss on their part and retraining was done. With that said, tonight we ordered another stuffed crust and while it was a notch better, the pizza was was so thin and not to my liking. Maybe it is just how they do stuffed crust. If so, I'll pass. I'm willing to try one more time with a normal pan pizza and see if that makes a difference. In the past, those were always acceptable. The pizza still wasn't cut well but delivery was on point this time. Thank you again for the great customer service and making things right. Let's try once more. read more

A seven to 10 minute drive away, but I just didn't feel like heading back out again on a Sunday evening. I'll pay the $5.00 delivery fee! Placed the order at 8:00 pm for a salad and Howie bread. At 9:20 no order yet so I called for an update. Told it's out being delivered. 10:00 still no order I called again, and told she had several deliveries it could be another 20 minutes. At this point, I'm looking at 2 and 1/2 hours to get a salad and bread! There's no excuse...call your customer and tell them there's a delay! The guy puts his manager on who gives me the same old story of being short staff. Fine call. But then he says if I want to cancel it's just getting ready to leave the store. I asked how is that possible when it left over 45 minutes ago...I was told twice it was out being delivered...I asked if being lied to was part of his stores policy? This restaurant is the best, the pizza is a lot better than Pizza Hut! They have more selections than the other pizza places. I just ordered two subs from the Four Corners FL on US27. One with lettuce tomato and peppers on side. And one without side option because I thought they would naturally come on sandwich. None of the items were with the sandwich, on the side or otherwise. So I called the store to ask why I didn't receive the items on the side or on the sandwich. The woman I spoke with was very rude and dismissive in her response. She just kept telling me how I was wrong and wouldn't even say she was sorry for the misunderstanding. She didn't care in the least, she had no explanation for why the side items we requested were not included. You'd think she would offer for me to pick up the missing items. She was not sorry one bit and hung up on me! If this is the kind of customer service you can expect from Hungry Howie's, then I highly suggest everyone reading this go elsewhere, at least you'll be treated better. read more

If you're looking for a crappy pizza this is the place. Went to drive thru no one came. Should have drove away then. I went inside ordered a pepperoni pizza and bought a two liter of soda. Cashier walked away and I needed a cup so I waited, she never came back so I took a cup off the counter. While waiting for the pizza she came back and told me I wasn't supposed to have that cup, they give smaller cups for the two liter. Maybe if they actually were present this wouldn't have happened. The pizza was chewy and not in a good way. Lots of bubbles in pizza , looks over cooked. I can honestly say 711 has better pizza. And for what the pizza was the price didn't match. I was rushing home stressing about what to do about dinner. My wife suggested pizza, I thought cheap and yummy so I told her I was grabbing Howies. Their pizza is not a NY slice by any means but that is not what they are going for. Its a good pie that you can customize with different flavors of crust. It is cheap you can always find a deal on the app. My favorite is the lg pizza and howie bread combo for $10. The kids love it. I should also mention they have a drive up window. No stars Called to order a pizza to eat in. From the start the girl on the phone had an attitude. I over looked it assuming she was just busy. I asked her how large the large pizza was. She responded 8 slices. I said no I mean the size, her reply, 8 slices. I said, I mean inches, how many inches is the large? I don't know was her response. And she was getting mad in her tone. It was easily heard. So, as she said the total, I said okay thanks and I began to give her the name for the pickup, but she hung up immediately after she gave the total. Now we get there and my mother said to her, okay the large is 14 inches as she read it off the menu behind Marlene. Marlene responded I don't know it's not on my screen. Mom said it's okay it's right behind you, large is 14, 12 is med and small is 10. Marlene with oh well I don't make the pizza in a smart manner. Hungry Howie's is inexpensive and quick, and they still dole out quality pizza. However, once they mixed up my order with someone else's and I didn't find out until I got home and opened the lid of the box. I can't even remember if I got an apology when I returned the pizza, but I do remember when I did, I found the two girls who worked there talking more about their social lives rather than paying much mind to the customers who were waiting at the counter. I have given them a second chance since, and I haven't yet to run into the same situation again. Used to be a great place. The food now looks like it was slopped together, and it's so greasy. The staff could care less. I've ordered here for 7 years, at least 2x a month, and today was the last time. Unfriendly staff, sub par food, terrible customer service. If the staff could stop texting, and management actually managed, this place might be redeemable. For now, I'll just drive the distance to the other Hungry Howies, or order Domino's. Price comparison: HH 1 Large pepperoni pizza $6.79 At Domino's you can order 2 or more medium 2 topping pizzas (or stuffed bread or chicken) $5.99 ea. And the quality and staff are better. Avoid this place. We ordered at the wrong location and when we got here they were extremely rude. We were then going to move the order to this location but the guy was so ignorant we walked out and drove 25 minutes to the location on hwy 50 which they were much nicer and the pizza was great. If you want to support an ignorant person in business than by all means go here if you want a pleasant experience go elsewhere there are a lot of other choices in the area. HORRIBLE SERVICE by HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES. I order pizza from here several times a month because it's CONVENIENT. Extremely close to my home. However, for the LAST TIME I got hung up on while asking what the specials were before ordering. The girl that is answering the phone today around 5pm (dealt with her before in case management reads the reviews and wants to keep their business open...) was very rude AS USUAL and yelled out something after I asked what the specials were and hung up on me very loudly. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME this same girl has done this, but it will be the last time she had the chance to. I ordered from Papa John's on 192 just around the corner. 1000% better service and really good pizza. I ordered it online (their app is MUCH better too, hungry Howie's charges more than what they advertise and when you call and ask they get an attitude and say "I can't help what the app does. I'm not the app, I make the pizza. That's all.") I carried out and when I went in EVERYONE greeted me. They are now getting ALL of my business. I'll recommend they get everyone else's too! read more
