I'm from Chicago so I get excited when I see Chicago Pizza, in different states, especially when it's a brand like Giordano's. This is a great location and the pizza is just like home. I just hate leaving reviews that are less than three stars! In this case, Giordano's probably would rate between 2 1/2 and 3 stars, if the stars aligned, so to speak... While visiting Orlando for a family vacation I wanted to start my trip with Chicago style deep dish pizza, since we don't have it in Pensacola. I realize it takes 45 minutes to an hour usually to get this kind of pie. I also needed to order pasta as one of the kids doesn't like pizza (hard to believe, I know!). Instead of driving all the way to Pizzeria Uno I decided to try this place since it was close to the resort we were staying at. I placed a phone order for pick up. One medium Chicago deep dish with pepperoni and sausage and one family size spaghetti with meat sauce. I asked if the pasta came with bread and was told that it does. When I showed up to pick up my order I was told it was just out of the oven and would be right up. After about ten minutes I was handed two items. I said the person I ordered from said the pasta comes with bread. They said, no it doesn't. Okay, I'm on my way back to the family for dinner. I cut into the pizza to find it loaded with bell peppers and mushrooms! Not my favorite toppings for pizza! I call the restaurant back and explain I got the wrong pizza and want the one I ordered. I spoke to two different people and they finally agreed to make me the pie I ordered. In the meantime we ate spaghetti, which was okay. Not really well seasoned. Then I headed to the pizza parlor to pick up the remake. Got it. I get back and find the pizza to be pretty good. While I was waiting for food I could see this place was busy. It's decorated kind of like an old school pizza parlor, dark colors and lights dimmed. It was kind of on the loud side, due to the number of patrons present, I'm sure. Next time I'll probably just head to the other place that's further away and save myself some time and frustration! read more

I went once to another Giorado's about 2 years ago , I enjoyed it last time but I kept my expectations low this time around , but wow the pizza was great here. It left me pleasantly surprised. It was actually my first time trying a Giordano's deep dish and it was very enjoyable. Our waiter was funny and had a lot of energy. It was 10:22pm, they close at 11pm. This place welcomed us in and was happy and excited we came to dine "in." We ordered our drinks, appetizer and our pizza at 10:26pm, drinks were brought to our table at 10:28pm. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and was super surprised by the super clean men's restroom! Not a paper towel on the ground! Every paper towel and toilet paper dispenser was fully stocked! The sink was so clean! Far cry from a Red Robin or Olive Garden that's for sure! We started with two unsweet Iced teas and a water to drink. Our server, something, brought us lemons without even asking us! So great! Several televisions were playing different sports channels. Audio was just loud enough to toe tap to the music playing, a mix of current country and pop music. The restaurant is bright, clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The bruschetta tasted like we were in Boston, not over powering and tomatoes were perfectly ripe! Pizza came to our table at 10:58pm by our server "Jenny." Jenny just came back with more drink refills and we didn't have to ask, it's like she is always a step ahead! Drinks, napkins, fresh plate! She is great! The bottom of the pie crust is a thicker crust and it was cooked perfectly! The authentic pizza sauce complemented the puff pastry style crust, toppings and fresh mozzarella! We finished up and paid our bill right at our table with Jenny. The bill was $45 and with tip $54... Reasonaly priced and great value! First time at Giordano's and I'm already kicking myself for not discovering this earlier. We rolled in right when they opened (pro tip: best way to beat the crowd), and let me tell you--we didn't hold back. Five pies. Yes, FIVE. Add in some Caesar salads and a couple orders of garlic parm fries, and it felt like we were throwing a pizza party for the ages. The pizza? Absolutely phenomenal. Gooey, cheesy, crispy, and everything you dream about when you think "the best pizza ever." The garlic parm fries deserve their own standing ovation, and the Caesar salad was fresh and crisp--a nice balance before diving back into deep dish heaven. Our waitress was a rockstar! We had a party of eight (which can sometimes overwhelm a restaurant), but she handled everything with a smile, quick service, and genuine kindness. Big bonus points for a clean and well-stocked bathroom--because nothing ruins a good food experience like a questionable bathroom. Final verdict: I can't believe I've gone this long without Giordano's in my life. But now that I know better, it's officially a yearly tradition. I don't enjoy pizza like I once did but after a five day trek through all the parks at DisneyWorld, surviving on alcoholic Dole Whips (happy happy joy joy!), walking into this place and smelling fresh Italian seasonings was exactly what I needed! Chicago deep dish joint with all matching ambiance was amazing! Went with the lunch special that had many mix n match options and honed in on a fresh Caesar salad with a personal pepperoni (non deep dish) pizza. Salad was super cold and flavorful with a perfect accoutrement of homemade croutons and shaved parmasean. The pizza? Overflowing with cheese and pepperoni with a fresh-tasting tomato sauce that wasn't too sweet. Any fans of fried calamari? Order it! Some of the best I've tasted... My only regret is not getting our servers name. He was so kind and genuinely excited to ensure a great experience that it added to the flavors of the food! When I lived in Chicago, this deep dish pizza was awesome. Then I moved to Tampa, and Giordanos was there and gone in a flash. Tonight, since it is Christmas, we looked for something open, and thought Giordanos sounded good. It was not what I loved at all. Crust did not have flavor. Sauce didn't look cooked in at all. Chicken was super white. At least the inside of the crust wasn't gooey, but it was not the slightest golden. I think this pizza needed a little bit more time. I just tried to give it a chance though. Service was good and server was nice and she did her best to take care of us and other tables and the bar, & the side we sat was much better bc the other side had huge parties. This was a huge no for a repeat, bc the pizza really wasn't great, and i ate one slice and I was fine and done. Ambiance had lots of Chicago signs and decor and several tv screens. Lots of parking. No outdoor seating. For a small 10 inch for two to three people is almost $30. read more

Giordano's in Lake Buena Vista is a must if you're craving authentic Chicago-style deep dish. The location near the Walt Disney World resort makes it convenient for people visiting the Orlando area. We were able to pop in for lunch on a day we sat aside to relax at our resort and enjoy the pool. The restaurant wasn't busy, and we were able to enjoy some cheese garlic bread while waiting on the true star of the show, the deep dish pizza. We went with the Chicago Classic, and it was loaded with pepperoni and veggies. The pizza was fantastic and fresh in the restaurant, and surprisingly to me, it was just as good as leftovers after a long day in the Orlando heat. They don't take care of their customers. Ordered a pizza to go along with a salad and a pasta. Arrived after time it was supposed to be ready. We were told 45 min... we arrived a hour and 5 min later. When we arrived we were told it would be another 20 min. In total it took about 1 hour and a half. For a pizza a pasta and a small side salad. RIDICULOUS. Oh and to make it right they offered their mistake pizza... not even offered a cup of ice water or tea while we waited the extra 20 minutes for our to go order. While my 8 year old child waited in the car with his dad for dinner... no service here. Update after the meal... it's nothing like I remember from Chicago. Disappointing experience. Ordered through the online app at about 6:30pm on a Tuesday. The online quote said the pizza should be ready 7:21-7:31. I initially thought that was a bit long, but I love a great Chicago style deep dish pizza. It's currently 7:50 and one of the young men working says it's gonna be a little longer. The crew are interacting with each other and having a good time, but no real service and definitely no hospitality. Sitting here waiting for 30 minutes past the pick up time. The pizza here is so so so good. We ordered the sampler appetizer and ended up ordering more of the mozzarella triangles (the cheese pull was craazyyy) and chicken bites with buffalo sauce. We also ordered a meat and other meats pizza and a double pepperoni deep dish pizzas and they were PHENOMENAL. The crust was nice and flaky, and we ordered the pizzas with Alfredo as opposed to tomato sauce. They did take a while a to come out, which I'm sure is because deep dish pizzas need time to cook. But overall, a really nice experience and really nice, helpful staff. Definitely recommend, unless you're in a rush to get out. So whenever I'm traveling and see one I stop there. Thai location we actually pre ordered and did carry out. After a long and fun day at a Disney park we wanted something familiar, filling and delicious so it was a no brainer for us. We stuck with the Chicago deep dish and got a cheese and a pepperoni. The quoted pickup Time was accurate and our pizza was hot, ready and tasty as always. For those unfamiliar with Chicago style it is a very deep and features the sauce on top and takes a good 40 minutes to prepare if done correctly. It's is very cheesy, messy, filling and delicious Inside while waiting it was a spacious place so if we decided to dine in I'm sure it would of been very accommodating. Overall I'm always super jealous whenI see other big cities or tourists cities land a Giodanos or Lou Malanatis Chicago deep dish pizza location. But until we can get one in Lousiville back home I'll continue to enjoy them on my travels. read more

Needed an escape from all the Disney food spots so we went with Giordano's. I have a soft spot for classic deep dish so had to try the Orlando version. This one does not stack up to the Giordano's in Chicago. It was all cheese and minimal sauce. The crust had a good crisp to it so that was a plus. The delivery was a little over an hour so not terrible. One pizza always feeds more than you think. Glad I had it but I have had better. read more

Back again. Hey folks. Yep. Had another freebie from the timeshare gawdz. So tonight it's chicken chicken parm parmmm. Love the stuff. So how was your day? Get enough vitamin D via the sunshine? I certainly did. I am still in sunny Florida. Haven't seen a single Crocogator, Rock Python or Iguana. Not one. Back in Texas, they make Florida sound as if gators, snakes and lizards are on every corner waiting to grab you. Nope. So tonight, I'm doing the grabbin'. Chicken parm and buskettis. I'm in the deep south. It's buskettis or sketti. Either way, it's really really good. I'm now at the Kissimmee location about 2 miles from the "resort". Kind of tucked back in a strip mall rather than off the main strip, but GPS amirite? . Service here is just as nice as the Orlando location. Really a plus when service is on point. KC just scored a touch back on San Fran. Woo hoo. Maybe they're doing it so my meal is that much sweeter. Who knows? I gave them 5 stars because both locations were excellent on food, flavor, and service. The restaurant is also clean, lively, temperature is cozy, seats are comfy, tvs are everywhere you look so you can watch the game. Juju Smith just scored again. Man, they must love chicken parm as much as me. Had to withhold a star. Yes the chicken parm was good, but it did not seem more than from a frozen breaded patty they put great cheeses and a pretty good sauce on. Flour, egg wash, bread crumbs, deep fry. If I can do it, so can they. But it's still a first world issue. I ate. I ate indoors. I didn't hold a cardboard sign to get money for it. Girondano's 12151 S Apopka Vineland Rd DEEP DISH PIZZA!!!!!! I live in Maryland and have been looking for deep dish pizza, and haven;t found yet, upthere. Foe some reason Marylanders think deep dish = thick crust, okay some of them are stupid. My wife and I had to fly to Orlando to find a real deep dish pizza, not just a real pizza, but a F***ing amazing deep dish. A crisp thin layer of crust, real Wisconsin Mozzerella cheese, topped with a sauce that tastes like fresh tomatoes. The cheese triangles, not sticks, were fantastic. The place was just like a small NY Mom and Pop place that has been around for years. Not old and rundown, but comfortable. Our server, Dre, was so nice, and attentive. We never needed to ask for anything. Even he didn't understand how The Ohio State lost that Saturday to Michigan State, even though the Buckeyes were 20 point favorites.
