First off I should say the staff was very professional, especially the supervisor this evening, I decided I wasn't in the mood though for pizza and decided to go with the Italian sub. I didn't realize it was a calzone though. It was good but I'm not a calzone fan and thats probably my fault for ordering it in the first place. Next time I'll probably go with a salad. It will definitely fill you up though. You do get sub sauce that adds a little zip. I do wish they served iced tea here. I'm not a soda fan. I love Hungry Howies but today I was by far disappointed. Not only did it take 2 hours from ordering placed being worked on to delivery when you call to make sure they feel rushed when it's just a courtesy call. When the delivery guy finally showed up he smelled nothing but marijuana and I mean pure all over the pizza. As an adult I don't care but my kids were to eat the food too. Zero stars if i could. Just purchased a thin crust pizza from this location. My wife picked up the pizza and thought the pizza was more burnt than what it should be. The pizza was ordered well done, however after reviewing the product my wife called to let me know the pizza was too crispy and looked burned. After speaking to Hungry Howie staff, I was told that's how we ordered it, they would not remake the pizza, and if we were not satisfied, we did not have to order there again. I hope they keep their Taco Pizza forever! We've been looking for one and when I saw the commercial we had to try it! We ordered it in thin crust with extra taco meat and cheese. It was SO good! The toppings came separate so we built our own pizza. The only thing I wish was different was that the lettuce and tomatoes were rather large so it was hard to spread them evenly. The food is good as long as your order is correct. I would suggest visiting the Fishhawk location down the road instead though. This location frequently messes up orders and overcharges customers. When the issues are addressed they are not well received. The dining room has tables but they do not have a fountain drink dispenser, any cutlery, or paper towels/napkins for the customers to use while eating in making the restaurant portion less than desirable. read more

I ordered the same pizza I always do, meat lovers with banana peppers, the pizza was delivered, looked good, I bit into it, it had jalapeno peppers on it, it was so HOT I couldn't eat it, so I called to the manager and explained, he told me that he made the pizza himself & it did not have jalapeno peppers on it... I explained I was looking at a jalapeno peppers right now, I ask him for his number so I could send a pic, he declined, stating he would send another pizza, it would be about 45 minutes, so I ate some soup instead having already waited for delivery, the other pizza arrived, but we had already eaten, a couple hours later, I grabbed a slice of pizza, it was so hot I couldn't eat it. I called the store manager again this time it was a different manager, he told me that the peppers were banana peppers, he even took a pic to prove it ??? I explained again that I order from them a couple times a month and always get the banana pepper to look at my order history, he told me I hadn't ordered from them since Feb of 2019. I told him that was incorrect, I app order from them often & from Thonotosassa as well. But ok... anyway this pizza is too hot to eat, please refund me because I spent $30.31 on one large pizza we couldn't eat, he told me to bring the pizza to the store and he would refund me. It's now 10 o'clock on a work night, I said no, you are welcome to pick up the pizza but he refused stating the only way I was getting a refund was to bring the pizza to the store now... Just ordered a pepperoni and a sausage & green pepper with the butter cheese crust. First time eating here and I'm VERY satisfied! It was hot and fresh, good ingredients, good crust (which is 50% of the quality of any pizza, in my opinion), and the delivery guy was super nice to boot. Will eat here again! read more

Tonight I was told, 40 minutes after I ordered that they were unable to deliver to me because of recent activity in my neighborhood. I literally live at the entrance of the neighborhood. My husband went inside and ordered two large pizzas. After waiting for 30 minutes or so with no explanation of why it was taking so long, he asked for our money back. The guy at the counter who claimed to be part owner told my husband that our pizzas will be out in 2 minutes. My husband said "ok that's fine", he could wait 2 more minutes. The "part owner" at the counter, then told my husband that he already asked for his money back and that it was too late, and that it'll take a few days for the money to be refunded to our debt card. And his attitude about it was really bad. My feeling is that this may be the reason for the awful reviews they have. I had two bites of one piece and had to remove the item from my mouth because it was so foul tasting. There was a sour taste as if the ingredients were spoiled. I did not feel good about this place when I drove into their parking around 530 on a weekend and there were no other cars in the parking area. When I approached the counter no one was preparing orders and my order was the only one on the take out shelf. Needless to say afterwards we were very disappointed with their product. Absolutely the worst experience and the most unprofessional and disrespectful people I have ever dealt with. It seems that no one here at the store knows what they're doing. They continue to get phone orders Incorrect and when you call to get them corrected they treat you as if there's something wrong with you and it was all your fault. This is the second time that they get my order wrong in a period of two weeks with kids waiting Past their bedtimes to be able to eat. The second time they got the order incorrect they demanded that I return the incorrect food in order to get the correct food that should have been brought correct the first time. So I had to wait for the driver to come back an hour later with the correct food so that my kids could eat. I guess they think that we needed free food and that it may have been an attempt for free food. If you would get your s*** right the first time you wouldn't have to put people in this position to where kids are waiting twice as long to get their food. It is time that corporate gets involved and takes care of this issue because obviously management is not doing their job. read more
