I ordered a medium cheese for takeout. Got there in 15 minutes and it was already cold. Why? Because it clearly was a pie they had sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long. Kind of no-frills, but (at least for me), that's fine. For a pizzeria, the emphasis should be on the pizza and not some hoity-toity atmosphere. The pizza here is definitely pretty good. I am originally from New Jersey and pretty much took it for granted that great pizza was pretty much on every corner. When I moved down here to Florida back in 2001 (kind of shocking to realize that I have been down here well over twenty years, that's more than two decades), I was both shocked and more than a little dismayed to find that great pizza or even was not available on every corner. I was pretty impressed with the pizza from this establishment. I ordered a large cheese pizza (New York style) which was reasonably priced and rather tasty. I liked the dough, the cheese to dough ratio and the fact that the pizza sauce wasn't overwhelming or heart burn inducing. My only complaint was that it was a little too salty, which is annoying, because other than that, it was a really good pizza, probably worth a 4 star review. I placed an order online for a large meat lovers and garlic knots at 4:14 pick up was supposed to be at 4:59. I was there at 5 to pick up my pizza, they asked my name, went back to check on my food. Then one of the other employee's up front, not the same person that had first asked which was still missing in action. Now fifteen minutes later asked me my name again. We spent about $150, but it really wasn't worth it; the pizza was ok. We also ordered pasta, which was dry; garlic rolls, which were hard, and wings. First time here. This place is only pizza joint around here that makes white pie. The pie has a nice thin crust and a good flavor. Crust could be a little crisper and it would then be really good. It's the only pizza I eat. The crust is thin, how I like it, and there isn't an overload of sauce. I've always been a pizza hater but I would definitely eat here again. I used to live in New York, and naturally I've had pizza there before. I'm my opinion this pizza is better than the old corner shop I used to get pizza from, however everyone likes different things so I'm not going to say it's the best pizza ever, but My personal preference is this pizza right here. I also ordered Zeppoles which weren't the big balls of fried dough I am typically used to receiving at other establishments. Perhaps this place specializes in making mini zeppoles. They were okay. I have such a love/hate relationship with this place. Their food is so good, but they ALWAYS mess up our order. And it's never really big mistakes, just small annoying mistakes. For example, every time we order their Little Italy pizza they forget to add the fresh basil almost 70% of the time. I have no idea why, but they constantly miss this ingredient (see photo). And about 98% of the time they forget to include dressings and sauces for salads/appetizers. It's even more annoying when we pay for extra ranch and they just forget it.
